This guy is so talented seriously. A solid rhythm guitarist who doesn’t miss a beat and a voice that just thumps you straight in the chest. Also one of the most original lyricists around. Can’t believe he’s not more famous.
I met him and I sounded like a drunk teenage girl congratulating someone at the special Olympics, "Y-y-you're such an inspiration." He looked at me kinda weird and just said "ok" It was really embarrassing.
such a beautiful piece, I'm not going through a great time right now but i can appreciate this, Mangum has a unique voice that soothes me and his lyrics are captivating.

i heard an interview with jeff mangum saying how he wrote this song after seeing the movie Overboard for the first time
