Thanks Bob, your videos are inspiring. I have connected two FGR12B together in order to use 18 channels, the number Ch12 onwards begins at ch5 of the second receiver. I have used up all 18 channels for my tanks and animated figures.

Hi Bob, your videos really inspires!. I havet bought a pl18 ev transmitter and a sfr-1. Is it possible to use sbus or ibus here, like that you did in the globliner build?
Actually I managed it myself - just set the the Transmitter-> RX-Setup->RX Protocol to S-BUS, AND the Beier SFR-1 to sbsus, and voila :-)
Fun fact. I hooked up two “12” channel this way and 12 starts in slot 5 of the pwm driver.
I would love to put you up to the task of programming a Futaba T8J or T10J 😀. I think I have most functions on mine setup need help with mixing on MFC-03

I recently bought the Paladin PL18 and it came with 2 receivers, the FTr10 and FTr16s, and I was wondering if you might know whether or not these receivers can be set up the same way? Because I'm having difficulty figuring it out. I'm still new to the hobby and kind of spinning my wheels trying to figure it all out lol. Thanks!

Not right now - bulldozer first. A lot of the programming will be the same though.

how would you setup for two rx's one for the cab unit and one for the trailer without a connecting lead?
Can't bind 2 receivers at the same time on this radio. There is a tricky way to assign 2 models with a quick switch over which I will highlight in an upcoming video.
You can bind multiple receiver. All you need is setup in the RF setup -> RF Type : FRM301 -> FRM301 -> RF Standard ->AFHDS3 1-Way. Then bind the receiver. Do take take note that all receiver bound share same channel output, channel 1 of receiver 1 same as channel 1 of receiver 2 and so on.
You may use 2 receiver, first receiver for cab using channel 1 to 6 and second receiver on trailer for channel 7 to 12 assuming you are using FGR12B receiver.
There is a catch, once the AFHDS3 set to 1 way, telementry function is disabled & function introduced in this video is also disabled.

..... I'm probably going to wait at least until I see some use of it with the Beier system, particularly the USM RC-2.... Because I really like the smoothness, Tuneability and small size of the Hobbywing WP1080s and 1060s.

Yes, you can simply remove the battery from the back👍
what if i connect a flight controller via sbus. The other channel still works?
Yes, you can still use the receiver plugs as normal.
