I remember you saying you would "Get a Dive Coaster if you owned an amusement park." How about the top 10 rides/coasters you would want if you opened your own park, either from a personal or business standpoint?
I’ve found that the best first guess for these is Mako. It tells you if it’s over 200 feet or not, if it’s a B&M or not, if it’s a sitdown or not, if it has inversions, and if it’s in the states.
I think the ideal first guess is the most average or median coaster because it eliminates half of the possibilities in each category (divide and conquer algorithm). USA and B&M are good guesses since those are very numerous. However, Mako is towards the high end of height, length, and speed, which means likely it won’t eliminate a lot on those criteria. I’m thinking Georgia Scorcher might be close to the median on most criteria though being a standup is an outlier.
Honestly think Cheetah Hunt could be a fairly good first guess too. Doesn't quite do as well for narrowing height, but for inversions it does allow you to check both 0 and 1.
I tried this after everyone mentioned it the last time, and found it doable enough that I figured you'd just blow through it in three or four guesses almost every time. With these Wordle-type games it's good to figure out a strategic opening guess. I generally go with a Batclone--they might not be actual possible answers because they're all identical, which would make them difficult to pinpoint, but they're a good "median" coaster in most of their various stats, which divides up the search space nicely.
The game uses slightly idiosyncratic categories for "seating" and figuring out how that works is key. "Sit-down" and "floorless" are also distinct but I don't know whether it has the floorless distinction right for, say, all the B&M dives, which vary in this regard.
...I think that, as with original Wordle, the collection of possible answers is actually a lot more limited than the whole database it knows about (to keep the game from being infernally hard), so you see a lot of repeats.
I really dont think i can do live videos. I always get pulled in different directions with the kids so the only time i can really commit to it is like 11pm or later
I've always wondered who made coastle! A friend linked it to me and I shared it with a few other friends but I had no idea who else played it too! You should definitely cover coastermaynia sometime, although its an art thing its still related to rollercoasters and I think its very cool
he has a youtube, www.youtube.com/@pkyu/featured?app=desktop if you wanna check it out. does a bunch of custom roblox coasters, one of my best friends, send him money
Where do they get their info from? I was completely stuck with a coaster that had 6 inversions...the answer was X2...are they counting the seat rotations as inversions?? Never seen it done that way
I did toggle on the harder mode and I didn't notice much of a difference, but I will give it another try to see if it will make for a good video. I only did one on the hard mode
@@AirtimeThrills YAY!!!!!!! ALSO, figured I'd let ya know -- I'm local to Madison, WI, rode Zippin Pippin for the first time on Sunday. The floater was great, ejector death hill wasn't quite what I'd hoped, but still very good. I appreciate your videos!
There's a similar game I play based on matching starting 5s from 6 different NBA teams within 20 moves. It's called Larry Birdle 2. It's crazy addictive. You should check it out, I'm pretty sure there's a baseball option
I'm super curious on where it this quiz gets its stats from, because I was stumped when I couldn't find a USA-B&M-Floorless with less than 4 inversions, that was TALLER than Superman Krypton Coaster. But of course my window crashed before I could find out what it was. :(
The hints give you the first letter of the coaster and the first letter of the park name but I would only use them on the last try if you can't make heads or tails of it...I wouldnt call it cheating
Not me yelling at the screen that #6 was "not sit down" for seating while Mr. Thrills proceeded to list every single sit down Mach Rides had ever produced
@@AirtimeThrills on your by the numbers video you said its 135 feet tall though 🤔 I was stumped when it was a wing coaster and taller than magnum on that game
From my experience, the best starting coaster for me has been Iron Rattler. 180 feet, meaning if it’s any taller it’s almost certainly a hyper, RMC is a common manufacturer to get, sit down trains, 1 inversion so you know right away if the ride has inversions, it’s really helpful. There might be a few better ones (I thought about Apollo’s Chariot and El Toro too since those have similar stats and B&M and Intamin are slightly more common, but starting with 1 inversion is better than starting with 0)
Since Ejector Airtime released a video about their top 10 best and worst coaster name changes, I wonder what your top 10 best and worst coaster name changes are.
Just played today (may 24th) and I knew the answer by the 3rd guess, but the actual coaster isn't in the drop down list, no matter how you type it out.
I cannot wait for Airtime Thrills to visit coasters outside of America. Poland, Spain, Belgium and the Nordics should be a good start.
I would go to germany first
Planes do have the ultimate airtime 😅
Wait I thought he was only doing the Nordics this year
Don’t forget the UK

I’ve been doing this, and I just had it come up as Mako. First guess win.

@@MythyvalYeah you want the most average coaster possible (whatever that may be).
For the second Ride to Happiness, it said it was NOT sit-down, which was a huge clue and narrowed it down to [1] coaster.
Yeah

Thats true, I'm sure the right strategy is out there. Just need to find it. Finding a median coaster is a good start
@@AirtimeThrills I usually "cheated" with the hints too...
He killed me yet a guilty pleasure when he said Xcelerator like that 6:42
11:00 Chris straight up ignored the „sit down“ category for the whole round😂
You sit down on ride to happiness tho so come on now
The game uses slightly idiosyncratic categories for "seating" and figuring out how that works is key. "Sit-down" and "floorless" are also distinct but I don't know whether it has the floorless distinction right for, say, all the B&M dives, which vary in this regard.

This is one of the only games that's not blocked in my school so I like to play it in ICT and it's so good to pass the time.
Great video! You did a great job! I enjoyed watching! The ones from outside the US make it a lot harder.
I love that someone made this game and I love that you’re sharing it with us!
I am already addicted to Coastle
I liked this video! This wordle is a great test for your knowledge! It's also good for other coaster enthusiasts in this community!
This is cool! Keep up the good work!
I found this after someone mentioned it in the comments and when your videos end yeah I’ve been addicted too
Video Idea: All water rides ranked like rapids, log flumes, and the new aquaman at six flags
Love these videos! The best I’ve ever done was a 2 somehow but it really is all luck 😅

This was a really fun watch, and a great concept for a wordle style game
You gotta look at the seating. If it’s not sit down it’s inverted or spinning. With Mack you gotta think spinning.
Where do they get their info from? I was completely stuck with a coaster that had 6 inversions...the answer was X2...are they counting the seat rotations as inversions?? Never seen it done that way
You should also try the harder endless mode, mostly not as well known foreign rides

DAMN Home Run Productions, you killed it!
Probably the first time anyone's called me that on this channel lol

6 was so obvious as soon as it was a mack and not a sit down

Today’s was a toughie for me
You did the exact same 3 guesses that I did for the Hyperspace Mountain one 😲

is airtime thrills the person who wrote the book about amusement park tips?
I’ve been doing this for like a month now and it’s so fun
Now that i know this is a thing i must do this every day. Got it with no hints on guess 4.
The hints give you the first letter of the coaster and the first letter of the park name but I would only use them on the last try if you can't make heads or tails of it...I wouldnt call it cheating
Yeah i noticed that when i was playing on hard mode today. Pretty big hints
Not me yelling at the screen that #6 was "not sit down" for seating while Mr. Thrills proceeded to list every single sit down Mach Rides had ever produced
Yeah yeah I'm wearing that one. I was so focused on finding out where it was I wasn't thinking about what kind of coaster it was
I at least got Blue Fire and Poltergeist. Slightly smug.
Try jetpunk quizzes there are a lot of coaster ones, you can do this one where their are 100 coasters and you have to Geuss them by the detail
Everytime I can’t figure out what it is, I just throw in Ride to Happiness and I swear it’s right 50% of the time
Seems like it
I’ve been enjoying this game recently. It’s super fun
You should do a rollercoaster/theme park round of Geoguessr
That's a great idea, I have messed with that before when it was suggested but haven't done it on camera yet
that would be very cool
Pretty cool game. I also got 7/10. The worst was not getting WWGL at SFFT when I guessed Twisted Colossus to start.
I just tried this. My question for you, at what point is wild eagle taller than magnum?
I'm guessing somewhere up that giant hill it sits on
@@AirtimeThrills on your by the numbers video you said its 135 feet tall though 🤔 I was stumped when it was a wing coaster and taller than magnum on that game
I got six of my 10, it helped that half were the 2 strata coasters and their miniature counterpart

Haha thats gold
Round 6 guesses 5 sit down coasters after it tells you it isnt a sit down coaster.

I was SCREAMING tatsu 12:39
Second video on Saturday!
You can tell my documentary isnt doing well when i start posting Saturday quizzes 😅
I play Coastle all day 😂
YOU should rank the top tallest coasters in the world or us
I did it once and the answer was Flying Turns! (A kiddy bobsled coaster)
I played and guessed Cannibal and it was correct on the first try!
I play this sometimes, but I ALWAYS START WITH IRON MENACE
Really enjoyed this one bud!
Number 9: I was yelling at my phone Flight of Fear. really kind of wondering if it would have been accepted it since it's pretty much the same thing
If nothing else would have been a great clue
Just played today (may 24th) and I knew the answer by the 3rd guess, but the actual coaster isn't in the drop down list, no matter how you type it out.
It won’t let me restart on mobile.
Try hitting the daily/endless button again
Thanks!
i took all the guesses for ride to happiness :/
The second time RTH came around it literally told you five times in a row it wasn't a sit down and you didn't listen :(
Taller than Dragster? HMM...I WONDER WHAT IT COULD BEEEEEE
Not Chris guessing 6 sit down coasters in a row when it says it's not a sit down
Crazy it gave you tatsu twice
And ride to happiness
6:01 HOW DID H-
99% luck
TIL this was a thing. 😊
I also got 7/10 but used the hints (I mean if it’s there why not use it) 😂
You make a strong argument
its not a sit down for round six lol
Woops
I guessed x2 on my first try and it was right 😂😂😂
Heh heh. I play this game every day now.
Rank every coaster with “express” in the name
i tried it and opened with hakugei and it was hakugei
There’s no way I guessed intimidator 305 and I got it first try ! I took a screenshot if you want proof
Yeah I believe it, I got one on the 2nd guess once. Sometimes you just get lucky
Round 6 should have been easy because it was a Mack and not a sit down
K stop. How in the world did I get the correct answer on try two after getting everything wrong on the first try
