Yeah, I think they did it knowing full well that it would not be well received, but they did it anyway to see how big the backlash would be for the future. And if the backlash was not that big, they would just make it permanent. Still, despite all of this, this is still the most free-to-play, friendly gacha game I have seen so far.
This kind of response is paramount in this kind of game. They WOULD have made it permanent if not for the harsh reaction.
We have ZERO objective ways of knowing if it was their plan all along to have a one off or a retraction due to our reaction. So you are basically spreading something without an hint of proof , which is strange. I'm still glad we complained , eliminating the possibility. Plus I'm 100% sure I would not have received a couple of ancient by mail as a compensation (that part was obv not the plan !) . But saying they were trying to see if we react , while possible , can not be stated so liberally as facts , that's very bad PR for us as a community on your side !
Still shady that they have tried it, we have lost out on some ancients but happy the community stood together as one!

I hope they do increase point requirements perm and apply to others like tales of the smith because 6000pts too low and we want more rewards. Keep 12k points for additional rewards with an ancients still at the 6k mark
They only remove Ancients during the most anticipated Ancient summoning banner of all time when those pulls matter most. I don't see how that helps.

Something a lot of people seem to misunderstand or overlook is the following:
As F2P you do not have much options of getting ancient summons and since ingame there was no announcement or hint of the sudden change and knowing that there are companies like Plarium, there is a very high chance, that this will become the "new standard" - and to explain afterwards is not enough - as being proven here. From out perspective it looked like they are taking this away without informing us [again ...]. And that is a very big deal for players whose only source was this event [the summon-events are not possible for everyone].
And if they are keep doing this that way [without notice before doing stuff that negatively effects a lot players], the reaction will remain the same until more and more player are just leaving, because they have lost every trust in the game ...
I do not like to complain, and frankly I do not even see myself in the right to do so - I do not pay for this game, so just being able to play it for free is already great; but I see myself in the position to utter concerns - if they are ultimately unreasonable in the end, even better - At the moment I do have trust in Moonton, there support is always very quick and fiendly and very often the issues being addressed resolved very quickly - but not everyone is this patient.

Brave conquest isnt the only place u can get them from unless youre early game maybe. Even if they removed them permantly ud eventually would be able to get them in other ways. Just like the rest of us who have been playing since launch.
@@alteregotje2491 Of course; my wording was a bit wrong then - to say it differently - the easiest and most rewarding way to get ancients. I know, there are other events where you can them as well getting 2 every month by signing in as well getting some through the codex every month. But the brave conquest is [from my point of view] the easiest, that everyone can get them without much effort [and that was the point I was trying to make]; but yes, you are right with that - there are a few ways to get them and you will get even more later on

It's sad that they did it when people needed ancient shards the most. I'm sitting at 199 pity now as of this morning and the two extra would probably have been key. If they decide to apologize it will be too little too late as the preatus banner will be gone by the time they react. Good job to sour the 1 year anniversary which I had enjoyed until now.
I was gifted 2 ancient shards this morning from "Helga" (Moonton). You probably got them too.
1 time thing now, 1 time thing later in future and yes, u loose some ancients in cost of normal summons, so it should be loud right away to let them know its not okay
I wasn't too upset about the change, but it was suspicious. But thanks to those rare crystals, I did get Hattsut from Nascent summons. 👍
I was on at reset and the next brave conquest had the same card art of dust and rare crystal and no joke 30 mins later it was changed to show the ancient
I get what they were going for, but they should have sent a mail note stating the reasons why... A legendary skill crystal instead of one of those 50x skill dusts would have been a nice touch as well...
It was due to the backlash, they were quickly to reverse it. Bad timing, as everyone... Who didn't have a pope.. Wanted him and the brave conquest withdrawal of ancients... Would set everyone off for a valid reason. It's a once a year situation and knowing, how the fat man is game breaking and changing for any account is one sensitive weekend. While, I didn't pull the pope, I was happy to pick up Cyrus, Uredin, and a1 Venoma from 54 ancients. I know, not everyone is discipline in saving shards. It seems for my account, saving 50 ancients, has been the magic number.
An hour or 2 hours before the release of your video it was still legendary dust as main rewards 😅
But I am happy that they didn't deprive us from free ancients

Poor timing on the change with pope banner, but 2 ancients in my mailbox was an awesome response.
That's pretty cool of them to send us the 2 ancients directly in the mail. They are really open about our comments. Maybe we don't have to freak out as much...

Honestly I was very upset. This would have really made a difference between f2p/budget players vs the big spenders for the ancient summons.
I hope this is a 1 time thing because I saved up a measly 38 ancient summon crystals in the 60 days that I’ve been playing. And I did not pull a praetus lol
moonton gave our 2 ancients in mailbox and next week our ancients are back in brave conquest maybe i over reacted altho it did seem weird to a point shady but with a quick fix from moonton and listening to the community this is a company i can stand behind PS moonton its not that we dont like change just be transperent with the the community and CC alike

This is false. If you check in the events tab, among the rewards of the next Brave Conquest there're no Ancients. Only blues are shown.
When I checked just now, there is an AS in the events tab.

Or, to play devil's advcate, they removed them so people would spend more pope and jeera.
Sounds like a backpedal cos people were annoyed, they could have just added extra blue summons and not removed the ancients
So they decided to "help" us giving us a few extra blues for 1+1 and nascent by taking away 2 ancients and a chance at Praetus....? Riiiiiiight....
For those that defended Moonton please, do not use your 2 Ancient summons they gave you. ;)

If they wanted to make it for this weekend...just add more on the bracket and increase the point cap as they did. They mainly removed the ancients is the fact itll give people a chance for preatus banner. Raid has done this 😂

So there's one of 2 ways this went.
1 they never intended to make it a permanent change. Giving people a better chance at the Blue events. (yes reds are better).
2. They LISTENED to the community and RESPONDED in favor of their players.
Either way you get to decide how negative and pessimistic you're going to be in life.
Now raid deserves ALL of that negative response they get.
But that's a well deserved reputation, Moonton has always experimented and listed to feedback from what I've seen.
Sounds like a lie to me. They just decided to check, if the community "swallows" they will leave it like that, and if not, they will write that it was just for the event made.....
Finally someone level headed that doesn't cry murder and actually talks things out.

I have to say, this is an in game event! Nothing is promised. This is not a nerv to some hero which we paid for, this is literally free. You can see rewards adjustment for regular events in any other game. If the game company keep doing negative adjustments to rewards I will just quit, there is nothing to argue for such contents. I believe they have the right to adjust something which is free from the very beginning. And meanwhile, we have the right to choose if we still want to play this game.
We should complain more.... Remember when they gave us a divine fore free every Tuesday? Give them back lol XD

If there was no outrage it would be a bad precedent to set. Also reactions like this show how passionate the players are, which is an indication about the investment of players in the game. So a Non-Reaction would be a bigger warning sign for the game
Are you kidding me? When I saw it at about 12:12 am, the reward was not ancient summon. They changed it back to ancient summon at about 12:30. Do you really believe this is a special version lmao!!!!
They have the intention to keep promoting this new reward table. If you don’t believe it, just wait and see whether it will take 6,000 points to get the full reward next time or 12,000 points
Explain my ass, giving away 2 measly ancients was too much for them on Strongest hero in the game banner.

As more i play i see same shit like in Raid shit legends..it seems to me best thing is to quit these so called games!
They also shadow buffed our oddessy experience. It used to be 2 ancient gear pieces farmed by gear raid 1 and they turned it into 1 ancient gear piece needed to farm from any gear raid. I agree that credit do should be given, shared and acknowledged.
