    How to map the angle generated by the code for delta robot inverse kinematics, because sometimes it is negative and servo motor rotate 0 to 180 degree. What to do?

    I dig the Nspire CAS hanging at your workbench. I have a 10+ year old TI89 that's never given me a bit of trouble through engineering school and into my career. But given how much I still use it every day I was considering upgrading to one of those. Your thoughts?

    • @ProtoG42
      @ProtoG42  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's an amazing calculator but pretty advanced for most calculations. I think I still prefer my Casio FX-CG10: amzn.to/2BlvFWS The large buttons are great and it does everything my older TI graphing calculators did with a much nicer screen.

    • @merrimanindustries
      @merrimanindustries 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh nice! Looks promising, I'll check it out. Having a PC with Matlab, Python, and Excel makes a lot of the more advanced calculator features seem redundant. But there are still a few things I like the TI89 for.

      I have three different suction grippers that I'm going to experiment with. Right now, my main goal is to just sort different colored glass marbles and colored chips and then move on to things like picking up different sized coin cell batteries off a conveyor belt and placing them in their packaging.

    Where did you source the information on the torque losses in relation to microstepping resolution?

    • @crackwitz
      @crackwitz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      it's a common misconception that's even propagated by vendors. they talk about "incremental" torque, which is irrelevant really. if what they say were true, at 1/256 microstepping you would be able to stall a motor with your bare fingers, which is obviously not true. microstepping does NOT decrease torque.

    Does a delta robot need to have 120⁰ between each arm? (Looking from the top down) Could you for example have 90⁰ between the arms like a 4 armed robot with one arm missing?
