It's not just the grown-up versions who've been killing it this season. This has actually been a super talented bunch of kid actors as well. This was such well-thought-out casting.
Also, in the anime he's actually got great stamina. He ran from the top of the cliff thru the village screaming at the top of his lungs everyday for years. That's got to be a great cardio workout.

Didn’t notice Nani’s theme (Sails are Set by AURORA) was first played instrumentally when she was watching all of her hard work die right in front of her, only to play in its full version when she’s finally free
The main theme also plays when Bellemere tells young Nami how she found her and Nojiko 6:44. Crazily enough, Nami's introductory theme from when she steals the boat from the 2 pirates in Ep 1 (not the one that plays when she's sneaking around Kaya's mansion) is just a sped up version of the verse section of "My Sails Are Set". Belousova and Ostinelli are geniuses!

Best episode of the season, such amazing acting all around. Luffy's and Nami's actors got choked up talking about the scene and how much it meant to them. Fantastic to see the actors loving the source material so much and wanting to do it justice
And that's the thing - technically Arlong did keep his word. he said he'd consider the matter closed if she brought the money to him by sunrise, and he said if she could bring him that exact amount he'd give her village back their freedom. Him not preventing her from fulfilling her side of the deal was never part of their arrangement. Him not attacking the village before she delivered the money was also never part of their arrangement. It's actually a lot worse than if he had lied.
Fishmen in general would be very difficult to pull off and I think they did a pretty good job considering, the lack of Hachi is a little sad but I get why as I can imagine it'd be an absolute nightmare to make him look good with all the extra limbs. does make me wonder what'll happen when/if they get to Sabaody Achipelego though as he plays quite a big part there.... maybe they'll just swap him out for Chew or Kuroobi instead as they were in the LA.

I thought after I'm through with the anime I would see the live action differently but these actually made me cry harder than I first watched it on Netflix. Really shows the heart of One Piece as how it affects people even from every media. What a good adaptation AND best edits from you. Cant wait for the last episode (as if I don't know it yet)👏🥰

The live action really managed to nail some moments from the manga. Everybody who read it can remember the 'Help me' scene with Luffy and crying Nami. Even if you know what's coming it hit so hard in the netflix version.. literally had me in tears 😢 great job by emily. Also really enjoyed bellemeres character in this episode
It’s so nice to see people finally see the story we’ve been telling about for so long and yes we know it’s just because of how long it is people don’t want to take the dive but man it hurts to see people not have the entire development the team gets throughout the anime but works just enough we know it will only get better

Just how my brains works I guess. Making entertaining cuts between channels takes the most work out of anything in my edits. Having a sense of humour helps but it takes hours of going through the reactions to find those cuts

It think what you done here is simply brilliant, a place where I can see all my favorite reactors all in one place. I must commend you on the craftsmanship (a few examples to prove I’m not bullshitting: side by side reaction of sanji-&-“a reactor” with the exact same facial reactions right after Luffy said “I’ll eat both my arms and legs…”; example 2: decisions to choose which reactors together simultaneously on screen, which before a scene or after a scene; furthermore, you make it so even the different reactors are telling their own story) My favorite edits has to be the intro: “previous episode” in the style of a drama sitcom, and the jokes just lands for me, and I know humor is the hardest thing to write. I know you wrote the humor yourself because ChatGPT can’t do that

This is what you need. The live adaptation has many problems, but when you nail the important moments and the feel you are allowed to make mistakes. Perfect depiction of the arlong arc. I would dare say that this last scene maybe actually better than the anime and manga.

I am so happy the Nami scene was this amazing on the live action show. I really was scared they couldnt do it but it got me like it got me the first time in the anime aswell. I cannot wait to see Robin's Enis Lobby scene.

@@Fkdvl thanks. Takes a fair bit of work but not as much as you’re probably imagining. I usually don’t have a lot of time to edit so when I do I have to be pretty efficient to get these edits done. Will be back for season 2 for sure 👍

This is what you need. The live adaptation has many problems, but when you nail the important moments and the feel you are allowed to make mistakes. Perfect depiction of the arlong arc. I would dare say that this last scene maybe actually better than the anime and manga.
