Big Jay McNeely was an American rhythm & blues saxophonist from the 40's-60's. His flamboyant sax playing was called "honking". The vocals on this 1959 song are by Little Sonny Warner an American blues singer.
Actually Bobby Marchan also did this song in 1960. Jay McNeely did it in 1955. Bobby Marchan also sang lead for some songs by Huey "Piano" Smith. We Like Birdland, Don't You Just Know It and Rockin' Pneumonia and the Boogie Woogie Flu. They both did this song good. Please check this out also Thnx.
My dad and i love you both, you make us smile. Great music reactions, keep up the great work. Please react to Patches by Dicky Lee, my dad and i love that song. We always look forward to your reactions.
I would love to hear Shot gun by Junior Walker and the Allstars number 1 hit in 1965! Their other top ten is What does it take to win your love. Big rabbit hole

Lol, he started to sing and the lyrics came back, at 74yrs , isn't one of the early signs of dementia one remembers 🤣 shit for years ago , but can't 2 hrs ago( just kidding)
His voice...... Love the way he nearly breaks it....,... If you can find it there's an amazing version with buddy guy, Ec, Jonny Johnson, Robert Cray, J Oldacher. (not sure on spelling sorry)and sorry can't remember the rest but it captures the feel of the song......
I have been following you guys for over a year and love your reactions. I have yet to request a song for you to react to because the choices you have been making have been outstanding (in my opinion). But I have to request you react to another version of this song by Samantha Fish link: th-cam.com/video/_BSCS_hl0iA/w-d-xo.html&feature=share. If you love the blues, and I know you do, you will lose your minds over this.
I'm happy to see the young people are reacting to great music from the day . I'm 79 and lived all this great music
