Being a kid in the back of this with your own tv and moving seat going on a road trip must feel like paradise
This is the first luxury MPV I would consider cool and not tacky.
The Honda Odyssey is very cool too
It;s not@@wallbangerzsports
What about the Mazda 5?
the first gen toyota estima was very cool, but probably not the last word in luxury.
@@blobba5442
Did you hear the cases that strike Toyota about falsifying testing data??
I heard some of its higher degree board member decided to retire from the company after the cases was put in court.
I had an Xpeng shipped to Matamoros and got it plated with Tamaulipas plates. One of the guys helping drove it to Brownsville TX and I picked it up at a hotel. Loaded it onto a car carrier I had waiting and got it to my home state. That was 9 months ago and it's been one of my favorite vehicles, I drive it every day. I should have waited for the X9 but was too impatient
damn you pulled out all the stops to get your hands on a Xpengin the US
Can you share a video of you using the xpeng p7 in the US?
Really? Are the instrument and center screen in Chinese?
How much did it cost you to get it?
Toyota's Alphard and other Japanese or Korean 7 Seater SUVs looks like last century compared to X9. Congrats to Xpeng
Because all they do is focus on the not so SUV styled cross-over cars.
I can tell you a Mazda 5 looks more modern than most newer MPVs.
@@Arutemysu However, Mazda's sales in China are poor, and there have even been rumors of the company considering exiting the Chinese market. The sales of all Mazda models combined are not as high as the sales of a single model from Geely or Volkswagen. Is this because all 1.4 billion Chinese people have aesthetic issues? I believe that's not the case.
@@timh3365
Europeans aesthetics are more in line with Chinese's.
I don't know why but it seems to me everything Europeans are more accepted by Chinese than others.
@@pedrorashidi8575 because japanese cars are cheapsht

Looks beautiful. Never seen such a cool looking family van
I feel like chinese manufacturers are 20 years ahead of us. This van is definitely checking all the boxes.
US government should open up and welcome competition. It makes cars cheaper and better.
no allow😒😒😒😒😒@@yeetian2774
Why? Its all funded by the communist regime of China. It’s the biggest threat for western car manufacturers.. the quality is still very uncertain. Look how many Chinese ev’s catch fire out of nowhere! Look it up!
@@yeetian2774US is ruled by overly rich people who don't mind to pay 2 million for a Rolls-Royce.
in the past 15 years. the west looks for oil. while china looks for nickel, cobalt ,
This needs to be sold in the USA 🇺🇸 I want to buy one...best MPV! Better than any SUV
Not under Sleepy Joe's watch!
The US said it would impose a 100% tariff. Even with a 100% tariff, it would be difficult to sell.
@@kkyap3316 American cars have been mediocre for decades, and the US govt knows it. It's why they always try and kneecap foreign competition with things like the Chicken Tax. Be it the Japanese, the Germans, or the Koreans, other countries find their way in eventually. I have no doubt that some of these cool Chinese cars will make it to the US in some form someday, though not soon enough.
@@chongkt6469 Yes because Xpeng and other Chinese EV companies are financed/owen by the Chinese Government. They also are junk and catch on fire. Good for Biden to stop this. You're a paid Chinese Propagandist.
Looks like the perfect weapon for moving a family around in speed and style. No parking space or garage in the UK could hold its impressive massivity however.
This body shape in a smaller package instead of the space-wasting 'SUV' would be a real step forward for us in the UK and Europe.
Its already here in Citroen c4 Spacetourer which is being discontinued because of low denand
There isn't an EV version of that car otherwise I'd get one @@alextaxi2593
When I first saw it, I thought it was a new car from a French company. It looks fashionable and modern. This is another step forward for cars from China.
Indeed, it has the Citroen C4 vibe
Xpeng makes some really good looking cars. Absolutely love the design of Xpeng! Hopefully they quick have a dealer in my country (Belgium) so I can take a look at those amazing cars in person!
There's a few in the Netherlands, I am surprised Belgium is that late.
@@Arutemysu late? Norway and NL are the first two in EU. Not others so far as far as I know
back when the Tesla Model S and X were pretty much the whole EV market, I remember hearing that they were too big for streets in Europe. is that a real and relevant issue for the X9?
@@jazzper_nl still same thing counts, other countries are late.
@@stevenh4797 if I could I would buy the X9.
The thing with it "being too big" is rather annoying, I see at least Dodge Rams each day on the road, and I only drive like 50KM to work.
You think that the US doesn't allow companies like this to operate in our borders becuase of security concerns (and that may be a part of it) but honestly it's the value for money. These chinese companies would destroy the domestic market for the value you get!
Has absolutely nothing to do with security 😅.
If you can buy this in the US, Chrysler will have a hard time selling their Pacifica 😂
The Chinese automakers are so far ahead of anyone else in the world. Amazing!
it is a copy of a Lexus. And why don't you by a Chinese car?
@@hansb7020 -- I if could I would but the US doesn't allow competition.
@@mini_worx haha you mean USA increased import taxes because China refused to lower them for fair trading. :) It was actions by China that made USA block Chinese products well not really block but just make it not profitable to sell in USA.
@@mini_worx the us doesn’t allow competition, maybe because China still force car manufacturers to do a joint venture? In any case not even Chinese buy as many Chinese cars as Americans or Europeans
@@mini_worx anyways, the China crisis will take copy cars down.
Incredible, the best I've seen from Xpeng! Actually, the best looking family car I've seen yet!! I never got into SUVs or dreamt of having one. Great looking MPVs all the rage now in Southeast East Asia, great job by Xpeng!
Interior is done right. Only thing missing is retractable sun shades in windows. I'm never going to stop complaining about that.
What's this 'sun' thing I keep hearing about? Greetings from Scotland!
The only thing missing for me personally is money in my pocket
The X9 has what you want! It has both retractable sun shades for both the roof and the sliding doors.
@@bassereric Nice
@@basserericI have the sun shade in my SUV, never used. What’s the point?
Okay OKAY!!!! That rear seat push itself back into the deep trunk, was AMAZING. Honestly, this is the first MPV I wouldn't mind getting. It's style really makes it stand out, in a great way.
I scheduled a test drive of X9 in a few weeks with my local Xpeng store. I am already a Xpeng owner, but the store likes to call us back for new modal releases.
Happy with the Xpeng car you already drive?
Post a video of it then.
FINALLY an MPV with some unique style!
I LOVE how they combined suv and coupe style on this body this looks so refreshing!
That's a beautiful car exterior and interior is all beautiful
I'll Never need a car like that but glad to see Xpeng making another good card.
I’m always excited when new videos come out from your channel.
That's the first Chinese MPV styling that I really like! They did a great job on the front grill which is what usually throws me off.
This guy is a very articulate and excellent reviewer
Wow, this vehicle is really impressive. It looks very nice, and for such a huge car the balance in the design is just right. And it looks surprisingly good in white, because of all the contrasting black pieces. The interior looks nice too, and the rear seats are amazing. Not groundbreaking, but just really nice.
Here in Europe, the market for these vehicles is quite limited. You can buy an XPeng P5 and P7 here in The Netherlands, but I doubt that anyone would want to buy this enormous car here. Because of its luxury features it will get into Mercedes-Benz territory, and will be priced alike here. The P7 costs at least 50000 euros now, I expect a price of 80000-100000 euros for this X9. Still less expensive than a Mercedes, but people looking for cars in that market segment tend to buy German by default here in Europe...
No G9 in Netherlands?
@@hodgenhe I now see that the G9 is also available here, from 60000 euros.
Their cost is much lower now than P5/7 era. I bet it can sneak in under 70k starting.
Im surprised it even passed euro’s safety standards 😂
@@buggyman286 Have you been living under a rock? Chinese cars are the best in the world now. Passed EU standards with 5-star ratings.
Very impressive. Love all of the clever design options. China is coming on strong. Apart from Tesla, I don't see a serious US competitor anytime soon. Hope they are paying attention.
I loved the fact that the folding rear seats put a smile to my face.
This beat the Toyota Alphard and put it into shame...
Now is definitely NOT the time to be buying a car. Average car cost $47K?! That's insane!
Check your ego at the door - you need a vehicle to get back and forth to work, not to impress anyone. An auto finance rate of 7%+ is an insult to anyone with excellent credit. No thanks. Those new cars can sit on the lot and rot away for all I care.
I'm with you. I don't care how much it costs to keep my current cars running.
I'll drop new engines and trans if necessary I refuse to buy a new car.
Yeah, Im glad I keep seeing this message because I want a new car, but man these prices are crazy

China looks so clean and modern!
Yes. The air in the background looks so clean. I can see miles away. The city looks so beautiful. I wonder what it's like swimming in those waters? 🤣
The second and the third row are really amazing especially when you need more spaces in the third row. just one button.😮❤
Would buy this if sold in the US. Creativity is key, and flowing here! Nice!
It's official. Chinese builders are not following. They are leading.
This is a beauty. Shout out From South Africa
These type of vehicles are very popular in HK because often people have their parents living with them and their kids in the same house. Most are Toyota Alphards or Velfires. You get these wheh you order UberXL. This Xpeng is probably the nicest version of this style if vehicle I have seen.
Best MPV in the world, yet🇿🇦
This looks amazing and really high tech and cool. Love the design
The headlights design is great
Car is good but Guangzhou city looks very futuristic.🔥
Futuristic Smog and dirty sky? IF that is futuristic... i don't want it. It brings you cancer.
Wheelsboy, This is the most positive you have ever been in reviewing a Chinese automobile. It must be really good!
This is so obviously a bot account it's not even funny.
This is a great car. My challenge is titling it in the usa and its maintainability since there is no dealer in the us.
Wow amazing work Xpeng🎉
that cargo area is absolutly mind blowing
Great video, I love to see all the new MPV designs you showcase. Also interested in the new Xiaomi car that was just released if it becomes available for you to review👍

Great review and analysis. Thx
My friend just bought this car last week...It is a fun car😂😂I'm looking forward to this brand.
Wow - it really can perform as well as an SUV? Thats amazing.
This style of MPV is actually pretty common in China. Lexus, various Chinese makers and amazing BUICK! There are a crap ton of Buick MPVs in this exact style in China.
They are generally operated by hotels and other upscale places that cater to richer clientele who like to be driven around.
well. Buick is more for business and doesn't look like this. X9 is family first, but I can see it used for business like the Buick GL8.
Whoa! This needs to come to the states!!
Absolutely incredible!
Everything about the design is great, the honeycomb grill slightly distract the clean lines, but much better than Japanese luxo MPV like Toyota Alphard/Lexus LM.
This is awesome… Wish they would come to EU and be affordable… that’s the dream.
The carnival for others in this segment may be over :)
Looks beautiful
Dont need van,,but this is amazing 😊
Here in UK we need 7 seater ev really bad
What a beautiful van. I will check it when it's available in Dubai
The second row is amazing 🤩👌
Very impressive.
Most manufacturers and certainly most buyers are currently too busy with their sunroofs, panaromic sunroofs, moonroofs, or whatever they are called. I love the way how this one pays attention to a proper TV screen and superb back seats with multi stretch and recline features. Do people realise that much in demand sun roof actually means a big compromise in safety by way of reduced passenger cabin/shell rigidity?
This car is nothing less than awesome, i would love to get one here in Dubai
This one is definitely a true luxury alternative to European luxury cars or vans.
Like this better than even the Staria lol. Bring back the super weird and odd Dustbuster like vans. Always made them stand out from suv’s
this thing is futuristic for sure
beautiful suv/mpv
Hi @wheelsboy, cool video! One little tidbit about the physics of a drag coefficient: If that coefficient is lower on the Xpeng X9 compared to the Tesla Model Y, it doesn't mean, that it has less drag. To calculate the drag you also have to multiply by the front-facing area, which definitely is larger in the Xpeng X9.
Unfortunately, the American protectionism will prevent this marvelously high tech EV from entering the U.S. market . Once XPENG makes it to here. It’s game over for the other auto makers.
love love this vehicle not just cos its MPV but its a cool vehicle
OK... I want one. I went for a G3 for my company car and that replaced a Buick GL8 I had but although the G3 is fine, the sitting in a van is far better. can do work in the back, can put a lot more things on weekens. and this looks cool!
Awesome... I'd buy it right now if I had the money and need for a vehicle sooo big 👏👏👏
As all those new mpvs this also should have option of 3 sep seats in middl row - more for families, not business use
Funny, I was behind you on Liede Bridge when you filmed this.....must admit, there X9 did catch my eye.
Well done. Will be Xpengs best seller. I am interested in it.
An outstanding vehicle! Great design, superior interior quality, enormous power. Actually this is a new type of vehicle, idk how to call this segment, maybe a SUVan?

My love for this MPV though

so good car, i must be buy this Xpeng X9
It’s too bad that our country, US, won’t allow this Chinese vehicle be imported here.
It will kill Pacifica instantly
They allow it, but the USA raised import tax for cars to 25%. And EU has 10% and is about to increase it's import taxes for cars to higher percentage. Because China also has a high import tax. So actually it's the mistake of China in this import tax war having the highest taxes on many products. Therefore the REACTION to China's ACTIONS = higher import taxes. Which is pretty fair. China just wants the cake and eat it. That's not how world trade works. World trade doesn't work by destroying other industries. (China's plan)
You might want to check India's import taxes@@HermanWillems

The meaning of 'MPV' is 'Multi-Purpose Vehicle', a term that refers to cars designed to provide optimum practicality and comfort for large groups. Also commonly referred to as 'people carriers', MPV cars can have from five to nine seats, making them ideal for accommodating large families or groups.
