I had one in 1959 and bored it out and installed 10to 1 high dome pistons, polished the ports and installed Bsa valves with jumbo valve springs and valves and had the cam ground by Webco. This solved the valves floating at 110 mph then I painted it with Dupont Bloody Crome. Motorcycle racer Jody Nichols Drag raced it turned 150 in a quarter of a mile.I a m 80 now and a Veteran I would appreciate if you would give it back.
I'm in central California. Back in the late 50's I rode with a group....mostly Harleys, which, at the time is what I rode, but one guy in our group rode an Ariel square four..... first time I had ever seen a four cylinder motorcycle....and I became fascinated with four cylinder motorcycles. I personally have ridden a Honda ST 1100 (3) since I bought my first switching
Ed Turner would spin in his grave to see all his bikes locked up and not out running on the road where they belong. The owner of these machines should have asked 100 riders to come and take a bike each for a ride; now that would have been a sight to behold!
My dad had Square, aerial four he said he put a big post office side car on it and it still went fast that must’ve been back in the 1950’s in the uk 🇬🇧 😊
When you first popped up I was not expecting that accent. 🙌🏻 Awesome. Those are some beautiful old bikes.....and cars too! I keep watching and it keeps going. A bonus shed!! Cool. I think my fave was green the Ariel with the sidecar. Great video man. Thank you for the follow too👍🏻😎
Thankyou for the kind words. I've been a sub of motorcycle momma for some time. When I watched your live stream (momma mafia) I loved it and just had to sub you. Keep up the good vlogs and ride safe.
ive got a 1948 sq 4. restore but not all shinny - all original. taken apart in early 70s and recently rebuilt - no expense spared. If any one wants to see pics hap[y to
I have a few classic motorcycles I have my late father's areial square four 1956 my triumph Bonneville 1976 a honda 400 four and my newest bike a BMW RR
It is now 25 y/o vehicles here in South Oz. And yes they are classic, modern classic maybe but classic. All states now have vaguely similar legislation with conditional registration which is quite cheap. Encourages ownership and restoration. I have had my 1971 car since 2000.
Struth , no wonder Ariel SQ4s are rare , this blokes got em all

Barossa Valley South Australia, sadly the owner has passed on . I'm not sure what happened to the collection as his place is up for sale.

Definitely agree with that, would love to take one just a few miles around the block. RSMF thanks for watching

No wonder I can't find an Ariel sq 4 in Oz.
✌️☮️🌴
30 year old motorbikes arent classic. They're just old bikes.
