  • Here's the Sylphy [Striker] collaboration Frame Arms Girl and Desktop Army. I wasn't expecting this little kit to be as fun as it is, but I was pleasantly surprised!

Honestly, I really love the look of this kit, but I wish it was a little bit taller. Maybe the same size as an MMS 3rd small type body.

What I love about the runners is that they're kinda arranged into a definite shape, unlike Bandai creates very weird shapes that just get stuck on other runners

Wait... that looks alot like MMS Type Cat Mao Chao (also created by Blade but for Konami's old Bousou Shinki)
Which means.... remake of Blade's MMS Type Dog Howling also in the pipeline (which was my first Shinki pick up)

These should co-exist alongside the Hoihoi-sans. A Desktop Army of bug-killing chibis? Count me in.

    Awwww how cute :3
Hope we get a lot more of the Sylphy line in the Koto line. I heard that they're a lot of versions of them in Desktop Army

It would be nice to see the other Sylphy variants, but these have been out for a while now so the odds aren't the greatest. But you never know. Macross missile pod hair ornaments...
The heel portion of the foot, though a permanent fixture for this version, is actually an optional part for the regular DTA's. I think they are meant to have a more pointy toe or hoof style foot.

I have the other one, btw with the hip pegs they can actually pull down from the body to increase the range of motion

The is a back stories to desktop army. There are 3 faction, 2 faction are fighting each other while the faction that desktop army Gourai is the weapon dealer faction which sell wewpon for both faction.

The DTA girls are pretty cool, even if they're bigger than real DTA figures.

After building 3 of them, I can vouch for having similar problems with the yellow leg accents. They're small enough that they're difficult to manipulate and was always concerned about them falling off. My assumption was that the problem is related to (step 31) the leg assembly.
Also, thank you for pointing out Vlockers Fiore Iris! Strongly recommend gluing the thigh armor together when you get to the kit. The ponytail hinges are also rather soft, and even though there are spares, would really appreciate any suggestions on replacements/methods to strengthen them.

I already broke a ponytail joint and it was a pain to get out of the hole. If you do not care too much about articulation, I would recommend a 2mm brass rod and just keep the hair in a fixed position. There also aftermarket ball joint packs that look like they would work but I have never used them so cannot vouch for their durability.

Just built Iris a couple days ago and yeah, what’s with those thigh parts crumbling! Lol. Gonna review it soon

I'm beginning to question why felines and women are associated with each other.
If it has anything to do with behaviour, I want a refund for all the insults I have recieved that dubbed me sexist. Not even I would compare women to felines.

Because catgirls are cute? What other reason do you need?
The only other possible explanation is because the nekomata is typically portrayed as a female yokai

I'll take that second suggestion as plausible.

Way overpriced for what this really is. Won’t be buying this one.

Just something to consider is you're probably comparing it to Bandai pricing, which is the exception to the average, not a good baseline. If you look around with other plastic model companies, Kotobukiya stuff isn't even the priciest. Bandai just happens to be the biggest plamo company and has the infrastructure to mas produce to the point of keeping their stuff a lot cheaper than other companies.

Ramon Delgado I have kotobukiya frame arms girls kits as well and in my opinion for what you’re getting in this particular kit, the investment doesn’t add up compared to standard frame arms kits. I do purchase plenty of Bandai as well but am aware of the cost differences and I don’t cost compare between the two companies.

叶川ヒロ understandable but not worth the spend for myself.
