Someone made a big mistake in this video! There are only 14 Gialli movies in this list. Cruising (1980) starring Al Pacino and Paul Sorvino is directed by William Friedkin and is an American movie. The 15th movie should be Don't Torture a Ducling (1972) directed by Lucio Fulci. A daring Giallo and is one of the reasons the director got banned in Italy in the early 1970's. The other reason for the director getting banned is the sex comedy The Eroticist (1972).
Strange Vice of Mrs Wardh is really entertaining. The multiple twists at the end are completely bonkers, but in a good way. Loved the lead actress who was also in Your Vice is a Locked Room…
It'd be great for those of us who haven't seen these that you not spoil their endings...! It was obvious who the killer is in Deep Red, for instance. I didn't want the others spoiled, so I stopped 1/2 way in. :-(
The only similarity is that it is a violent thriller. Otherwise it is an American film. Giallo are the Italian thrillers produced between the 1970s and 1990s (even if considered as Giallo, Italian horrors are its own thing )
DONT LOOK NOW, is more like Giallo genre . Made by British director but he was clearly influenced by Agento , Bava etc ,not so gory but very mysterious to the end.
Giallo ,unseen black gloved killer , big knives, whiskey, razors ,well plotted ,bloody ,brutal whodunnits ,always entertaining. The Nic Roeg film DONT LOOK NOW with Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland is quite Giallo-esque and keeps you guessing .
Can anyone recommend more giallo? Maybe make a list of some lesser known films? I'm trying to find one i watched late one night on tv when i was 14. I don't remember much besides that it seems to end with a man running away screaming in terror towards the camera

Often called the best giallo, I tend to agree.
I love the movie Opera by Argento.
The Editor is a fantasically insane modern giallo film

How is Cruising in any way a Giallo?
It' is a slasher but not giallo good for you pointing that out.
The only similarity is that it is a violent thriller.

@barblessable Yeah but a least it took place in Italy.
It has some giallo elements, but no, it is not a giallo.
That super creepy doll in "Deep Red" freaks me out. How did it move?
Remote control?
it was mechanical

Who Saw Her Die (1972) is like a precursor to it.
Zero surprises in there, but for a youger audience a treasure trove.
This was a good list thank you. Is there any chance of timestamps for the titles?

Tubi is totally free they have a section for it.
@mkproductions2.0 i know. I use it often
@mkproductions2.0 i use that section frequently. I'm looking for lesser known movies that arent on there
TheKingInGiallo is a channel specifically for giallos, many of which are lesser-known. I've found a number of good recommendations there.
@Jean-PaulMichell thank you!
