My admiration for Jim's talent continues to grow. He had a beautiful voice and gave it free range. He certainly has beat most of our new talent which isn't really country. This is the real thing! Bless you Jim and your brothers. R.I.P.
I've just discovered the Glasers. They were incredibly good. Smoothest country singers ever. Now they're gone, such a shame. Maybe they were born again and I'll get to hear them forever. I truly don't think I'd ever get tired of their talent.
Jim was one of the greatest singers ever with his brothers and solo! He was also a very cordial man. I ran across his email one day and I sent him a message not expecting a response. In less than a day I got a real surprise. Not only did he respond, but he answered all my questions. I told him most artist aren't as kind to their fans and his response was "Fans made me who I am. I"m nothing without them." What a heart! We kept in touch until his passing....what a sad day! RIP Jim.❤
Fabulous ! When I listen to country music from this era , I realise what we are missing .......it almost feels like a bereavement and very emotional because I know we will never see its like again.
Thanks for posting this. When I was a child I wore out 2 records playing them over and over--El Paso and A White Sport Coat and a Pink Carnation. Marty Robbins was and still is my favorite singer.
I grew up listening to the brothers and in my little girl imagination I was going to grow up and marry him. I never got to meet Jim but I've visited his resting place numerous times
AND he always put his heart into his performance. He connected with you in such a special way and made you feel like he was living the song. Amazing voice and amazing talent.
kandybcat I was Jim's classmate also. He had the most beautiful high tenor voice. I sent a message prior to this. He sang in our glee Club and Choir. What is your high school name?
I know so many of these old country songs as my Dad and his friends would get together, play their various instruments, and sing, all of these oldies!! Love this!! ❤️🌹🇨🇦🌹❤️
suehubsinger you are so wonderful to put all the Glaser videos WE were privileged to attend two of their concerts and then are the greatest of great in this music genre Jim Martin

Is he one of those Brothers who sing A White Sport Coat, Just Married, The Hanging Tree and The Story of My Life with Marty Robbins at the TOWN HALL PARTY?
Yes, Jim and Tompall along with Joe Babcock (who was filling in for brother Chuck who was in the Army) were Marty Robbins' backup group...They appear on those videos on the Town Hall Party...
Real country music. Where has it gone? Unfortunately we’ll never see the likes of this music or the artist that performed it. The only music the new artist perform is country rock and screaming. So sad they refer to themselves as country music artist. What a joke!
As much as I love Jim Glaser he missed an entire verse of the song here.Time constraints maybe why but then why choose a 7 minute song for a 5 minute segment. I would have loved to hear his entire version. It through me off and I had to shake my head…..I’m missing something here…..
Thats a great rendition by Mr Glaser, awesome voice and a touching tribute to the late great Marty Robbins.
Jim and his brothers was Marty's backup. Jim sang all the high notes. Robby Robin's shared that on country family reunion.
This guy was really underrated!!
Absolutely!
The Glaser Brothers were all underrated. Tom Paul had one of the most beautiful voices and Jim has one of the best tenor voices.
I heard him start singing and if I couldn't see who it was singing I would've definitely had thought it was Marty Robbins. He sounds so much like him.
Yes. I would have bet that was Marty singing. The Glaser brothers were talented.😊

How beautiful, I just can’t listen to this enough!
Marty Robbins is one of the toughest talents to try and cover, but ol Jim sure did him proud!
Will never see or hear talent like this again just my opinion
True country music nothing like the so called country nowadays.
Awesome- Marty would be proud!!!!

Nice to find these videos of real country music. Some of the best singers hands down!
Fabulous ! When I listen to country music from this era , I realise what we are missing .......it almost feels like a bereavement and very emotional because I know we will never see its like again.
Jim's voice is like watching peaceful clouds coast over a solemn, sad river.. against a bright, blue sky..
When I first heard him on the radio singing "If I could only dance with you" I would have bet anything it was Marty Robbins

Jim's resting place? And just where would that be?
I knew Jim personally as a classmate
He had the most clear beautiful high tenor voice I ever heard.

Beautiful song and voice thank you ❤
Magnificent vocals. RIP Sir.
A wonderful tribute to a Super Star by another Super Star.
My favorite singers since I was a teenager and
Probably no need to remind people that Jim, along with Bobby Sykes sang harmony on Marty's classic masterpiece 'El Paso.'
Absolutely - and, actually, a lot of folks don't know that. Fantastic duo behind Marty
Just beautiful. Love this.

He’s great and real in march 2023.
Awesome !
GREAT
I have always though that Jim and Marty's voices were so much naturally alike.
WOW !!!
And i love the great Nova Scotian Canadian backup 😂
For me this Jim Gläser version is BETTER than the Marty Robbins version

@@suehunsinger I recognised him by his face and now I found out that it was really him👍
@@suehunsinger is he still alive or?
Sadly, Jim passed on in 2019 at his home from a heart attack...
He was 81 and was still performing...
Damn! Sounds like Marty
He's not the Great Marty Robbins but he comes closer than any I know. Excellent and a great singer in his own right.
Do you know why he’s singing Marty songs?

He ruined the ending, It’s Feleena not Fullina Falina.
Beautiful song and voice thank you ❤
