    this is raw stuff, no cameramen, no boom mic, literally a phone, a GoPro, and a nice camera and that just shows that you just love these animals.

    Wow, nice c. horridus! I miss those guys, living in this part of Texas. And, that last king reminds me of one I found at Ft. Stewart when I was in the National Guard. Pretty snakes!

    That last snake to me was and always will be a Canebrake rattlesnake.I know people nowadays interchangeably use the term Timber rattlesnake,but to me that creamy color with black bands mean a Canebrake.The black colored version of the one found farther north is a Timber.I know they're the same snake but I'm old school like that.That was a fantastic video.If you've ever been a tin flippin' virgin,when you flip your first rattlesnake under tin,it is a total adrenaline rush.LOL!

      Mostly find yellow-faced whips, small-eyed snakes the occasional juvie brown and red belly. I envy American herpers who seem to get 50+ snakes a day of at least 20 different species.

      @@MrSuperleobros Herping in America can be insanely hard. If you live in Georgia, Florida, or any state out west, it is brain dead easy. If you live anywhere else, it's decently hard

    Those S Ga canebrakes are so beautiful. Ran into a 5.5 footer a few yrs back while clearing some brush in Homerville and he must have had at least 10-12 rattles on him. We measured him with a stick laying next to him and then let him go😎

    In SW Oklahoma we have pigmy and western diamondback but in eastern OK we call the timber rattlers velvet tails.

    Sounds like you guys are next to I-75 lol. Lived in Central Florida for several years. There’s definitely some nice things about living in the south...but fire ants aren’t one of them lol.

    Those were some nice kings, if yall ever go though jacksonville i know a place absolutely loaded with eastern diamondbacks, and some of the biggest eaterns ive heard of have been found around jacksonville look up hige rattlesnake found in st johns county theres a sheriff holding one up with some tongs and of course they exaggerated like hell but it looks like it could actually be 6 feet or so which you know is huge

    It is cool that you release them. I've hunted and kept snakes all my life and they are a lot more fun to catch than to keep. Relatively boring as "pets."

    Eastern subspecies looks bigger than _Lampropeltis getula californiae_ . I remember when you weren't legally allowed to own one and when morphs appeared on the market. I have some old pics of me holding a wild one I'd caught. I was probably about 14.

    Hey Buds - Great Video. I'm here in Long Island and have a question: If the spot is loaded with fire ants, why don't you flip the board over and leave it (instead of flipping it backs). Wouldn't this make it more hospitable for snakes the next time you go to the spot?
