Could you please clarify on porosity cluster acceptance for B31.3, Normal, pipe WT 12.7mm, where the Lenght of the cluster is 13mm?
Based on ASME B31.3-2018 Table 341.3.2 for T> 6 mm w (1∕4in.), limit is 1.5 × D.
Based on ASME BPVC.VIII.1-2021 4-3 (h) Clustered Indications. ... The length of an acceptable cluster shall not exceed the lesser of 1 in. (25 mm) or 2t. ...
Shall I consider porosity acceptance length as 38mm (1.5 x D = 1.5 x 25)?
An interesting fact to compare with other codes: API -1104 has an acceptable cluster length of 13mm, ISO 5817:2014 has an acceptable cluster is 15mm.
