Rajdoot had only 3 gears, the first bike I learnt to ride was the rajdoot 173cc, learning on the empty marine lines road in Mumbai , after finishing work at the Taj at 1 am, then ind- Suzuki, 125cc, finally 3 of my own 350 cc Royal Enfield, watching this video brought back memories of 1985.
My father had a legendary Rajdoot 175.. After 30 years(1985-2015) of service we had to dump it due to its condition. 😔 I learned riding on Rajdoot. Hope one day like Jawa Rajdoot will be back Indian market.

They were scooters manufactured by Rajdoot for a very short span with the same 175cc engine and the Bobby borrowed quite a few parts from them. Thanx For the Reply✌

Ha ha! That sneak peak was classic. My cousin used to have one and take me on rides when I was a kid. Actually it was pretty fast because two stroke and 175cc.

There is a family member missing here its a rajdoot scooter built on the same engine we owned one from 1977 till 1984 when it was difficult to get spares in remote areas i still have picture of my late dad first day on it with a studds helmet

I liked that little Bobby bike . I think someone should start making them again and sell them in Europe also. If they are a reasonable price they would sell like hot cakes .... I would but one ! 👍
Good one brother. I remember seeing a beaten down "Bobby" at my cousin's place in the early 90s when I used to visit them in Gulbarga. And it was such a riot to see Rishi Kapoor being such a squid ;)

+Motosoul - Riding Old Motorcycles Rajdoot runabout was a scooter like Innocenti Lambretta. Enfield also had a similiar scooter called Fantabulus. It had a self start and There were three food pedals.First was for engaging first gear,second was for enaging 2nd and 3rd gear and the third pedal was the brake which was placed in a very unconventional place. They were flops models..Not many are around.Also literature about these scooters is limited. Google it.
