Hey mate ive been playing Eve a few years now and even though i don't play much in high sec i absolutely love your guides and content, ill be sure to pass on the links to newbros i meet o7
AKA Van Devan in game Good tips on griefers :) Here is another tip. Many of the missions will have more of the required items that you need. E.g. Marines, Tourists, Exotic Dancers. Keep hold of them as future proofing. If your mission objectives are stolen. Go and get the necessary spare you have saved and hand in the mission :)
I'm a lvl4 veteran mission runner, and I want to say you did a great job on explaining how you should be running lvl3 missions. I do think keeping an eye on you directional scanner (D-scan) is a bit too much, if someone warps into my mission, I just continue the mission with them in it. Sure they'll get some bounty from you but in lvl3's it's hardly worth their time. However this only applies in high-sec ofc. I also took my time to expand on the build you showed. This build is full T2 version of yours with a few changes and is flyable by alpha players. Do take note it is based on maxed out alpha skills, although not all your skills need to be maxed to be able to fly this properly. Cap stable around 34% || multispectrum based passive shield tank 390 EFHP/s (or 119HP/s) || 358 DPS incl. drones & reload [Drake, Bonkersy2K T2 expanded] Ballistic Control System II Power Diagnostic System II Power Diagnostic System II Shield Power Relay II Large Shield Extender II Large Shield Extender II EM Shield Hardener II Multispectrum Shield Hardener II Multispectrum Shield Hardener II 10MN Monopropellant Enduring Afterburner Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Assault Missile Heavy Assault Missile Launcher II, Scourge Heavy Assault Missile Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Medium Core Defense Field Purger II Hobgoblin II x5
The fit looks good :) If someone is in your mission they dont get any bounty's so no worries there, the only time they receive a pay out is if you have them in fleet with you. I would say using the Dscan is always a good idea so we can agree to disagree there. If someone has combat probes out and are zeroing in on you this means that they are actively seeking to pick some kind of fight or steal from you. being aware of this means that you can prepare as necessary and pull anything like MTU's from space to avoid loosing loot. Thanks for your feedback on the video i really do appreciate it :)
@@BonkersY2K Ha! I didn't know it didn't share with them. Wouldn't truly know since I never bothered to look it up, I took an educated guess they did. And yes the thing about Dscan is very true, but I think it may be a bit overwhelming for new players.
@@BonkersY2K Hi buddy. Just got back into eve after years and purchased a drake. I'm transitioning from a rail moa so I've never used missiles properly. Do you think HAMs or heavy missiles are better for a drake pve build?
Heavys are good if your doing missions because of the damage output but they are slow so if you have an afterburner on your ship use hs they will die faster
you fit helped me enjoy running mission level 3's i was gettign fustrated using comunity fit that they provide now and i pluged your's in gone from 26kehp to 56k little less damage but way more enjoyable to run missions instead warping out back in constantly thank you

I'd swap out the damage control for an extra ballistic control system as the extra deeps would be of more use and you still have more than enough tank to handle any lvl 3 missions
So the reason you don't do that is because of the stacking penalty adding another bcu only gives a 1.2% increase to damage vs the dcu which increases your tank by 25% its not a fair en9ugh trade out
@@BonkersY2K Well damn, I've been debating on asking about it all night, I knew I should have just waited 😂 thanks for the reply and the vids, they're amazing! Keep up the good work!
Great video man, I've been doing lvl 3 missions with a arty Hurricane Fleet Issue and dancing between Amarr and Minmatar to do the standings climb on all factions. I can soon run l4 missions and thinking of upgrading to a Machariel, been loving the playstyle of arty so I might fit my Machariel with arty guns and control the fights with range for full clears. A little question when it comes to turret ammo, is it better to swap ammo so the targets are within the optimal range as much as possible or is the ammo with the highest damage still viable on it's falloff?
Ammo swapping for better application is always a good idea, and one I would suggest, if you have ammo that does more damage and you can gt closer without taking too much damage though that is possibly best to clear the mission quicker, that or leverage your drones for more DPS :)
@@BonkersY2K Thanks! I've always been hesitant in acquiring other types of ammunition due to the idea of "This has the highest dps" without thinking of what you just said! It will surely help with scenarios where the enemies are ages away and avoid using a MWD to burn torwards them just to use the best ammo.
@BonkersY2K what are your thoughts on salvaging? I'm a retuning player and I have a noctis from many years ago. The MTU seems to cover a lot of the benefits of the noctis.
So salvaging can generate good money but it is time consuming either A) loose drone dps and replace them with salvage drones or B) bookmark the spot with the wrecks after everything is cleared and the mtu has looted and come back in a salvage boat. I personally don't bother unless I need the salvage for a build or something. Instead I'll just ask if anyone wants to come clear up behind me and let them take it 😆
Only played a month or 2 when I was ratting and there happened to be anther ship at the same anomaly. A group of 4-5 ships warped in on top of the other ship. It warped and they followed it. I totally ignored that sinking suspicion I had and kept on ratting. Well it wasn't 10-15 seconds later they warp back on top of me and wasn't a second later I was space dust. Seriously it was less than a second when I thought the quickest targeting could happen was about a second. Anyway one of them tried to PM me and I just ignored it. Hearing about the faux "permits" here makes me wonder how they might have tried to scam me.
recently i flew with a drake and i like it very much i would like to ask something would you mind fitting drake for C3 ? btw i am an alpha player thanks for everything and also learnt few things from your video fly safe
Im trying to make money doing Lvl3 missions, but it's just so abysmally slow going. Are there certain missions which I can skip (decline) so I can just blitz through others? Is that even worth doing on Lvl3 missions?
So level 3s are never going to make you a tonne of isk, for that you want Lvl4s you are probably better dropping to level 2s and finding a station that has say 3 agents in all level 2 pick up missions from all 3 agents and then blast through them in the same time. Mission running was never intended as a way to get "rich" its more of a gate way to be able to buy your way into other things
I wonder why did you listed it as cap stable, when its can't be cap stable with alpha skills? At least not with multispectrum hardeners (with 2 single element possibly can, with multi - pyfa say no)
I'm using an alpha account when I was cap stable at the time of making it, recent changes to the multispectral hardners mean that the cap usage has increased but only marginally so its 24 minutes stable that should be more than enough time lol
@@BonkersY2K oh, same with dps i think, its like 50 or so lower with all alpha ship\missile skills learned also its not 24 minutes, but just 9 with all alpha on max
Dude I don't know what is wrong with your pyfa but for 100% certainty I can tell you a drake with 6 heavy launchers and 5 drones is going to do way more than 50 dps I think you need to check your settings, the build is still sound btw I checked it, cap stable too
hey i have a question how do you get 300 dps? i only got 100 is it skills? cuse my are only just to sit on drake so basicly frist levels of skills for this fit
So is this game just designed to either not be played for 6 months while your skills train, or spend a couple hundred dollars on plex to buy skill points? to do even the most basic things seems to require one of the two.
Not at all, there is content available from day one the way it works is that the longer you play the better that content gets, you wouldn't start world of warcraft and be doing top level mythic plus raids on day one 😉 I highly recommend you look at how goonswarm started, they came in with day 1 old toons and within the week had an entire region under their control and all they used were the rookie starter ships and basic skills. Not a single dollar or pound was spent
So the only reason I chose heavys over HAMs was because of the range. Newer players already have so much to pick up on so quickly that jumping into a level 3 blockade or invasion could be overwhelming. The drake is versatile enough to go either ham or heavy its just I chose heavy as it gives those newer a little more tank and enough dps to manage anything they are going to encounter in a level 3 😃
I think you forgot to mention that you have 5/5 skills for everything concerning flying a Drake. So for especially skill blocked Alpha newbros your fitting and the way that l3 mission went for you is not going to happen for them.
To be 100% clear this is a completely Alpha safe build, there are no requirements for skills to 5 or any issues getting into this ship, before posting the video the build was tested extensively. Mooney, might i suggest before posting comments like that you look at the build (its in the description) which it shows is alpha friendly or better yet test it yourself before trying to discredit it........ Thanks 😊
@@BonkersY2K Brother thanks for replying. This will help me learn. First I never wrote an alpha can not fly that fitting. I do not discredit it either.
