My dad dealt with deer to. He used fresh hair from brushes and haircuts in dirty socks or used nylons. He also sprinkled 'tinkle' and when fresh and smelly it worked!

I think the spray is some sort of coyote smell but I never thought about using hair and I know the brushes we have are loaded with it since my wife has long hair. I will have to try that out!

Looks really pretty. It still looks brand new. What’s the price tag on something like this? Thanks for the update. Ever consider leaving the plug open permanently unless you go through a dry spell?

It depends but I think they were around $110 then around the end of the year it was $80 at Sam's Club but I didn't see them this year. I also know that you can find them used online.
They are really tough my Aunt has had hers a few years and it also still looks like new.

Hopefully the deer don't eat the plants this year so I can do an update. I know others with these that have had multiple years of growing tomatoes and peppers without issues.

@@WorldComposting Thank you for the link. My issues are mice and rats. My neighbor is putting a roof on his home aand I think they are looking for a new home. A few strawberries were snacked on. Oh well. Maybe I need a barn cat. Lol.

I know that an outdoor cat in my neighborhood really worked to get rid of the mice! Not mine but another neighbor had a few cats he let outside.

Your welcome! I still have this in my backyard and a few of my relatives have bought the same one with how well it has held up over the years.
