Third base umpire's like ayyy I had nothing to do with that call
Not that call specifically but Brett Gardner the batter before had a check swing that should have been strike three but instead it was ball four, Alex's swing was not a strike, they got that call right.
And last year, that 3B umpire ejected Lloyd 2 times last year (same series)
+Papa Bear he got his moneys worth with all the umpires that he was mad at lolol
I can just picture McClendon saying "And *YOU*" when going over the the third base umpire lol
Lmao!!! ROFL!!! I cant!!!!
"And, YOU! Eat your vegetables!"
Aaaaand another thing!
“LEMME TELL YOU SUM”
Does he still have 1st base?
Probably not. It was most likely returned by the grounds crew.
+Joniden HAAAA LOL. i remember that lol.
that bag needs to go in the hall of fame
+Joniden The next question is, does that first base bag still have the Pittsburgh Pirates hat on it??
+Bad News Nate I would assume so. Much like the rules about putting a flag in the ground to claim territory, in baseball anything you put your hat on becomes yours!
"Everybody's getting a piece" XD
Life long pirates fan and he’s in our history of ejections. Haha. He made getting ejected an art form.
Anyone else on a McClendon ejection video spree?
+Cash Yohnny Im right in the middle on one
Mee
Lol me
THERE IS A LOT!!! lolol
Yup, mostly because I can't find Pinella ejections.
01:01 "EVERYBODY'S GETTIN' A PIECE!" Great call!
This is one of the greatest ejections ever, NOBODY WAS SAFE LMAOOOOOO
Remember Lloyd McClendon taking first base with him after being ejected when he managed the Pirates?
He always takes his hat off and kicks it when he gets ejected lol
ge009 The guy that tossed him in that game was the third base ump in this game.
i do.a classic moment
He became the first ever person to steal first base
Yes legend lol
I come back in watch this all the time. Love the crowd feeding off of it. One of the better manager ejections in recent years
Yankee fan, but manager of year after this
Monisrocks1995
Lol as an M's fan his decision-making has driven me insane this year but love the guy himself.
Monisrocks1995 stop
Monisrocks1995 Raysup.
Lmao he just got fired
+Jenna B hope Jerry Dipoto did not make a huge mistake
Just makes you realize how amazing fans in the crowds are.
Don Mattingly, take some fucking notes!
kromezer28 AMEN!
Joniden Well Done Lloyd McClendon!!! Get your money's worth and then some!!!
Donny Ballgame does just fine on his own.
What happened? I thought Dumby was doing good?
I love this guy. What a legend.
This NEVER gets old. Lloyd just telling the whole crew they weren't worth a ....!!!!😂🤣
Greg Gibson would have made the right call.
he would've motioned to both players
Lmao
But the dodgers aren't celebrating in their dugout.
McClendon was one of my favorite players, he could play any position on the field including pitcher and catcher he is one hell of a baseball man.
McClendon to 3B umpire: "And as for you! I don't know you, but I'm sure you're a jerk!"
3B Umpire: "Hey I've only been here a few minutes. What's going on?"
I was at this game. Top-three Mariners moment for me. And the most engaged crowd I've ever experienced at Safeco. A+, Lloyd. I still miss you.
I Was There Too & I Was Crying When Mike Zunino Got Ejected
Lmao goes to show how little memories as an organization you have. Lol disgraceful comment.
At the end of the day, baseball is entertainment. This was insanely entertaining.
And the manager of the year award goes to, LLOYD MCCLENDON
wish I could hear what he was saying to the umpires.
no you don't lol
+Jahhshhdhdhdj If you enjoy hearing way too many expletives then go for wanting to hear mangers go off
+Boina Verde He's asking them politely if they have any Grey Poupon
oh god i love it!! that's awesome, he gave it to all the umpires. nobody was safe.
A rod was.
Greg Gibson, the home plate umpire was
Only because the Dodgers weren't celebrating in their dugout.
Roid*
On a entertainment per second level, McClendon has by far one of the more entertaining ejection reels
GOD I MISS THIS BASEBALL! 😭😭
This is so amazing and uploaded by the official channel of MLB
Yankees fan here. I only wish Girardi got this pissed every time a important call doesn't go right. McLendon is awesome.
+Samuel Marinov Umpires were correct in judging no swing. McClendon is a horse's ass.
In your one statement has so much wrong... Samuel is right he went, A-Roid got favored and it’s against the team that drafted him??? That’s just pathetic...
"everybody's gettin a piece!" lmfao
I'm a Yankee fan, but he went on that. There's no way he didn't.
+mrRC21100 I totally disagree. He did not offer at the pitch.
+mrRC21100 they didnt even show a replay with that angle
He went at a 45* angle, not enough to meet the 90* angle that is usually called.
Nah he went past 60 degree angle easily... he expected to get that call because he sprinted toward first base.
Me on mondays at work 🤦🏽♀️
This has to be one of the funniest MLB moments so far for the 2015 season. XD
Zach Lawless stop
Quiet, fuckerdoodle. I'm neutral when it comes to baseball, but my opinions are mine only.
Zach Lawless stop
Quiet, fuckerdoodle. I'm neutral when it comes to baseball, but my opinions are mine only.
Zach Lawless stop
I wish he had a mic on
Wish Detroit kept him, it's awesome when he's mad
I don't think anything will top what he did in Pittsburgh!
I don't know if anyone ever got their piece like Lou Pinella used to. He would be so pissed during arguments that I thought he was going to hit the ump.
Lloyd McClendo vs Gordon Ramsay
ClearSky Productions that would be awesome
What if McClendon was a chef.
I love this and I remember watching it live
HELL YES!!!! \m/
And that's coming from a Rangers fan.
mcclendon's animations always remind me of a cartoon character. no idea why. just hilarious stuff
I never really liked the Mariners but I love this guy. I remember when he stole 1st base in 2001 when he was managing the pirates.
one of my favorites
So amazing showmanship
YOU FORGOT FIRST BASE SIR!
No he didn’t
The umpires for the Yankees/Mariners game at Safeco Field in Seattle, Washington are (#16/Mike DiMuro), (#93/Will Little), (#12/Gerry Davis), and (#11/Tony Randazzo).
I love how managers yelling at umpires is a time-honored tradition in baseball. It's literally never accomplished anything....the umps are not over turning a call cuz they got yelled at. But everyone does it anyway. It's shit like this that makes baseball one of the best sports in the world.
THIS IS LEGENDARY👏👏👏👏
I love this guy!
Props to the cameraman fade out to McClendon jogging to the 3rd base ump
EVERYBODY'S GETTIN A PIECE
He took notes after watching Leyland in Detroit lol
Absolutely Love It!!!
Umpires should be the ones that get ejected not players and managers.
Yeah, brilliant comment
McClendon was right. I was at this game. The umps missed a check swing the pitch before this and during the at-bat before this that cost them a baserunner on 2nd, which ended up costing them a run and the game.
This is passionate Baseball
McClendon was a great skipper
Loved Lloyd with the Tigers, love him now
I honestly believe that he would’ve gotten the Mariners over the World Series hump. They were starting to develop his personality, that fire. Been nothing but a bunch of yes men as managers since they fired him.
He was a good manager, who I really enjoyed. I felt he got a raw deal with the M's, same for Eric Wedge.
the umpires totally ruined this game for the Mariners.
Yeah, blame it on the umpires because your team sucks.
Alan Hess two missed calls don't help
Alan Hess LMAO go Yankees
As a Yankee fan, I enjoyed this video. McClendon was also the same guy who stole first base after getting ejected when he was managing the Pirates
There's a Lloyd McClendon ejection compilation. Lol
I Was At That Game When Mike Zunino & Lloyd McClendon Both Got Ejected & It Was The Kyle Seager Bobblehead Night
most excitement in the MLB in years
This is awesome!
He had every right to be mad, that was a strike all the way. And the umpire didn't hesitate to eject him. Disgusting umpiring.
2nd time arguing a call basically will lead to an ejection
It's automatic now, it's something the umpires got back after giving into instant replay rule.
Yet you can’t replay balls/strikes for a fair game? That’s why this game is inferior to the NBA/NFL, those refs do their best to make the right call and having evidence to support it.
Does anyone else hate umpires as much as I do?
This was legendary 😎😎
What a manager
"And let me tell you something" Lloyd McClendon running to third base
McClendon loves being ejected
The ejection in Pittsburgh where he took first base with him is the standard against which all of Lloyd's ejections are compared. This one doesn't quite get there, but IMO gets second place.
Lloyd McClendon must be so sassy
When i Saw the Thumbnail I thought he was Flipping off the Umpire
I was there it was amazing xD
McCLendon has always been great during ejections lol
Great!
If this went one step further, it would be better than the time he took first base in 2001.
Throw back to the time when McClendon took first base after getting ejected
Man I wish I could act like a little kid and still get a standing ovation
Yeah
Yankee fan here but that was hilarious
He is one of the best mag. ever
isnt montgomery that pitcher who made the final out of the 2016 world series
Yes
Second base umpire: "I'm just gonna sit here and act like he doesn't see me..."
Greg Gibson the home plate umpire
Did anyone else see the thumbnail, and think he was flipping the umpire off?
I miss lloyd back in detroit :(
what does it mean when they say "gettin his money's worth"? I've heard this a few times and I don't know what it references
If you get ejected, you might as well speak your mind and get all your aggression out, because you’re already out of the game. Some ejections come with monetary fines by the league, so if you’re going to pay money for your behavior, you might as well get your money’s worth.
McClendon looks like the black Stone Cold Steve Austin in the thumbnail lol
Why dont they show the replay of the play to see if his outburst is justified?
Thts actually a strike he passed the home plate
That's not the rule...
No the rule is his wrists change position, and they do. It's sutble, but if you look it's there. Not surprised the umps missed it in the heat of the moment but McClendon is absolutely right here, and so is the catcher.
hagamapama, No. There is no rule that discusses the wrists changing positions. The umpires simply judge as to whether or not the batter offered at the pitch. Stop making stuff up. Mclendon is wrong and acts like a complete idiot.
Uh yeah that’s a strike and who are you to tell people they are idiots based on an viewpoint? A-Rod and Seattle look up that history & yes A-Rod went on that pitch strike 3, as usual no replay to review & they missed a bad call.
Eat your heart out, Lou Piniella. One the most classic rants you will ever see. Classic..
I was at this game last year.... The refs screwed tf out of us that game
Umps*
+Dr. TurkeyBaster I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO SAYS THAT???!!?!?!
Adam Birgenheier same
Lmfao. Idc if the call was right or wrong. His reaction was the best. And I'm a Yankees fan. Even though I'm not fan of Alex.
Mike zunino kicked out of the game
I love baseball 😂⚾
Same umpire who ejected a Toronto pitcher + catcher Russell Martin in a matter of seconds... sensing a trend here? That’s unfortunate that certain umpires get near Scott free off because of the amount of power they have.
He should've taken a base
Very funny 😁, pure fun
A-Rod went.
'Nuff said
1:08
Not sure but for a split second I think he was afraid of that umpire.....and he had both hands behind his back!!!!!!!
Bruh he cussed "ERRBODY" out 😂😂😂😂
