I shoot mostly cast lead loads in my Mosin rifles. All the .312" Lee GC designs shoot excellent, I also have a few NOE 155 gr. range molds that work great as well. My favorite is the Accurate .314" 215gr. gas check FP average MV on the Garmin chrono in the M91/30 for a five shot set using H4895 is 1968.4 fps. average energy at the muzzle is 1902 ft-lb. with a standard DV of 25 fps. All my cast bullets are cast from 50/50 COWW/ PB, powder coated, quenched after removed for the toaster and sized to .314" and allow to set for at least two weeks to age harden before loading. I use the RCBS 54r two die set with the .311" expander installed and a NOE .316" x .312" neck expanding die.

Im feeding my Mosin cast bullets lately, some .308 130gr that i powder coat on the heavy side to get nominally .311-.312 diameter and 200gr .312 cast with gas checks. Using my homemade benzoate fuel based BP substitute and getting 1600-1700 fps with the 200gr and 2000-2100 fps with the 130gr. Best part is I'm using reloaded primers too, both Berdan and Boxer for the Prvi Partisan brass. FA-70 is great recipe that reloaders should look into, but SINOXID is my favorite. These rounds cost about 13-15 cents each to load. Loving it

if u have a drill and tap set u can use it to make the modified cases. the hprnady stuck case remover has the correct tap, i believe, better to check tho

dang. missed it. rimmed carts like the mosin have a tough time being ressized and stretched to where if u go to saami min youll only get a few firings.
i recommend size and xhamber in incremental amounts until the bolt freely closes on a mosin.
or neck sizing (that i dont do)

if you spray it with laquer itll look better. and they sell a 10 spring and flat washer to make the trigger better. you could make it yourself. the washer reduces sear contact and the spring takes out the floppy ness (return spring)
maybe ill make a codeo to show u where to put the washer

It might have been that long by now, I just got around to chopping this section out of the last loading stream. I did one on here more recently, but that was just building a small fire and rucking around the back yard for 3 hours. Thanks and have a great week!

Try rubbing in Danish oil on the stock before you paint it or boiled linseed oil
