- Want soft, bouncy heatless curls? Use sponge rollers! This is a dry sponge roller set on stretched natural hair. If you have fine natural hair and love big, voluminous curls then keep watching.
I used X-Jumbo satin-lined sponge rollers that I found at my local beauty supply store, but get the size rollers you feel will work best on your hair.

About my hair...
I like to share natural hairstyles to consider if you work in a corporate environment like me. Whether you choose sponge rollers, flexi rods or perm rods you can achieve the bouncy voluminous curls you desire. Heatless curls are a the best choice when trying to minimize heat.
I have fine, chemical-free hair. Chemical free means no relaxer...no color...no nothing. :) I mainly wear my fine, natural hair in TWIST OUT styles. For me, twist outs are a protective style that have allowed me to retain length while enjoying wearing my hair 'out.'
I also love for my fine natural hair to have lots of bounce, curls and volume!

I use silk pillowcase rollers on my hair nightly. I don’t have to put any heat on my hair until I wash and do my hair again. Your hair is gorgeous!

But those were the only satin lined rollers they had. Where do you purchase yours from, and do you have any issues with the pieces popping off?

Just beautiful! I think that satin and sponge rollers are so underated. They are my absolute go to when I give my styling tools a break. They are great for getting that big volume that we all like and the curls last for days. Your hair is simply georgeous and so healthy.

@@NaturallyCorporate I truly mean it. I have used the satin rollers but my curls always turn out too tight. Should I use less rollers? My hair is fine too but just a little shorter than yours.
I use sponge rollers, and my fingers I have natural fine hair. Just got my hair back to growing after I lost my mom in 2014 my hair came out bad 😔💔 I cut it off into a real short style for my 40th birthday in 2020 and now it’s pass my shoulders.

I love it!! The rollers gave it just the right amount of volume and curls at the end. It looks really soft on screen. I can imagine how soft it is in person.
I remember using those pink sponge rollers at the tender age of 16 🤣 Sometimes, a few hair strands would get stuck😫😂
Every time I see your hair I think of the growth from when I first started watching your channel. It’s similar to my hair color and seeing yours makes me miss mine . Over the last 20 yrs of cutting my hair, I never ever regretted the cut until this last big chop. I realized that I didn’t have to go as short as I did. But, the good thing is, is that it grows fast and I have so many different hairstyles I can play around with!

Your curls are GORGEOUS! Do you deal with frizz? If so, how do you combat it and still keep your curls soft and voluminous?
Hi Chandra! (I have a dear friend w/ the same name). I do get a little frizz and my favorite product to use is the OGX dry oil mists. They’re perfect. Even using a small amount of regular oil works, too. Just enough to smooth the frizz out.

Hi! I shampoo about once a week, but I only blow dry if I’m doing a style like sponge rollers. When I’m wearing my hair straight, which is usually a stretch of months at a time, I flat iron about every 2 weeks.

What product did you use to flat iron that helped your hair last in the rain/humidity?
Hi Joy! I went back to try and determine what specifically I flat ironed with. I'm sorry - - I must not have recorded that flat iron so I can't tell. BUT, products I might've used are from Uncle Funky's Daughter. They have a Maximum Protection Thermal Collection which I really like for my flat iron styles. It has a smoothing serum in it that really minimizes frizz. I hope this helps, and I apologize for the delayed reply. :)

Hi! I don’t remember if I showed the package, but I used black jumbo sponge rollers. I prefer the ones that have a satin lining.
