  • IMPORTANT: Don't remove the philips head screw all the way, you don't want to lose it in your headlight housing! Just loosen it, remove the spring, and tighten the screw down.
I have ridden around for a few months now and the LED has not moved at all. Beam pattern is still perfect!

Isn't the H7 ring detachable from the LED? Wouldn't it be possible to replace the spring with another one you bend to hold the ring in place prior to inserting the bulb into it?

Using the spring didn't help. The GSXR requires an H7 base as well as a stupid Mazda adapter that converts it to a weird two-pronged H4 style plug.

I am considering the 9005/HB3: GTR Lighting Ultra 2 for my K5 Gixxer. Have you been happy with these? Any new advice you can provide? Do I have to remove the spring like you did? I rather not. Did you find a place to buy the LED in singles?

I've been very happy with them, they are very bright and no one has flashed me. The spring removal is very easy and reversible (it's just a philips head screw). The LED has not moved at all even though there is no spring holding it in as it seems very snug in place and the rubber boot also helps this I would imagine. Your results may vary as far as you having a K5. I have not seen a place that sells them as singles, if you had an H7 I would sell you my spare. You could always sell your extra on ebay.

@@09ThunderOne Thanks for the awesome reply! H7 is my low beam. I was going to do the HB first. What would you want for it? Did you have to get the anti flickering kit?

@@airwebber I didn't have to get the anti-flickering kit. It worked plug and play. I will list it on ebay today if you want it

I’m looking to do this on my 2006 gsxr 600. Do all I need to do is just order the bulbs and will it work or do I need to order the harness that you spliced on? Also do you normally need to get an adapter for these bikes but you were able to do without one ?

Just get the H7 version, no need for an adapter. You will also need to change the bike's headlight plug to an H7 plug, which is easy.

@@kimbapal2 the exact page is not on Amazon anymore, but any "H7 female ceramic pigtail" will work. Everything has held up fine with zero issues!
