Yes, but the genesis is a bit iffy. When it comes to inera+. The later ones are much much better. Especially the thunderbolt. But you should look at the tastier from hemoxian. It's quite a package of a kit. And extremely posable. There's also the repair pg talgeese, the in era lizard, the sky defender, heck you could check out the pg optimus prime earth mode. The iron man and spider man kits are also 6 premium. But it's extremely worth it.
The reason why they are popping off so hard is that non bandai companies realised that there is a market sector filled with people who buy MG's and gunpla not because they are gundam fans, but because they are people who just like cool looking robots with good engineering. That was an untapped niche since almost nobody was making high quality model kits for non gundam kits. There were some for other franchises, but there wasn't really anybody making original designs with MG and above level engineering. They started experimenting and saw that it sold well (first major mostly original non bandai was probably the zero gravity judge) and they just kept growing from there.
Agreed, the only reason I still hasn't bought any is only because none of the aesthetic sticks with my taste yet. The moment a good third party simplicistic and mass-produced looking kit shows up, is the moment I jumped ship.
Cool robot with great engineering, yes. That the main reason why I like gundam, and when the time comes when bandai doesn't do it anymore, I changed ship.
There are non-Bandai Japanese companies making MG-equivalent kits. Good Smile makes a ton of Moderoid kits for more obscure series. And Kotobukiya makes Muv Luv kits as well as their original line. Unfortunately, I don't think either company is quite on par with Bandai when it comes to detail and inner frames.
Thats me to a tee. I like a few gundam type animes but i cant stand anime much on the same token. But i loooove me some mechs. So idc if its a gundam series or a third part cobbled up original or fresh design. I live mecha model kits!!
I'm really happy that third parties are picking up what bandai isn't, but a lot of the designs I've seen are just incredibly kitschy to me. Almost everything I've seen except for the one PG Talgeese-replica looks like super giant robo to me, and I am not a fan of super giant robo. I build GUNpla because I like GUNdam's more miliatry-esque, function-over-form designs. Not to say those cartoony styles can't be found anywhere in gundam or that I straight up hate them, I just prefer the non-cartoony styles (with an exception for G-Fighter, of course). I'm happy for everyone who likes them and I hope they keep getting these 3rd party kits, but it's just not for me style-wise.
Actually get what you mean. There's certain charms on UC designs that what makes the fans prefer the simplicity. Most of chinese mecha design does go overboard a bit and over stylize. As for me, the In Era design is where i'm comfortable with in terms of original mechs between bandai and chinese manufacturers. I also quite like the Solomon Physalis and Strange Works Tallgeese aside from being technically a bootleg, but definitely better version of Bandai offerings. And all of this for me personally (i'm from SEA btw) comes from the value and money spent on the kit. For example the In Era Ruling price is lower from the P Bandai Stormbreaker FA. And the Ruling offer so much more in the box compared to the Stormbreaker FA.
@@SOBERABSORBER exactly! I pre-ordered the 1/60 tallgeese for around 130$ since there is no alternative from bandai (talking about the 1/60 scale models) also the bandai version would probably be a lot simpler designed and would cost twice as much, if not more. You just get a lot more mecha for the money you spend.

i built this last year and did get the deluxe version. i used most of the metal parts, mainly in the lower body, which gave it a very hefty and sturdy base. Yet when i used the parts in the arms, i felt they were too tight and might have sheered the pegs off, so i used the plastic ones instead. Now, i had very few issues when transforming it, and it held together without a hitch. i actually posted pics of it on me deviantart account. overall, fantastic model.
Do you know if the metal parts in te shoulders are ok or too tight? I just got this kit and i want to know if its still transformable even with the shoulders being metal
I would suggest the en era aurora, by far the best kit I've ever built, perfect gold metal frame, sturdy plastic runners, and deep panels. Great price point, at 120 u.s. and well over the 1/100 line. the matt gold and navy blue coated runners are second to none. It really was a pleasant build, im about to get the Lizard kit next. I have the trailblazer i just haven't had time to build it
i love this kit to bits and is my very first foray into Infinite Dimension/In Era model kits and one thing i can say, the Genesis fits side by side with the Eclipse Gundam, almost looking like a sister unit especially in transformed mode

Would it be possible to see the bottom of the Flexispot chair? I'd love to upgrade but I have some joystick mounts I slapped on my current chair and whether or not those would be compatible would be a pretty big selling point for me
So glad you’re finally covering these mech brand kits. They are absolutely phenomenal and will leave Bandai in the dust if they don’t shift their business model towards customer enjoyment and value
You are missing out these third party kits are killing it, Star Gazer, Star Destroyer, apocalypse fusion, this has been a great year for third party kits
Great review thanks for reviewing third party kits, for a future review you should review the thunderbolt, it’s a much more solid build I have one myself and I love it.
In Era is definitely killing it with their 1/100 designs. Got every single 1/100 release since Genesis came out. Currently waiting for their 1/100 Lizard which is a Sazabi inspired suit of theirs
I hope they keep growing and making them more available worldwide. Bandai has been dropping the ball with the lack of stock and availability in places like Europe, and I would understand it if they were not releasing more P Bandai kits than regular market kits (Which you can also only get in France here in Europe). I will gladly buy cool looking generic robots if they are fun to build.
Mine suffered a bit of early rg syndrome due to the metal parts. Had it up on my shelf, untouched for months, go to dust it and the legs flop down. Needed to use joint fixer to tighten everything. Note: The hazy look of the clear insert is a protective film on each side, once peeled it's crystal clear.
I have build the third party stargazer and the GP02, both came out last year, they were very intricate and the quality of the plastic was very good, the gimmicks of the GP02 would be considered MGEX level with a HG price, I would love to keep building only bandai kits but those 3rd parties are actually giving us model kits and gundam fans builds that we have looking forward to for years, I really hope they do the rest of the GP units as well as some 08th MS team and the blue destiny kits
3rd party kits were always give more (full decals, more accessories, sometimes, metal inner frame) for much much less price. The only drawbacks were the quality of the plastics and snap fits. However these days, they are catching up, they are getting much better these days, it's now worth considering.
All of those details came with drawbacks, mainly the loose part issues. Sometimes they goes too overboard with the design that it's inevitable for them to have loose parts. Sometimes I wish for a decently detailed kid but with bandai level of structural integrity. Nothing too fancy like this, but as sturdy as the recent RG kits.
Just to clarify, Infinite Dimension is also Supernova / In Era+ / SNAA... You've actually reviewed some of their other kits (the Hunt and Kill mech and the Thunder Incise Grace). I do hope you review their other kits since, judging from the reviews that you've made, I'm sure you will enjoy their other kits.
This is the technically the first kit which a collab between Infinite Design and IN Era if i'm not mistaken. Then it became full IN Era design/series with Ruling, Thunderbolt, Aurora, Trailblazer. The newest in line is Lizard which a collab with Real Minute Design. And the first zeon/sleeve-like design instead of typical feddies/goodguys. Ruling and Thunderbolt also got special edition color. Its like their own version of P Bandai i guess.
The genesis is a nice kit. But I would argue that the future of Gunpla via third party kits is the Einta Industries Sky Defender. Stunning kit and beyond anything that's out there Yes, even even beyond PGU grandaddy. You should definitely check it out and have a review.
You should try In Era kits next, especially the Thunderbolt and Lizard. If I'm correct they're a collaboration between Infinite Dimension and SNAA (Supernova).
If you want a cheap build MOTOR NUCLEAR MNP-XH07 WEI YUAN BLADE FIGHT Is what I recommend The build is heavy and has metal parts Solid and very posable
My list goes for this Einta - Sky def and weapon trident Nilson - Monument Repair In era - Lizard, Aurora is good too Snaa - Blue flame Vtiger - HiNu Motor nuclear - grunt units Wei yun white and the camo one.. the main ms were better but its spiky asf Ventiene - Apocalypse Solomon - Physalis Hemoxian - Thor, Tastier is better and the upcoming lone shadow.. but i like thor its such a big ass kit The list goes on actually since lots of 3rd party were popping off lately.. and its a plus for me since i like mg size kits and the fact that this kits were easy to get since i was living in asian country, they were also cheap if comparing price for like bandai kits, kotobukiya etc
There's a few more from the same company or their sister company IN Era+ after Genesis, namely Trailblazer, Thunderbolt, Ruling, Aurora, and the recently released Lizard, which is a Sazabi-esque spin off. All great builds
I am very tempted for a long time to buy these Chinese kits, but i prefer collecting something that i get inspired from Animated or manga theme, which give me remeberable memories of the comic or show.
You should definitely check out Motor Nuclear's Wei Yuan (either Trainee or Bladefight). They don't have that overly edgy design, they have metal articulation and great detail, with RG pricing on a MG size.
I cannot stand parts falling off and I refuse to use glue. Is there any model kit that holds together in one piece that doesn't have parts dropping off?
Chinese kits are hit or miss since the overly spiky aesthetic is not for everyone, but the Motor Nuclear kits are definitely worth a look and are my favorite brand of Chinese MG-sized kits. For Gundam types, everyone has already mentioned the Solomon Physalis (basically a 3rd party MGEX GP02), and the Eternal Star Glory (we swear it's not the Stargazer, Bandai)
Good but next you have to try the 3rd party figure based on Basara and Gundam IBO DH-01 based on Masamune date and Gundam Vidar DH-02 based on Yukimura Sanada and Gundam Bael
The all plastic build funnily enough is much tighter than the deluxe version. I've seen some chinese reviewers use some kind of white liquid glue? Like what's used to tighten metal build figure joints. If you want to help the genesis stay strong for long get to 2usd DSPIAE joint strengthener pen which works wonders
5:45 indid this with my sky defender kit, was even taking my time but still glossed over a few of the metal pieces. Its aight just says to add weight no structural integrity.
I have Supreme Evolution Glory which is suppose to be Stargazer Gundam's MG equivalent is one I actually admire! 3rd party kits tends to have more spicky details which I'm not fan those, even they're more stunning than Stargazer, but overall other reasons why I'm more attached to adore Glory is that of there's no bandai to produce potential more mg gundam even in the well known franchise... I'd never see bandai would produce STARGAZER GUNDAM anymore as this is my one of my favorite gundam more than Strike Freedom. .
You should try in era Thunderbolt it have insane amount of details both outside and inside (so you kinda want 2 of them one for full armor and another one for inner frame display😅).
The shoulder parts look like the pilot pods from zoids to me. Speaking of zords, have any opinion on combining a gundam model kit with a zoid kit? On a side note, do you think Gundam build actually quite harsh on Gundam Wing kits? Most of the time when they ever show a wing Gundam kit, they usually destroy them or they lose. Badly.
I'd like to note that this is only Infinite Dimensions second kit released and they have released 4 more that have gotten successively better engineered- reviews online reflect as much. I've built their 2 latest kits and they were so nice it made me laugh out loud as parts came together. They have 2 more kits planned for release and aside from MDSD Wing and MG Vidar, they're the only kits I'm excited about right now.
The instructions from their newest kits also clear up all of the early issues they had here. The last kit I built, the Aurora, actually had color instructions through and through. My only complaint is that the navy blue used in the build was printed so dark on the instructions that it was easy to lose details in the diagrams sometimes.
Mecha I recommend trying out the motor nuclear model kits such as the Bai qi and nezha. Motor nuclear makes metal build figures but they also make some model kits based on the metal builds

You might wanna check out motor nuclear kits they are awesome for the price of MG and all of them with diecast parts too.
As well as kit those are beasts!
YEA MORE THIRD PARTY KITS, THANKS MECHA LOVE UR CONTENT
I had the absolute pleasure of building this last year. Chefs kiss
Ahh..You forgot to do the Mobile Armor mode man but overall very honest review very transparent love it
You are missing out these third party kits are killing it, Star Gazer, Star Destroyer, apocalypse fusion, this has been a great year for third party kits
Great review thanks for reviewing third party kits, for a future review you should review the thunderbolt, it’s a much more solid build I have one myself and I love it.
In Era is definitely killing it with their 1/100 designs. Got every single 1/100 release since Genesis came out. Currently waiting for their 1/100 Lizard which is a Sazabi inspired suit of theirs
thanks for this review!! was planning on building one of the 3rd part kits specially the Mecha Core Industry's Charon
@MechaGaikotsu, you need to do a review of the Solomon Studio Gundam Physalis!!! That kit is THE GUNDAM MODEL KIT. I promise you it won’t disappoint!
We need more reviews like this!
reviewing other kit than bandai is the reason why i subscribe mechagaikotsu
Short answer to the video title: yes
I hope they keep growing and making them more available worldwide. Bandai has been dropping the ball with the lack of stock and availability in places like Europe, and I would understand it if they were not releasing more P Bandai kits than regular market kits (Which you can also only get in France here in Europe). I will gladly buy cool looking generic robots if they are fun to build.
love the vids! when are you gonna do a full review of the moshow lancelot?
So many Original Kit poping up this year even the good transformer maker like cangtoys making Gundam esque Kit. Try Sky Defender is worth every penny.
Mine suffered a bit of early rg syndrome due to the metal parts. Had it up on my shelf, untouched for months, go to dust it and the legs flop down. Needed to use joint fixer to tighten everything.
Note: The hazy look of the clear insert is a protective film on each side, once peeled it's crystal clear.
that chair is on life support. i can almost hear it asking to be put to rest.
I'm excited once you get into In Era kits, especially the new Lizard. Definitely one of the most premium company right now.
I just brought the snaa incise grace today based on your review! It’s only 16. USD on big bad toy store right now for anyone interested
My brain-eyes thought it was a blue Denial Gundam at first..
3rd party kits were always give more (full decals, more accessories, sometimes, metal inner frame) for much much less price. The only drawbacks were the quality of the plastics and snap fits. However these days, they are catching up, they are getting much better these days, it's now worth considering.
They're literally flexing with their kits. The last In Era kit I built; the last step was an injection molded dovetail. Never seen that before.
Btw if you want a sturdier frame, there's another set where you get metal frame instead of plastic frame, at the additional cost of 15$
I do believe this is the closest. We've come to seeing ya face but i must say love ya style
It looks like a build fighters custom! And it looks amazing!
🔥The Infinite Dimension Genesis definitely redefines Master Grade Gundam!👏
Yes. They've been killing it with mecha musume as well.
noooooooooooooooooo, later ill finish watching this. I might need to add this to my wishlist because of this video
Thanks mecha for doing this 3rd party kit. I hope you check out zza blue flame next, it was super cool with alot of accessories.
a straight up rip-off Wing Gundam Zero Honoo :|
Looking forward to see the next review for 3rd party especially for the lizard
Transforming this kit gives me RG Zeta flash backs xD
Getting this kit and painting it in a Zinogre pallet is suddenly a need for me.
You should try In Era kits next, especially the Thunderbolt and Lizard. If I'm correct they're a collaboration between Infinite Dimension and SNAA (Supernova).
I enjoyed the chair review
If you want a cheap build
MOTOR NUCLEAR MNP-XH07 WEI YUAN BLADE FIGHT
Is what I recommend
The build is heavy and has metal parts
Solid and very posable
My list goes for this
Einta - Sky def and weapon trident
Nilson - Monument Repair
In era - Lizard, Aurora is good too
Snaa - Blue flame
Vtiger - HiNu
Motor nuclear - grunt units Wei yun white and the camo one.. the main ms were better but its spiky asf
Ventiene - Apocalypse
Solomon - Physalis
Hemoxian - Thor, Tastier is better and the upcoming lone shadow.. but i like thor its such a big ass kit
The list goes on actually since lots of 3rd party were popping off lately.. and its a plus for me since i like mg size kits and the fact that this kits were easy to get since i was living in asian country, they were also cheap if comparing price for like bandai kits, kotobukiya etc
Definitely should do the Monument Repair type (3rd party Tallgeese) sometime soon. Would love to see what you think about it.
Its been ages since the last time you review 3rd party kit
You definitely need to check out the thunderbolt, judgement, aurora, and lizard!!! They get so much better!!!
I cannot stand parts falling off and I refuse to use glue.
Is there any model kit that holds together in one piece that doesn't have parts dropping off?
* sees smart gun * yeah I mean that's pretty cool, it's not anything special tho...* sees dual pistols * I'll take your entire stock!
dont wait a second more and give us the 1/72 sky defender review, im dying for you to build it
As someone who bought third party transformers for most of the decade.....I am surprised this has only recently been in the spotlight
We want more reviews of third party kits !
I don’t know a single Gundam modeler that doesn’t use the “godhand spn-120”
Chinese kits are hit or miss since the overly spiky aesthetic is not for everyone, but the Motor Nuclear kits are definitely worth a look and are my favorite brand of Chinese MG-sized kits. For Gundam types, everyone has already mentioned the Solomon Physalis (basically a 3rd party MGEX GP02), and the Eternal Star Glory (we swear it's not the Stargazer, Bandai)
Mecha G. has entered the IN ERA+ rabbithole 😅 among the China-produced mecha model kits, they are the top tier!
Good but next you have to try the 3rd party figure based on Basara and Gundam IBO
DH-01 based on Masamune date and Gundam Vidar
DH-02 based on Yukimura Sanada and Gundam Bael
The design leans more on zz and exs specifically in the gun, torso, legs
The all plastic build funnily enough is much tighter than the deluxe version. I've seen some chinese reviewers use some kind of white liquid glue? Like what's used to tighten metal build figure joints.
If you want to help the genesis stay strong for long get to 2usd DSPIAE joint strengthener pen which works wonders
Ngl more and more good kit from Chinese is getting better and better
Especially motor nuclear kit they are so good everything fits perfectly
Want to see Mecha review the Aurora, I have it myself but not built it yet
would some metallic silver on the parts under the clear orange help make them pop ?
5:45 indid this with my sky defender kit, was even taking my time but still glossed over a few of the metal pieces. Its aight just says to add weight no structural integrity.
I love MG, My latest build was solomon physalis, its great kit
the head looks like that third party blade king !!!
You mush try SOLOMON GP02 kit look like MGEX grade but so heavy kit
Love your content keep up the amazing work
It is an excellent kit. I love it.
Sky defender is the best overall kit I’ve ever built quality, size design and fitment. And I am quite versed in Bandai, bootleg and third party
Hemoxian is an amazing brand for modelkits, i recently got the overzero tastier modelkit and its amazing , also the prices for those are great
