The Young and the Restless viewers will see a significant shift in the dynamics amongst the Newman clan the weeks of March 18-29, 2024. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) face a tough decision regarding their son, Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
The possibility of a residential treatment program for Connor causes tension and self-doubt in Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) on YR. As she grapples with her feelings, she encounters Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) who too seems to be struggling with her mental health. The Abbott family, including Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), are left concerned for Ashley's well-being.
Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), affectionately known as "The Mustache", finds himself yielding to the women in his life as Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), and Claire Howard (Hayley Erin) unite to confront Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk). Meanwhile on the CBS soap opera, Kyle and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) contemplate hiring Claire to assist with their son, Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) the weeks of 3/18-3/29/24.

Summer needs to be worried about her nutty mother. Phyllis has done worse Claire has ever done and she didn't do what she did on her own. She was programmed to do what she did. Phyllis doesn't have anyone to blame for her insanity but herself.pplus Phyllis is twice Claire's age.
I believe,if that happens, it’s going to open potential for Kyle & Claire. Bringing some juicy drama, so for the excitement and change, if nothing else, I’m here for a little tension, between the newfound, cousins.
I would also love to see Adam and Claire develop a friendship - they have so much in common. And Claire seems to have great rapport with kids so perhaps she can help Connor.
IMO, anyone could be just as good with children as Miss Claire. She is nothing special and the writer keeps it so basic! So fake! I mute the tv when Claire is on.
Also, with a lifetime of her past, there is no possibility she could have recovered from this! So mark my words, we will see her turn evil in the future

Does Abby get to bring Devon to the lunch? If so, Adam should be allowed to bring Sally....although she would have to sit with Victor and Nick which probably wouldn't be much fun - though luckily, she's no shrinking violet.

That means Sharon will be missing for two more weeks...at least?! With all the mental health issues going on, her skills and expertise would be needed asap. WTH, there's not even an explanation for her disappearance. And if the Newmans can forgive Claire, then they can forgive Adam!

I'm hoping if Summer finds out something she doesn't like about Claire, she just sucks it up and leaves Claire ALONE. TBH I am done with Summer and ALL her storylines I wish Griffith could figure out some way to make Summer just DISAPPEAR...She hasn't really added anything to any of the current story lines as far as I can tell 😠👎.
Agreed! Not a big Summer fan, the actress is fine, but Hunter Kings version was a more multi dimensional , which imho is needed here.

I believe March is Mental Health Awareness month. Y & R seems to make sure to offer a help hotline. As well, attempt to remove the stigma, fear, and embarrassment of those of us who may be afraid to come forward. For multiple, possible, reasons surrounding this issue, for yrs now. Which we know leads to suicidal, suffering alone, breakdowns and many more results. I, actually, commend them for addressing this matter and offering age ranges and scenarios. Then at the end of the episodes, speaking the reasons for addressing these issues and offer help & hope❤.
I'm sorry, but I'm sick of Claire. The actress is fine, but I'm tired of JG shoving Claire down my throat. I might actually like her character if they didn't show her every day. I couldn't really care less about her character. And I don't blame ANYONE for being suspicious of her. She's done some awful things, brainwashed or not. If they're giving her a break, they should give Adam one, too.
Looks like the writers are determined to use her presence to reborn the Newman bunch as the most delightful, kind, loving, gracious & let's not forget forgiving family, that's ever been around. Yeah right, just ask Adam for starters😂

I didn't like Summer's attitude about Claire after finding out about Claire. She acts like she was always good. And Nick also doesn't have any love for Claire but is too cowardly to express this in front of Victoria. Those people in Genoa City are such hypocrites.

Curious about where they’re going to go with the Summer, Kyle, Harrison, and Claire, situation. I’m here for it, for now.
First off Summer is jealous of Claire because Harrison likes being with her. I betcha Kyle will be attracted to Claire & they'll soon be involved, then Summers jealousy will get in the way of her relationship with Chance.
They might change her birthday to fit the story like they do others or, perhaps it is not Claire's party. Claire might be there to celebrate someone else's birthday within her new family.

Belinda I have been thinking maybe the writer is choosing to go against the “trends”. Considering he has done so with the “February Sweeps” and now the “Mental Awareness Month“ that you spoke of to be in May, not March. This is something I immediately thought to be true following the writer’s (s)lack during the most prominent month for network tv!
This could be why he is burning up the storyline after-the-network trend! After all, he knew everyone would be peaked to see what would possibly happen during the sweeps, so why not keep the attention/intrigue to follow in an unexpected timeline? He is smart!
Has Claire applied for the job? Did I miss something? Did she interview for the position? Are Summer & Kyle being presumptive?

Kyle and Summer were awarded joint custody by a judge in New York. Tara was incarcerated for skimming money off the top of her own company. Kyle and Summer were to take Harrison to visit Tara, his Mother. There has never been a mention of Harrison getting to see his Mother again. That is because the writers of the show are horrible people who love to forget or rewrite history. And also, Abbotts are terrible people who despise each other. Kyle is the worst of the litter. Because they are rich and powerful they were able to steal Harrison from his true birth Mother.

i know they want to bring awareness to mental health but why so many characters at same time?ashley and jordan psychos, connor ocd, nikki strong one minute and wacko the next craving a drink. phillis is acting like a spoiled 12 yr old. and poor claire. overload!

The narrative on the Y&R feels so repetitive these days. It's almost like for their encore approach to their 50 yr anniversary the writers are trying to redo all old story lines. If its not Nikki hitting the bottle or Ashley revisiting her mental illness it the newman's getting kidnapped (although I liked the whole kidnapping/Claire storyline) like Lauren did so many years before. I think Y&R is going to need an infusion of creativity in their writing department if they intend to make it another 50 years!
