I found it easier to put the second piece on yourself if you plant it at one side of your wrist and then wrap it around, rather than starting in the middle. But this technique has really helped me, thank you!

Thank you! Good tip! That way you'd be able to get that stretch in the middle piece, too...makes so much sense! (:

@@ForwardTherapy Apparently I suck at taping. Although I cleaned the area first with alcohol before applying tape, the tape around my wrist did not survive my workout. I will take some rest days knowing now this is not a simple fix. Thank you!

Might be the tape you’re using, too! Some have better adhesives than others

I used a thick paper or index card, folded it in half and kept it on the ulnar side of my wrist, wrapped my wrist in ace bandage....it’s an economical homemade wrist support for my TFCC and FCU strain.

Would you possibly do a specific taping for a rare condition affecting wrists and legs, I need to tape round my ulna and stabilise my radius and knuckles but I can't without pain

Possibly! Without being able to see you via the internet, it’s hard to say. It probably would help for you to see a rehabilitation professional in person or on video to go over your specific case and what would be appropriate for you

I feel like I have weak wrists and I'm a housekeeper, will this help?

Tape itself doesn’t make you stronger, but it may feel more supportive or give you a better sense of where the wrist joints are positioned in space!

    • @ForwardTherapy

tape can be used for up to 3-4 days at a time (if it will last that long). if it feels bad, take it off. reapply whenever needed.

sorry to hear you have had an injury! in the acute phase it's all about rest, ice, use a splint, and avoid aggravating activities. talk to a doctor about getting a hand therapy prescription!
