- Hi friends! I wanted to show you what my studying routine looks like for my first semester in nursing school. I did make an A on this exam so I hope this video can be helpful to your studying routine.
Side note, I plan to be investing in an iPad soon for note-taking so that I am able to do this routine without wasting all this paper..🥴

Tip for everyone going through nursing school, do your best not to second guess yourself. I learned this the hard way. I sucked at testing because I always changed my answers. Your first answer is usually right. Take your time reading the question and underline key words that’ll help the answer come more naturally back to the forefront of that beautiful powerful brain. I know it’s easier said than done but practice helps form good habits. Slow down, breathe and trust yourself. I graduated with my associates degree four years ago and trust me, I nearly cried with relief when I got my final grades back. Same when I got the email saying I passed my NCLEX. You’ve got this!
That’s my biggest problem! I ALWAYS second guess myself and change my answer!! 😩😩 Luckily I made it out of my first semester of nursing school with an 88.
I’m starting my first semester of nursing school in about a week so I’ve been watching these types of videos nonstop, and your tips are probably the most helpful ones I’ve seen!! Keep up the great work :)))

How has it been
I love how you had your phone on night mode while studying and use blue light glasses! I literally do the same thing, especially since I switched to taking notes on my laptop! Love your videos. You’re going to be such a great nurse 😊💖

omg i'm glad i'm not the only one lol I literally always keep my phone on night mode and my friends are always asking why my phone looks orange 😂it makes such a difference though!!

I love writing on the professor’s PowerPoint on my iPad on notability. But I still feel like it’s not as aesthetic or condensed and still confusing. You have such nice handwriting ✍️ Loved your video 💕💕💕💕💕

I do a lot of practice questions. Minimum memorization, but maximum comprehension and APPLICATION.

I want to transfer into the nursing major at my university and I am a sophomore. I want to finish all the pre reqs this semester to apply to hopefully get into the nursing program this spring. But I’ll be taking A&P, biology w lab, neuroscience and history. This is going to be an extremely heavy course load but I needed to have enough credits to be full time. I just prayyyy I still do good 😫😫
Oh man, that is a heavy course load but as long as you can really manage your time I think you will be fine! My first bachelors degree was in biology so reach out to me if ya have any questions- I love Bio and A&P 🤪
@@courtneysath thank you for the hope! 💛 do you think bio labs are not that intimidating? I take my first in person lab this yr for bio and I’m never good at labs so I’m nervous lol. I loved neuroscience last yr and did super good so tbh that’s why I chose to take another in hopes I’d get a high grade again to back up my gpa!
@@HannahTran1 I think all labs are intimidating lol even when I was a lab assistant I still got nervous for lab. But I try to remind myself that everyone there is learning how to do things for the first time. So don't be scared to ask a million questions until you fully understand what you're doing! finishing up my final two prerequisites and will start my program in january.. any tips for getting my notes that perfect? lol you could honestly copy those and sell them😊
ahhh you're so close! That's super exciting. And thank you so much. Honestly, I have an art background so I think that helps- but I would say making your titles or new topics in one "font" then doing your subtitles in a different one helps me. For example, I sometimes do my titles in cursive, then my subtitles in all caps. Then I like to add little drawings in there to help break up all the text. Hope this helps😄

Hi!! Thank you so much. I do not have much experience at all so i am probably not the best person to ask lol. My current process is just brainstorming video ideas that I would personally be interested in watching or would have found helpful when I was first starting out, and then come up with a realistic timeline of when I can actually film and edit those videos. I would suggest making a posting schedule so your viewers know exactly when you will be posting your next video (I need to do this myself lol). For example, I see that you are going to be posting about nursing, home decor, and everyday living- so maybe create a rotation schedule for those "topics" you want to cover. This is the 3rd time I’ve pushed my NCLEX back 😩 I’m nervous because I keep scoring 55% and 48% on my Kaplan and Uworld practice exams and unfortunately I got her Nclex content reviews too... I’m testing soo

I start my first semester of nursing school at Rasmussen im so scared and excited at the same time. Im going for my BSN. So far do you like the school?
omg congrats!! So this week is my finals week of my first quarter. So far I like it. I feel like you do teach yourself a lot of stuff- especially the online classes. They provide you with a lot of resources. So far I am happy with the school :)
do you have any tips for starting or getting into nursing programs?
I would say really take your pre-reqs seriously, not only is it important to make good grades to get into a program, but also really having a good understanding of the information will help you in nursing school. For example, I am currently taking Pathophysiology and I am seeing A&P, biology, chemistry, etc. all being incorporated! 🤍best of luck to you

Sorry idk how I missed this lol.. I just use iMovie and then Epidemic Sound for music. I would like to get Final Cut Pro eventually... what about you??

I failed my nclex in April at 75 questions. I just retook it on August 16 and got all 145, 45 SATA 2 Drag and drop orders, and lots of priority and infection control questions but got the good pop up!! All thanks to God and my husband for his encouragement also thanks to Mrs Olivia for her Nclex content reviews thank helped me prepared
I got recommended by a colleague who said she got passed through her, already studying her content reviews. I’m testing soon
