    • @maboulofob

Well, sadly he is just another apologist, defending the bible against science. You might believe otherwise, but the truth is what the facts are, and the facts are that the earth is 4,5 billion years old, evolution is true, and many things in the bible are known to be wrong thanks to science :/
Noah's flood didn't happen for instance. Job an isaiah both talk about a flat earth by the way... you can interpret the scripture orherwise, but they say circle for a reason. They thought the earth was flat. Which it definitely isn't.
I can't believe Lisle talks about light-years claiming that "the speed of light must have changed"... Like his example with the grand canyon and the flood.. Every people saying "fast sedimentation" and so on, all fake, not scientific consensus. Apologists consensus
This is literally trying to adjust reality so it matches your bible. It's the most dishonest thing to do as a scientist... Nobody assumes that the rates are constant, they just learn physics.
Even his supposedly modelisation to see how galaxies spin etc, that has been done already and he is wrong. Sorry folks.
Just to be clear, I am not denying Christianity here, just some bible claims that we know are wrong because we now have the technology to observe much more than we did 2000-4000 years ago.
Science is not trying to explain the soul, so religion shouldn't try to explain cosmology, because it can't.
      Peace

Well, I just became disenchanted with Dr. Lisle, since he seems to be a proponent of 'dark matter' which is obviously a rescue device with absolutely no evidence for its existence , except that it ' must' exist.
Credit the kid who asked a question the way it should've been asked, I just wish he'd have asked Dr. Lisle about 'dark energy' as well , since it has the same amount of evidence as well, which is none except that it 'must.'

There may be more hope than we sometimes might think for others to accept Gods truth and the most important truth that Jesus suffered and died for us that the debt of our sins could be wiped clean.

One thing Lisle failed to consider is gravitational potential energy of Jupiter. When Jupiter radiates more heat than it received, it cool a bit. But cooler gas will contract (as Jupiter is gas giant), as a result gravitational potential energy converted to internal energy and compensate the heat loss. A simple math can show that this mechanism is enough for Jupiter's heat loss to last billions of years.

My favorite statement from an Atheist on Creationism vs Darwinism/Evolution (Biological/Universal); They joke that our position is, "We can't explain it, so 'God did it'," followed by a condescending chuckle...It's fun because my reply is always, "Ah, Darwinism/Evolution...We can't explain it so, NOTHING DID IT...Or, We can't explain it so Dark Matter did it...We can't explain it so The Graviton did it...Shall I continue?" All of their "gods" are hypothetical, "working theories" LOL. Isn't it amazing how many humans think that the word "science" is mutually exclusive to the religion of atheism? How did that happen? Goofballs. The Theory of Relativity...Still a theory, folks. One last statement you should wrap a discussion up with, melts their brains - Just say, well, looks like we disagree, but at least we can agree on one fact, every time your say the word, "UNIVERSE" you can enjoy the fact that it means, "One Spoken Word" - Uni...Verse...Enjoy!"

@@slingslang2934 "A few gaps in what science can explain..." Out of touch, much? "Science" can't explain anything - Science is a process, a discipline...Not a person explaining things. "Science" is not an autonomous-being, but a word that gets used regularly as if it were. Every scientist has a point-of-view and agenda. Every publication and thesis has ulterior and counter-arguments. While yes, we now have penicillin as a result of people doing science, it cannot be said that "science gave us penicillin" - It was the scientist, which, through scientific methods discovered it. Alexander Fleming believed in God. Was his belief-system his motivation? Not likely, therefore his science was truly scientific. Can the average atheist say the same for their science? Absolutely not. They are typically more dogmatic than scientists of faith. "Why God did it?" Can I explain that? I wouldn't pretend to be able to convince you of anything. Cognitive-dissonance is a very big challenge. YOU might be able to do enough science for yourself, to get the answer.

    • @Bomtombadi1
      @Bomtombadi1 ปีที่แล้ว

didn’t realize I had to do your work for you, cupcake. I don’t expect you to understand this, but here goes nothing:
Your question is loaded with the implication that someone DID something. No one except creationists use the nothing alternative, so that’s a strawman. Dark matter and gravitons have been detected, so I don’t know what you’re crying about, except you’re too simple to even remotely grasp a very complex set of topics.
Finally, that’s not the etymology of the universe. You’ve use words from two different languages. But again great job sounding stupid. Josh Feuerstein said this years ago. “Verse” in universe, is from Latin “universus” or “combined into one”.
So by this logic you’ve brilliantly laid out, the word fa (flower) and que (chair) literally means the English-sounding equivalent.
      So flower chair.

What about entropy ? Isn't it true that all things decay so that in the case of gene's , as you've mentioned before in another video lesson, that before sin everything was good, perfect ? no death ? no 'entropy' !! But , after sin there was death. Death was the result of sin. I believe you mentioned that contrary to 'evolution' , change w/in kinds happened because of gene's being lost on some cases.
It this is true , wouldn't we be loosing energy or mass in the form of gene's that were no more ??

I have encountered several people who claim that evolution is true and proven to be a fact.
They are making up a story about the past that they were not there to see, using present-day rocks, layers, and fossils and the best they can do is to make educated guesses about what happened in the past, but look at many of their videos, showing dinosaurs in their environment grazing/hunting, feasting. They have all of these fancy videos of stuff they have never seen in real life; you would think they had a time machine and went back and filmed it all.
The whole point of the fancy animated videos and pictures is that if all they put forward are various collections of bones in museums, people would be like oh that's nice and move on, but with slick animations and pictures now that's a real selling point, but who stops to ask is that really how it happened, did they really look like that, or is all of that nothing but best guesses and not the real thing?

If hyper-surface of simultaneity is defined as hyper-plane orthogonal to time axis under Minkowski metric then OWS of light is always c, this is the convention used by special reality. But Lisle argued that it does not have to be that way. The hyper-surface of simultaneity itself is determined by OWS of light, so this kind of indirectly measurement is just a form of circular reasoning. Hyper-surface of simultaneity can lie anywhere outside the past and future light cone to maintain the causality. If hyper surface of simultaneity is defined as aligned with past light cone, then light speed toward observer is always infinity.
The key argument is that the idea of simultaneity between two different places in space is not objective, even under same reference frame, rather, it only exists in human's brain and subject to interpretation.

The Doppler effect on light as it comes back could make it much slower. Also consider light once it escapes a gravity well. The theory is gravity effects light, so even in the current theory, light in interstellar and intergalactic space could be near instantaneous.
This dependence on a 'convention' is a huge hole in the theory of relativity. As a mathematician, just because the math works out does not mean all values and variables are correct or accounted for, it just means the error and omissions net out.
Time dilation just doesn't sit well with me, and I think it is more something effecting the how we measure time than time itself in the practical applications of relativity.

*Time speeds up in outer space where there is no matter.* That means time goes by faster in outer space where there is no matter. That means that there is no single rate or measure of time in the universe. That means the outer spiral arms don't need any extra matter or dark matter. Distance is also expanded in outer space where there is no matter causing redshift. That means that distance is expanded not expanding in outer space where there is no matter. That means there is no need for dark energy. It also means that billions of years occur at the same time as thousands of years occur in the same universe. (A day is a thousand years and a thousand years is a day in reality.) There is no matter in outer space to slow down time or contract distance. That means that plasma beams of light are not seven times the speed of light. It does mean that distance is expanded and time speeds up in outer space the farther away plasma jets get from the center of the galaxy. It's simple general relativity.

@@therick363 See if you can follow this. Outline: Time Light *and Distance* Problem Explained
      I. Introduction
The assumption people have is that light years in outer space equals the same measure of distance and passage of time on earth. This is the reason they think that an age can be assigned to the universe. This is curious knowing that there is no single measure of distance or rate of the passing of time in the universe. General relativity explains that the local rate of time and the measure of distance depend on the amount of matter or mass in the vicinity. Elsewhere in the universe the rate of time and measure of distance depend on the absence of matter in the vicinity. Assuming the math is correct and there is a singularity in a black hole, time is stopped and there is no distance. In contrast, the lagrange point between supermassive black holes is a place where there is the least amount of gravity in the universe and where the rate of time passes by very fast and the measure of distance is the most expanded. What the measurements are is unknown since no one is there to make a comparison.
II. Differing Measures of Time and Distance due to GR
The area of space in our line of sight between us and distant galaxies is mostly running at a much faster rate of time. Not only is time passing by faster between galaxies, the measures of distance are much larger effectively reducing the distance between galaxies. Observed phenomena in outer space such as redshift, superluminal motion measured to be seven times the speed of light, and apparent faster motion of outer spiral arms of galaxies are due to the faster rates of time and the expanded measures of distance the farther out from the center of the galaxy it is. Incidentally the asteroid that was knocked off course moved faster than expected. The expansion of the universe is not required to explain the observed redshift of light from distant galaxies because the expanded distance and faster rates of time explain both the redshift and the faster than expected motion of objects the farther away from the center of the galaxy that it is. It's not the same as our flat observations of cats and dogs locally here on earth where we don't observe differing measures of distance and time.
III. Local Rate of Time and Measure of Distance due to GR
Locally, the measure of distance and rate of time doesn't change much where we are inside of our galaxy. However, the area in our line of sight between us and distant galaxies is extreme and running at a much faster rate of time as well as an expanded measure of distance outside our galaxy compared to where we are near Sagittarius A, Milky Way's black hole (where our rate of time is much slower and our measure of distance is much more contracted). The same way the earth appears flat locally, our universe also *appears* to be relatively flat locally. However, over great distances throughout the universe there are vastly differing measures of distance and differing rates of time from black holes to the lagrange points between black holes where there is very little acceleration compared to our relatively flat contracted local frames of reference near Sagittarius A. The clocks are running faster outside of galaxies and the measuring sticks are larger meaning things are actually less distant than they appear to us to be from our position and our measurements near the center of the galaxy. *We can't project our measurements onto the rest of the universe.* Gravity drops off exponentially the *farther* it is from the singularity center of the galaxy. The more gravity drops off outside of the galaxy and in between galaxies, the more distance will be expanded and the faster the rate of time will be. It's also the reason distant galaxies *appear* to be ten times more massive than than closer ones.
      IV. Vacuum Energy of Space
It turns out that the vacuum energy of space is due to the frame dragging of black holes that are growing in size from gobbling up spacetime regardless of the amount of matter being consumed. Recent findings of a team of scientists have found that dark energy or vacuum energy is associated with supermassive black holes that are all growing in size regardless of the amount of matter being consumed, as opposed to being associated with an ever expanding universe into oblivion for no reason. Supermassive black holes are the most powerful forces in the universe with far reaching effects of gravity and vacuum energy. The problem and solution is that between galaxies, all of the galaxies all around are all together pulling and drawing in spacetime, as well as exerting equal gravitational forces from all around on empty space. This is the reason there is very little acceleration between galaxies and where there is expanded distance and a faster rate of time.
      V. Conclusion
The expanded space or distance between galaxies due to the absence of matter explains the observed redshift without the need for a nonsensical universe expanding into oblivion for no reason. It also means the distances between galaxies are not as far as they appear to us to be. This combined effect means that 13.8 billion years is the same as 6,000 years and vice versa *in the same universe.* A day is also like a thousand years and vice versa in the same created universe. The reason why people stumble over the "time light problem" in outer space is due to not taking general relativity into account.

Everytime these guys post videos they block the comments. This is what they are afraid of. The Bible talks about “clouds” going up and down with people going in and out (Exodus 24:18 - Moses entered the cloud). Clouds do not make those movements described in the Bible, but spaceships do. Jesus ascended in a “cloud” (Acts 1:9). God rides in a “cloud” (Isaiah 19:1, Psalm 104:3). Jesus will come back “with” the “clouds” (Mat 26:64, Rev 1:7). Jesus will come back commanding a fleet of starships. The church will be raptured “in” the “clouds” (I Thess. 4:17). Spaceships will be used to rapture the church. The ancient did not have vocabulary or knowledge to understand what they saw so they called the flying objects “clouds”, “chariots”, and “pillars”, because were the words they had to describe something flying in the sky. The Bible even tells in Psalm 68:17 how many spaceships are in the fleet “The chariots of God are tens of thousands and thousands of thousands” (about 20,000). There is a good research done by Patrick Cooke called “The Great Deception - The Bible UFO Connection” which has the original words describing spaceships. It is all over the Bible. Jesus is real. He is the savior of the world, but He is not seating in a puffy cloud. He is commanding a powerful army, which will take control of our planet and stop all wars. The Jews had contact with beings from another planetary system called The Elohim, commanded by The Most High God. The Elohim had to have a special covenant with humans to be able to save our planet from destruction. They got the agreement with the Jews, but the Jews were not faithful to the agreement so The Most High God sent Jesus to make a new covenant and have legal rights to save our planet from destruction. The Jews made a covenant with beings from another planetary system. Psalm 82:1-6 says that God presides over a great assembly. Something like a federation of planets. If you want to confirm what I am saying just look at a painting made in 1710 by someone that had access to the secret archives of the Vatican. Look at the paint " The Baptism of Christ" by Aert de Gelder. Now that we know more about science, we can understand the descriptions in the Bible. They described high technology but didn't have words to express. When they saw spaceships with strong lights they called "glory”. The "glory" of God was a spaceship with lights. In the interplanetary law the price to save us was innocent blood. That is why Jesus had to die for us. He was fulfilling a legal requirement.

Richard Rogers All I’m saying is, if you believe the universe is around 6,000 years old, and that god created the light of distant objects to travel to our eyes, then it follows that that light isn’t accurately depicting the reality of those distant objects, which leads to billions of people being deceived into thinking they’re looking at images of the real past of an object millions or billions of years old. Unless you think god’s character is compatible with mass deception, this seems like a problem.

And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. - Genesis 7
And many chiefs of the stars shall transgress the order prescribed. And these shall alter their orbits and tasks. And not appear at the seasons prescribed to them. And the whole order of the stars shall be concealed from the sinners. And the thoughts of those on the earth shall err concerning them. And they shall be altered from all their ways. Yea, they shall err and take them to be gods. Enoch 78:6-7

The chariot on which he ascends, the wind drives, and the sun goes down from the heaven and returns through the north in order to reach the east, and is so guided that he comes to the appropriate (lit. ' that ') portal and 6 shines in the face of the heaven. In this way he rises in the first month in the great portal, which 7 is the fourth [those six portals in the cast]. And in that fourth portal from which the sun rises in the first month are twelve window-openings, from which proceed a flame when they are opened in 8 their season. When the sun rises in the heaven, he comes forth through that fourth portal thirty, 9 mornings in succession, and sets accurately in the fourth portal in the west of the heaven

Genesis 1 says god created day and night before He created the sun and the moon. He covered the Earth with a firmament solid enough to hold back water. He told us that He put the sun, moon and stars within that firmament. He also says that the moon has its own light, not that the sun shines on it. Over and over the Bible tells us that the Earth does not move.
    Believe God, not man.

Genesis chapter one is not all about the creation of the whole universe. It's about the creation of this Earth and the sky/atmosphere/heaven. Genesis chapter one does not say God spoke the stars into existence on day 4. It is more like they that this is a comment by the writer to say "oh he also made the stars". Allow for The Bible to talk about the local heavens... what we see from the Earth. That is what was created on day 4, not everything in the whole universe.
We know from elsewhere in The Bible that sin began before the Earth was created, sin began in heaven. Lucifer and his angels were cast out. This earth was created and this is "the stage" where sin is being dealt with. We are a spectacle to the whole universe.
A young Earth, Sun, moon, solar system and maybe some nearby stars, yet an old universe. The Bible allows for this.
Read the beginning of Genesis. The Earth was not spoken into existence in Genesis 1. The Bible allows for it to have pre-existed. The first thing spoken into creation was light.
Let not preconceived ideas distort the scriptures by reading into them things that may not be there.

*Jesus falsely prophesied his return in the 1st century*
Truly I tell you, ***some who are standing here will not taste death*** before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom Matthew 16:28
Truly I tell you, ***some who are standing here*** will not taste death before they see the kingdom of God Luke 9:27
Truly I tell you, ***this generation will certainly not pass away*** until all these things have happened Mark 13:30
    The sun will be darkened,
    and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory. And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.
Truly I tell you, ***this generation will certainly not pass away*** until all these things have happened Matthew 24:29-34
There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. People will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near. When you see these things happening, you know that the kingdom of God is near.
Truly I tell you, ***this generation will certainly not pass away*** until all these things have happened Luke 21:25-32
*Jesus promised to return over 2, 000 years ago and he still hasn’t.*
Jesus and the angels never appeared from Heaven, the stars never fell from the sky, none of these things happened. Nothing he prophesied happened.
***Apologists can try to spin this, but the simple fact is that Jesus was either wrong or misquoted.***
According to the Bible that makes Jesus a false prophet or misquoted (and if Jesus is misquoted than the Bible is not inerrant or the word of God)
How can we know when a message has not been spoken by the Lord? If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the Lord does not take place or come true, that is a message the Lord has not spoken Deuteronomy 18:21-22
*Jesus falsely prophesied to the high priest and the Sanhedrin*
Jesus also falsely prophesied to the high priest and the Sanhedrin (assemblies of either twenty-three or seventy-one rabbis appointed to sit as a tribunal)
You will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and ***coming on the clouds of heaven*** Matthew 26:64 Mark 14:62
Except the high priest and the Sanhedrin never saw Jesus sitting at the right hand side of God, or coming on the clouds of heaven, or any such thing.
    *Jesus falsely prophesied to Nathaniel*
Jesus also falsely prophesied to Nathanael when he declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.”
Jesus said, You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that. He then added, ***“Very truly I tell you, you will see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man*** John 1:50-51
*Nathanael never saw any such thing. Neither did anyone else.*
The following quote from Stephen L. Harris, Professor Emeritus of Humanities and Religious Studies at California State University- Sacramento, completes this point with a devastating argument.
*Jesus did not accomplish what Israel’s prophets said the Messiah was commissioned to do:* He did not deliver the covenant people from their Gentile enemies, reassemble those scattered in the Diaspora, restore the Davidic kingdom, or establish universal peace (cf.Isa. 9:6-7; 11:7-12:16, etc.). Instead of freeing Jews from oppressors and thereby fulfilling God’s ancient promises-for land, nationhood, kingship, and blessing- *Jesus died a “shameful” death, defeated by the very political powers the Messiah was prophesied to overcome.* Indeed, the Hebrew prophets did not foresee that Israel’s savior would be executed as a common criminal by Gentiles, *making Jesus’ crucifixion a “stumbling block” to scripturally literate Jews.* (1 Cor.1:23)

*"It needs to be emphasized that this line of reasoning isn't controversial among mainstream, middle-of-the-road NT critics.* I'm not talking about a view held by the Jesus Seminar, or earlier "radical" form and redaction critics like Norman Perrin. *Rather, I'm talking about the kinds of considerations that are largely accepted by moderates who are also committed Christians, such as Dale Allison and John P. Meier. Indeed, conservative scholars of the likes of none other than Ben Witherington and N.T. Wright largely admit this line of reasoning.* Why are they still Christians, you ask? I'll tell you: by giving unnatural, ad hoc explanations of the data. For example, *Meier gets around the problem by arguing that the false prediction passages are inauthentic (i.e., Jesus never said those things; the early church just put those words on the lips of Jesus, and they ended up in the gospels);* *Witherington gets around the problem by saying that what Jesus really meant was that the imminent arrival of the eschatological kingdom might be at hand(!); Wright gets around the problem by adopting the partial preterist line that the imminent end that Jesus predicted really did occur -- it's just that it was all fulfilled with the destruction of Jerusalem (Oh, really? So are we also to think that since he's already come again, he's not coming back? Or perhaps there will be a third coming?* But even putting these worries aside: why does Paul tell various communities very far *outside* of Israel about the same sorts of predictions of an imminent end that would affect *them* -- one that, like the one Jesus talked about, involved judgement, destruction, and the gathering of all the elect? And again, what about the author of Revelation's detailing the end-time judgment, which includes the Roman Empire *outside* of Israel, during the reign of Nero?). *Are you convinced by these responses? Me neither. And now you know why nobody outside of orthodox circles buys them, either."*

"When we say…Jesus Christ…was produced without sexual union, and was crucified and died, and rose again, and ascended to heaven, ***we propound nothing new or different*** *from what you believe regarding those whom you call Sons of God. [In fact]…if anybody objects that [Jesus] was crucified, this is in* ***common*** *with the sons of Zeus (as you call them) who suffered, as previously listed [he listed Dionysus, Hercules, and Asclepius].* Since their fatal sufferings are all narrated as not similar but different, so his unique passion should not seem to be any worse."
*Note how Justin (Martyr) is less of a fool than modern Christian apologists. He admits that differences don’t matter.* Since each and every one of the suffering and dying gods are slain by different means, one cannot argue the mytheme requires exactly the same means of death. “But Osiris can’t have inspired the Jesus myth because Osiris wasn’t nailed to a cross” is a stupid argument. The mytheme is simply death. Being killed. Suffering and dying. The exact mode of death can vary freely. It makes no difference to the existence and influence of the mytheme. It’s simply the particular instantiation of a generic abstraction. *And Justin’s argument (that Satan invented these fake religions to confuse people) entails Justin agreed the mytheme existed: indeed, it was demonically promulgated, multiple times. Intentionally.*
*Likewise, Justin notices the mytheme is not virgin birth, but sexless conception. Of which many examples had already been popularized in pagan mythology (there just happens to also have been examples of actual virgin born gods as well). And by his argument (that the Devil was deliberately emulating the Jesus mytheme, in advance), Justin clearly accepted the same principle for “rising again” after death:* the particular exact metaphysics of the resurrection could, like the exact method of death or conception, vary freely. The mytheme consists solely of the abstraction: returning to life. Somehow. Some way. We will say bodily, at the very least. But what sort of body (the same one, a new one, a mortal one, an immortal one), didn’t matter. *If it had, Justin would have made the argument that “those gods” weren’t really resurrected. But that argument, never occurs to him. Nor did it to any other apologist of the first three centuries.*
*Ancient Christians well knew there was nothing new about their dying-and-rising god. Not in respect to the mytheme.* Their claims were solely that his particular instantiation of it was better, and the only one that actually happened. *They didn’t make up the stupid modern arguments that dying-and-rising god myths didn’t exist or weren’t part of a common mytheme everyone knew about. For example, in the same century, Tertullian, in Prescription against Heretics 40, makes exactly the same argument as Justin. Funny that. They had better access to the evidence than we do. They knew what was really and widely the case. We should listen to them.*
