None of the navy issue BB made the cut? Surprising. They often have just enough extra to their parent design to be really effective. Also, no potato? The Dominix is my go-to for PVE stuff and missions, because of ease of use. Show up, drop MTU, hit the jump drive to gain distance, stop, launch sentries, get a snack, target stuff with the drones, use the rails if target is hard, and clean up everything with salvage drones. So easy.
Hey mate! I had a hard time deciding between the Raven and her Navy Issue sister ship, but i went for the standard because of the price. I think that if you afford the Raven Navy, considering the price difference and the overall performance, you would be better in a Rattlesnake. But that's simply my opinion, so i might as well be wrong. As for the Dominix, it's one of my favorite ships, as you said it so well, drop sentries, maybe use a dual rep for extra safety and enjoy the killing spree! Thanks for the feedback!

And yes, I still think that in the long run, you are better investing in, let's say, a Rattle that in a Navy Raven, for example. I for once, wouldn't go to a Navy Raven if i had the isk for it and if i were in a normal Raven, i'd simply keep doing that same thing until I can afford the Rattle 🤣🤣🤣
@roboparks again you are right. But what I have learned is that in high-sec at least, having a *Navy* in front of your ship's model not only increases it's stats, but also adds a bigger target on you. Hence, I say that i think you are better in the standard ship! 🤣🤣🤣

Nice video and good work but I think it is necessary to say Top 5 BS for "what kind of use" I guess. From a PVP point of view the list would be very different I guess as f.e. for Ratting. My #1 Ship in all of EVE is the Nightmare and I am more into PVP. Rattlesnake for Ratting is great or even a Praxis due to it's versatility. Just sayin, but keep up the good work!

My honorable mentions : Hyperion : "The king of battleships" Very powerfum in pvp, it can do miracles even in 1v2+ battleship battles. It's often forgotten because of the Dominix's PVE capabilities and the Megathron's versatility, but don't be fooled, the Hyperion is very, very powerful. Praxis : "The swiss army knife" Despite being a jack of all trades, and boy can it do anything, the Praxis is just as powerful as any t1 battleship. It can be fitted for ANYTHING, from mining to smartbombs, without mentionning it being able to fit any weapon type, and it's immense cargo bay makes it the king of using cap boosters. It also features an enormous drone bay, as much mid slots as low slots making it as capable of shield or armor tanking or even hull tank, even resistances leaving no gaps to be exploited. The praxis is often not a desirable target because you don't know what it fits, and if it decides to carry a mobile depot you can refit on the fly to select the best weapon for the situation before engaging the ennemy. Not to mention that the Praxis has no skill requirement meaning it is the best option for a newer battleship player, being able to focus their skills on weaponery and tank, and it being on the cheaper end of battleships only helps that.
You're 💯right about the Praxis, is one of the most versatile battleships, if not SHIPS alltogeter in EVE. I often see people ratting in them in NS, since it packs a decent tank and hits with a high enough DPS to be practical, not to mention what you already said, the drone band and cargo that allows it to drop 4 heavies or sentries for extra damage. I can't say muc about the Hyperion though, don't get to fly it as much as i would like, but i will consider what you said and give it a try. As a nice bonus, it looks quite awsome! 😁😁😁

Yeah, you're 💯 right, it's hard to compare them. But I included what I considered to be the best T1s. First thought was to go with marauders instead of the T1s, but then again , they are quite superior to the faction bs, just as the factions are superior to the T1s! 🤣🤣🤣

weird video. first off, theres no such thing as "best" battleships because its down to what you need, and what you fighting. that said, you cant have a top 5 list without even mention the devestation a bhaalgorn or 2 can do on the battleground, and how fast they can suck dry any ships of cap in short amount of time, and a must have if you planning to fight marauders and their likes. another ship that known to be good to use for station bashing are the leshaks, but because of their really good abilities in spider tanking and strong rep capabilities, i allso think they severly underrated by many in normal pvp situations aswell. theres allso the entire marauder class thats worth mention

All the ships you have mentioned are great ships, the only problem i'm seeing is that their use is highly circumstantial. As i said before, the marauders are awesome ships with incredible offense, defense and range, but i did not include T2 battleships because i wanted to go for something a bit more mainstream, that doesn't require so much training time. As for the Leshak, again, great dps, especially if they get to spool up and you're stationary (u're right abaout station bashing, there's no better ship for that), but if you simply get out of range, they have to restart the whole process, so that's why i didn't include them. As for the Bhaalgorn, that's one of the ships i like to fly the most, I was actually sad when the Imperium sacked that doctrine, but again, higly circumstantial use: yes, a fleet of them can suck dry anything, but they have to get pretty close for confort to be able to do that! A nice video (and a sub), but to echo others, I don't buy into the whole Top 5 lists, and judging by your feedback to others I think your coming to the same conclusion, while it might suit the algorithm, it might come across as a bit click bait. In EVE, you can make anything work, and every fit is personal. Take me, I am Amarr player, who is deeply interested in the potential of capacitor warfare. Of course that's mostly useless in PVE, but in the PVP environment the Dragoon, Sentinel, Arbitrator, Curse/Pilgrim, Legion and the Armageddon are excellent ships, while the Blood Raiders and Triglavian offer some truly terrifying options, with the Bhaalgorn , in the right hands of course, being a devastating weapon and king in cap warfare, especially to logistic ships in fleets. I know this is a young channel, but a real niche would be a series of ship reviews and in depth analysis on different aspects of EVE, like the difference between a ratting/mission running fit, or fleet PVP and solo fitting, rather than a top 5 or 10.I play solo PVP, so my requirement is different to somebody who plays in incursions, and others who are focused on mission running and ratting. Finally please don't do what a well known You Tuber does and dismiss ships because of the colour!

It wasn't supposed to be a *THE BEST* battleships list, but simply what I consider to be *MY BEST* list, as i said it quite a few times, both in the video and in the comments.🙃🙃🙃 You are absolutely 💯 right that in EVE, the best is relative to everyone's play style and preferences! As for the color, trust me, it wasn't intentional. I really love the golden hulls of Amarr ships (in fact, i really think the Empire has the best-looking ships that actually look like ships and use the best color schemes for their ships). I fly all 3 standard battleships quite often, and I'm kind of sad that The Imperium scraped the Apocs and Apocs Navy doctrine for TFIs 😔😔😔. The Navy Apoc would've been a great ship for this top, but I went for the Megathron instead, which I consider a bit more mainstream. The Bhaalgorn again is an awesome ship, but I consider it's use to be highly circumstantial. Thanks for all the advice. Lots of issues with your list dude. You say "Top 5 battleships"...top at what? No one ship is good at everything, far from it in fact. You have 3 hyper-pricy faction battleships which you mention are good at fleet operations which is ASTOUNDINGLY wrong. "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose", large scale fleets do NOT use faction battleships because of cost. You mention 2 missile ships also viable for fleet combat...also astoundingly wrong at least for large fleet combat at long range, missile flight time is just too slow for good response time, most large fleets go for turret ships. The Rattlesnake, Machariel and Raven are good for PvE combat (so is the Caldary Navy Scorpion, unless they changed its setup away from missile + shield tanking), the Nightmare and Machariel are good for PvE and small-squad PvP wolfpacks. The Megathron is the only one actually frequently seen in large scale fleet combat.

I remember the Imperium using a Mach fleet for quite some time until recently, then a Bhaalgorn fleet (not as expensive as other faction BS though) and now TFI fleets are regular. Also, TEST used Nightmare fleets on a regular basis during WWB2, and now, even Frat has started using them. Yes, the golden rule is "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose", that's why most alliances have SRP! Also, missile bs fleets are regular. Did you know that Init has a Raven doctrine? Lol, it killed Fort Knox with it. The Imperium again had a Typhoon fleet for some time. Yes, I agree with you. Of all the weapon types, missiles have the worst application unless you are quite stationary. So, except the Rattlesnake, most of those ships actually are part of regular fleets in null-sec wars! And again, I agree with you, turrets are the weapons to have, especially large rails after last week's buff, but still, facts are facts! Again, thanks for the feedback, and see you around ✌️✌️✌️
Hey! Usually dreadnoughts (or simply called dreads) are a class of ships superior to the battleships in terms of armament and armor. So they can be considered something like upgraded battleships with higher damage output and better protection. In game, the dreads are a class of CAPITAL ships (along with the carriers, they are the 1st and smallest capital ships in terms of size), compared to the battleships that are the biggest SUB-CAPITAL class of ships! They can use capital weapons, while the battleships can only use large weapons, and are equiped with jump engines, which allow them to bypass stargates and jump directly into systems that are in range and are not jammed. Also, they can equip a special module called a Siege Module (only available to dreads) that vastly increases their damage output, but at the cost of making them stationary, unable to move, warp or jump while active. Recently, the tech 2 dreads were introduced, along with the ability to use AoE Doomsday devices, not unlike those used by Titans. Hope this helps you and clarifies a few things! 😁😁😁

That's a nice fit with an insane ammount of tank! Also it doesn't come cheap at all with the deadspace / faction modules, but ISK can be made quite fast. I will be sure to give this fit a try one of these days, when i get to play a bit more. I mostly use faction cruise missiles in combination with warden sentries on my Rattle for L4 missions (play most of the time in Caldari space so Guristas are the most common rats there) since i like to snipe them 80+ km away. :)))
And they would've been on the list if their DPS would be less circumstantial and so higly dependent on range and keeping at that range for a long time to spool up. They are some awesome ships with insane stats but so easy to kite around! But that's only my opinion xD

But i still think that it is a highly circumstantial ship, maybe the most range dependent ship in game, making it quite easy to kite and escape it's insane damage output!
Oooooooooh-key. First off, EvE Online is a "rock, paper, scissors" type game. There is no "ultimate" ship. Each one of these ships can just be flat out deleted with the right response. I see capital class ships just get melted from 20 man bomber gangs. Dronelands need NPC space by the way. There should be no "safe space" from a hot drop in null sec. Pandemic Horde can just suck it if they want to run and hide from Goonswarm and stay the in farthest space they can like the little bitches they are. Second, skill points and ISK do not make the pilot. Piloting makes the pilot. There are people out there who are just flying nightmare fuel for Marauders while in frigates and destroyers. Those who know how to get under your guns and hold you down for a fleet to come in and relinquish you of your ship. Looking at you, Hello Kitty :-> Third, never fly what you don't want to lose. Explosions are pretty and you don't learn to pilot by spinning in station.

Hey mate! That's an interesting ship there. I actually considered the Barghest for a bit, it's a damn good ship with some nice stats and really strong bonuses. But sadly, hardly anyone uses it nowadays, except for AT and some excentric people in low sec!

Hello! Yes didn't go into T2 battleships since they require a lot of skill training and I think their use is highly circumstantial! You rarely see fleets of marauders, unless it's ESS intrusions, but u still see Nightmare and Machariel fleets! Yes, these are some of the most expensive battleships, but I wanted something more mainstream (if u can call it that), something that is easier to fly without a lot of training! Imo you should have divided the video in 2 sections, like PVE and PVP and eventually more specific kind of content :). And still faction BS aint so common even during wars, unless very specific operations are going on :3. None like to pop a 2-3 bils faction ship 🤣🤣mine isnt a critic btw just a constructive critic from my point of view :D
😅 Marauders get hunted for sport, there's whole fleets that sit and wait for someone to PvE with one. Not a fun time, maybe good in a blob or group, but never solo with one. Same with the paladin, fantastic PvE ship, but you're going to get shot at by whalers.

Pirate Battleships are just superior. Since t2 BS are used for Black ops. So it's hard to compare a T1 vs a Pirate BS.

As for the Bhaalgorn, that's one of the ships i like to fly the most, I was actually sad when the Imperium sacked that doctrine, but again, higly circumstantial use: yes, a fleet of them can suck dry anything, but they have to get pretty close for confort to be able to do that!

As for the video itself - an informative and useful overview. Given that I'm interested in delving deeper into battleship options myself (having only used the Praxis and a Dominix Navy Issue), I'm glad I stumbled upon this video.

@@gamings_room I've recently recovered my Typhoon, which was stuck in low sec for ~4 years, and that's why I was looking at other BS options, given the fit I was able to come up with wasn't really significantly better for PvE than what my two Praxis already offer.

I'm not quite sure how it is prononced yet. In game Discord or Mumble it is pronounced in so many ways that i can't make up my mind 🤣🤣🤣. Same as with the Gila, i heared people pronounce the name of that ship in at least 3 ways, lol

A nice video (and a sub), but to echo others, I don't buy into the whole Top 5 lists, and judging by your feedback to others I think your coming to the same conclusion, while it might suit the algorithm, it might come across as a bit click bait. In EVE, you can make anything work, and every fit is personal.
Take me, I am Amarr player, who is deeply interested in the potential of capacitor warfare. Of course that's mostly useless in PVE, but in the PVP environment the Dragoon, Sentinel, Arbitrator, Curse/Pilgrim, Legion and the Armageddon are excellent ships, while the Blood Raiders and Triglavian offer some truly terrifying options, with the Bhaalgorn , in the right hands of course, being a devastating weapon and king in cap warfare, especially to logistic ships in fleets.
I know this is a young channel, but a real niche would be a series of ship reviews and in depth analysis on different aspects of EVE, like the difference between a ratting/mission running fit, or fleet PVP and solo fitting, rather than a top 5 or 10.I play solo PVP, so my requirement is different to somebody who plays in incursions, and others who are focused on mission running and ratting.
Finally please don't do what a well known You Tuber does and dismiss ships because of the colour!

Yes, I'm starting to realize that the title might be a bit misleading. It wasn't supposed to be a *THE BEST* battleships list, but simply what I consider to be *MY BEST* list, as i said it quite a few times, both in the video and in the comments.🙃🙃🙃
You are absolutely 💯 right that in EVE, the best is relative to everyone's play style and preferences!
As for the color, trust me, it wasn't intentional. I really love the golden hulls of Amarr ships (in fact, i really think the Empire has the best-looking ships that actually look like ships and use the best color schemes for their ships). I fly all 3 standard battleships quite often, and I'm kind of sad that The Imperium scraped the Apocs and Apocs Navy doctrine for TFIs 😔😔😔. The Navy Apoc would've been a great ship for this top, but I went for the Megathron instead, which I consider a bit more mainstream. The Bhaalgorn again is an awesome ship, but I consider it's use to be highly circumstantial.

Lots of issues with your list dude. You say "Top 5 battleships"...top at what? No one ship is good at everything, far from it in fact. You have 3 hyper-pricy faction battleships which you mention are good at fleet operations which is ASTOUNDINGLY wrong. "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose", large scale fleets do NOT use faction battleships because of cost. You mention 2 missile ships also viable for fleet combat...also astoundingly wrong at least for large fleet combat at long range, missile flight time is just too slow for good response time, most large fleets go for turret ships.
The Rattlesnake, Machariel and Raven are good for PvE combat (so is the Caldary Navy Scorpion, unless they changed its setup away from missile + shield tanking), the Nightmare and Machariel are good for PvE and small-squad PvP wolfpacks. The Megathron is the only one actually frequently seen in large scale fleet combat.

I remember the Imperium using a Mach fleet for quite some time until recently, then a Bhaalgorn fleet (not as expensive as other faction BS though) and now TFI fleets are regular. Also, TEST used Nightmare fleets on a regular basis during WWB2, and now, even Frat has started using them. Yes, the golden rule is "Don't fly what you can't afford to lose", that's why most alliances have SRP! Also, missile bs fleets are regular. Did you know that Init has a Raven doctrine? Lol, it killed Fort Knox with it. The Imperium again had a Typhoon fleet for some time. Yes, I agree with you. Of all the weapon types, missiles have the worst application unless you are quite stationary. So, except the Rattlesnake, most of those ships actually are part of regular fleets in null-sec wars! And again, I agree with you, turrets are the weapons to have, especially large rails after last week's buff, but still, facts are facts!

Hey! Usually dreadnoughts (or simply called dreads) are a class of ships superior to the battleships in terms of armament and armor. So they can be considered something like upgraded battleships with higher damage output and better protection.
In game, the dreads are a class of CAPITAL ships (along with the carriers, they are the 1st and smallest capital ships in terms of size), compared to the battleships that are the biggest SUB-CAPITAL class of ships! They can use capital weapons, while the battleships can only use large weapons, and are equiped with jump engines, which allow them to bypass stargates and jump directly into systems that are in range and are not jammed. Also, they can equip a special module called a Siege Module (only available to dreads) that vastly increases their damage output, but at the cost of making them stationary, unable to move, warp or jump while active. Recently, the tech 2 dreads were introduced, along with the ability to use AoE Doomsday devices, not unlike those used by Titans.

That's a nice fit with an insane ammount of tank! Also it doesn't come cheap at all with the deadspace / faction modules, but ISK can be made quite fast. I will be sure to give this fit a try one of these days, when i get to play a bit more.
I mostly use faction cruise missiles in combination with warden sentries on my Rattle for L4 missions (play most of the time in Caldari space so Guristas are the most common rats there) since i like to snipe them 80+ km away. :)))

And they would've been on the list if their DPS would be less circumstantial and so higly dependent on range and keeping at that range for a long time to spool up. They are some awesome ships with insane stats but so easy to kite around! But that's only my opinion xD

As for the Leshak, i love the damn thing, it has some insane DPS, armor and logistics stats, and i thought for a long time about adding it to the list. But i still think that it is a highly circumstantial ship, maybe the most range dependent ship in game, making it quite easy to kite and escape it's insane damage output!
Oooooooooh-key. First off, EvE Online is a "rock, paper, scissors" type game. There is no "ultimate" ship. Each one of these ships can just be flat out deleted with the right response. I see capital class ships just get melted from 20 man bomber gangs. Dronelands need NPC space by the way. There should be no "safe space" from a hot drop in null sec. Pandemic Horde can just suck it if they want to run and hide from Goonswarm and stay the in farthest space they can like the little bitches they are.
Second, skill points and ISK do not make the pilot. Piloting makes the pilot. There are people out there who are just flying nightmare fuel for Marauders while in frigates and destroyers. Those who know how to get under your guns and hold you down for a fleet to come in and relinquish you of your ship. Looking at you, Hello Kitty :->
Third, never fly what you don't want to lose. Explosions are pretty and you don't learn to pilot by spinning in station.

Hey mate! That's an interesting ship there. I actually considered the Barghest for a bit, it's a damn good ship with some nice stats and really strong bonuses. But sadly, hardly anyone uses it nowadays, except for AT and some excentric people in low sec!

Hello! Yes didn't go into T2 battleships since they require a lot of skill training and I think their use is highly circumstantial! You rarely see fleets of marauders, unless it's ESS intrusions, but u still see Nightmare and Machariel fleets! Yes, these are some of the most expensive battleships, but I wanted something more mainstream (if u can call it that), something that is easier to fly without a lot of training!

@@gamings_room yeah you right but if someone fly a faction BS, rarely it will fly it with low skills or early modules so he probably can already fly a marauder. Imo you should have divided the video in 2 sections, like PVE and PVP and eventually more specific kind of content :). And still faction BS aint so common even during wars, unless very specific operations are going on :3. None like to pop a 2-3 bils faction ship 🤣🤣mine isnt a critic btw just a constructive critic from my point of view :D

Not a fun time, maybe good in a blob or group, but never solo with one.
Same with the paladin, fantastic PvE ship, but you're going to get shot at by whalers.
