I was just assuming... How someone can narrate ... ☺ this kind of video's very interestingly This video is like Our grandmother saying stories when we ignore our meal.. Great Sir 👏 @kSN
Taiwan Strait has always kept a bridge watch keeper on pins and needles given the volume of fishing traffic in that region. The course alterations to avoid the fishing fleets and net markers can be huge. Masters even opt to have courses plotted so as to sail off the east coast of Taiwan given a lot more sea room, even if it resulted in a longer route. For a major part of the watch, the vessel would have to be on hand steering. It was a big relief to go off the bridge when the watch was handed over 😉. BTW, good move on your part to show the cloud cover as seen on radar and in reality ! The wide angle coverage made it look very impressive.
Each video is somehow even more interesting and engaging than the last one! We really feel what it's like to be onboard such a mega ship / work shadowing along with you through the myriad of your daily activities. Your infectious passion for sea life travel coupled with all the technical expertise knowhow of the digital screens/computers/buttons and areas of the ship - it's is a winning combination Karan! I am sure we only get to see a tiny fraction of how hard you work at such a highly responsible career. A big "thank you" for taking the time to make all the videos and keep them coming! I see "Award Winning" in your future young man 🙂
When i used to navigate during china visit fishing boats are total chaos not following rules of the road and the way you are making video and focusing on the navigation simultaneously hats off karan.
Went through the Taiwan Strait a couple times back in '66 and '67 on a WW2 shallow draft LST (Landing Ship,Tank), I fondly remember the many Chinese Junks out fishing, they were much more picturesque than the more modern fishing boats. The "small" old fashioned cargo ship with the booms were all there was back then. I remember going up the Saigon River and it being lined for miles with ships unloading their cargos onto smaller boats, the brown water, bright green foliage, multi colored ships and cargo, city skyline in the distance and a blue sky with white popcorn clouds and brilliant sunshine made for a scene I'll never forget. Once again I thoroughly enjoyed your video, best wishes.
Thanks K for another brilliant report. Never knew operations were that involved. Saw a vid taken inside from the bottom of an empty container section on Emmer Maersk. I was blown away by the size of your ships. Love your work, stay safe. 🇦🇺
Karan please show us how the cargo/containers are loaded/unloaded and stacked on the vessel. How is the load balancing done etc. Thanks for your time and effort in making these vlogs. Most enjoyable and educational.
Radar also used to catch cloud..I loved where u showed how much time it take to stop the vessel...and no more shore leave bcuz of covid issue...one more thing u were alone in the bridge..omg...hats off to u
Absolutely love how the video is so elaborate with maps and references for better understanding. It was so easy to understand for a person not from this background too. Very interesting and awesome work ❤️
Containers meant for longer travel are stored deeper on the vessel. If a container goes on a short voyage, it is put close to the top that you don’t need to shift all containers just to get one particular for such destination. So imagine you pack your stuff for holiday and you leave a bottle of water on the top so that you can easily access it at your earliest stop.
I LOVE watching your great videos and i enjoy them all and I am so Proud of You and Your Crew for doing such a wonder full job and I am trying to see and watch all Your videos You make and Yes I love them all and they are so interesting - I take my hat off to You and Your great crew - Take Best of Care at Sea - John - B.C. Karanvir you are a top man !!! This was excellent and I’m really amazed how long it takes to stop the ship and how sailing boats can be a hassle for you. The radar explanation was good, must admit some of it I did not understand. All in all really cool 👍🏼
you have a huge responsibility in those areas. you already have a huge responsibility but in the taiwan place you have even more responsibility. Do you call the captain if you have any doubt on the navigation in that area? awesome video like always 😊
Karan Bhaiya its really nice video and very helpful thankyou to sharing your information with us and keep it up god bless you Bhaiya And stay safe👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️💯💯💯💯🙌
Man great instructional video Karanvir with the radar screen and then you showing the actual outside view . Your quality of the videos are improving all the time. Really enjoyed it. By the way , how's Lilly doing? ✌️🇨🇦
Hello from Ohio USA!! That was a cool video. What surprised me was not seeing many crew on the bridge but really you. How many crew does the ship have?
Fabulous! Looking forward more of this kind of real time videos with nature. Enjoy your time in Shanghai . Do the authorities allow you to step out of the ship due to Covid restrictions ?
Sir very nice video and the way you showed us the radar and ecdis was very informational... Can you please make more videos about the bridge equipments? :)
Lovely Bridge. I’d love to be able to stand there, even in a big sea. A great deal of responsibility on your shoulders after just five years at sea! Your vid gives a good impression of the scale of this vessel particularly its enormous mass. Many thanks
@@KaranvirSinghNayyar I remember my wonderful Physics teacher helping us to develop our understanding that Mass x Velocity = Momentum and my goodness your vid is a powerful reminder of that in terms of how long it takes your ship to slow down with the engine’s stationary!
Awesome video Karan Bhai... Really got some new information about the manoeuvring of the ship... Looking forward for the next video that's the engine room... I'm all geared up for that... Anyways take care and stage safe...

How are the containers arranged in the order they need to be picked up when at port as the ship travels the world?
Will cover in a video
Good question, I was wondering the same thing..
