Honestly, the Lookout tower is there to keep an eye on the castle and also a central position to coordinate things with all other civilizations. It is not a permanent settlement. They wouldn's outright abandon it, but considering how far it is from any other settlements, it would end up being just a lightly guarded outpost. Such a large population center like Hateno couldn't just be left unguarded.
This is definitely the best video so far!! The animations during the battles were so good, felt like you were actually watching it unfold in real time instead of looking back on it!
Interesting to see how this scenario could play out differently! Maybe let's not test this hypothetical, though... Instead, I'd love to hear about your trips into the Depths though, from what I've heard they're fascinating! Also its concerning that you got footage in the Yiga Hideout.. What are you hiding YAH?
@@BouncyBonBon One hypothetical I thought of that would probably result in the Yiga winning 10x easier is that since Yiga seem to be able to control monsters (or at least not get attacked by them), so if the yiga could just manage to get some king gleeoks to burn down all the settlements with lynels charging from below, then there’s literally nothing they could do.
Hm, the koroks present an intetesting dilemma. On the one hand, their leader is likely the only one of them that the majority of outsiders could even see. On the other hand, we've seen what happens if the Great Deku Tree is corrupted. But then, that knly seems to affect koroks in the immediate area, as Hestu (who we know is a solid fighter from Age of Calamity) and the others are unaffected. And it's unlikely that any of the Yiga would be pure of heart enough to be able to see the koroks at all. And despite being made of wood, koroks have no issue living in incredibly hot or otherwse dangerous environments. However they would likely also have the lowest damage outputs of everyone in the region, since Hestu is the only one who's more than a foot tall.

You make a pretty compelling argument for how they might take down some of these settlements. The Gerudo really ought to patch up that wall... really. The Yiga's ability to disguise + teleport is pretty OP.
This video was very well researched and put together! I would also like to add that the yiga could probably infiltrate the neutral zone and use it to get into the high ranks to manimuplate the other civilizations! Like maybe hold a meeting for all the leaders just to surround the building with cannons and weapons to take them all down in one fell swoop!
Koroks would definitely succeed, arieal flight, sturdy wooden weapons, multishot bows, some of the best hiding skills (able to hide in all settlements and remain undetected)
Frankly the Gorons would literally be perfect for raiding the Yiga Hideout, if the hideout is still the main base the Gorons could just take the arrows and probably only be harmed by the blademasters. Who seem in little supply. Even 1 goron would be able to fight a really large amount of Yiga. Also, buy this point in the games timeline, does Hyrule even currently have a government structure? (If the depths are open but Kohga is missing). And wouldn't Purah effectively be the one in charge of whatever military and political structure left in Hyrule. Then finally, all the Yiga would have to do to cripple the Hylians is destroy Hateno village, since that is presumably where most of the food comes from. Focusing on Hateno to destroy the food supply is a brilliant move. I suppose the same could be said about the Zora, since Hyrule's waters originate from the Domain. I agree- the Gorons would have the best chance against the Yiga, since they would be most likely to break into the hideout, and then withstand the incoming arrows. Good points!
@youraveragehylian I also forgot to mention, these are obviously one scenario because I guess there is lots of other ways for it to play out. Like you said.
This is actually a really good concept for a Zelda game. Think about it. Zelda has never had an actual "war", so imagine the Yiga Clan actually trying to conquer Hyrule. That would be awesome! (Of course this is probably never going to happen, but it's fun to think about)
This was truly fascinating. The amount of time and research you put into this is impressive. Well done. I do have one thought, though. In the Gerudo bunker, there is another way out and a guard is even stationed there. I feel like Hyrule castle should be Ganondorfs, and his minions would fight for him, and the sky islands should all be the zonai, the zonai constructs could fight for them
One thing worth commenting on is that taking the Garudo right off the bat would be a major mistake that could very well cost them the war. Having a war-facing culture like that in a subservient roll sounds great on paper, but retaining control of them would necessitate stretching an already thin force getting stretched even thinner.
Great video, but I feel like the biggest thing neglected is what everyone else would be doing before/when the Yiga get to them. Other races may be in active battle which the Yiga could take advantage of. Maybe some races formed alliances which would make dispatching them incredibly more difficult. Maybe some races have even fallen entirely in the later stages. Also after the first couple races have fallen to the Yiga I feel like that would put the others on high alert for disguises or around the chasms or other classic Yiga tricks Edit: Should probably have looked at more than 5 comments before writing this and found out others have already pointed this out way better than I did 💀
About the footsoldiers not being very strong, I would like to point out that they are specifically meant for stealth-based tactics. To add, by what we have seen, travelers (by extention even the Monster Control Crew) struggle to fight even basic Red Bokoblins despite having shields. So if you can imagine a Gerudo fighting a Blue Bokoblin, then a Yiga footsoldier is probably much worse since they actually have the reflexes to dodge their attacks.
Amazing video bro, one thing, towns will not let “tourists” inside of them during a civil war across their world, the only people yiga can transform into are hylians from what we can see and in an all out civil war, no nation would let tourists from their enemies in their capital, and “tourists” will not travel during a civil war. Other than that great video!
Tekor has his new plan…. Also, ig I’m the YAH’s music nerd, PLEASE PROVIDE LINKS (lol) IN THE DESCRIPTION TO THE MUSIC YOU USE Please and thank you. Keep it up!
How to defeat: The rito, explode the top of their peak, it crumbles, they die. The zora, make the giant fish statue fall, they die. The gerudo, make their springs fall, no water, most of the central town wi be crushed. The gorons, explode the rocks with the faces of their great warriors, they most likely will suffer non négligeable damage
I think that master coda riding in on a Mec is a stretch because if you have to have him you should at least have someone equal to his ability like Link love the video❤ also think another cool one would be the Highland trying to take over
new video idea. what if all of the Hylian nations teamed up to fight link, would he win, or would he be overwhelmed by the sheer number of his opponents. rules: link doesnt get sage ability's or auto-build, the sages are as op as they are before link shows up. or how link could beat every nation one by one
Question: Why did the hylians run outside their castle defenses to fight the yoga head on when they could’ve stayed in the castle and most likely withstood a siege. I also think it’s wishful thinking to assume that none of the other nations would attack first and wait to be raided. I still love the video though so keep up the great work!
"If you handicap literally everyone else severely and only barely limit how much the Yiga can teleport but give no other handicaps, and instead make them actually smarter and more tactical then they really are, youll never guess what clan wins the civil war!!"
If the Yiga were defeated, the Rito would probably win simply by staying in their village. They can fly to get supplies easily, and their village is extremely difficult to acces with various ambush locations. Hebra is full of animals that the Rito can hunt, and there are several water sources nearby. The Rito can also fly upward from their village and rain down arrows on the invaders(using wood from Tabantha, they could produce a lot of arrows), while anyone on the other side would have almost no cover. However, the win is not guaranteed, as they could be attacked by Shiekah Zonai devices or their poor night vision could be exploited to take their base without much opposition until the base has been infiltrated.
Assuming a post TOTK world, the Hylians would be a massive threat. Since all champion type fighters are assumed to be on about the same level for this scenario, Hyrule gets nerfed, but not enough to remove their advantage. You see, unlike most nations, Hyrule has multiple champions. Link and Zelda are each strong enough to match a champion in combat, which the other nations cannot claim. This means that any attack against Hyrule must assume that 2 posts have a champion level defender, or that a single post has two. In this case, I believe that Lookout Landing and Kakariko would have Link and Zelda respectively, one being the center of power, and the other the center of knowledge. If that is the case, the Yiga assault described in this video could never work. A plan the Yiga could use instead is to slowly whittle away at the borders of Hyrule over a long period of time. Once they've taken the other nations, they could take their time slowly shrinking Hyrule. There would be a particular focus on splitting Hyrule down the middle, thus separating Link and Zelda. Once they can no longer come to each other's aid, the Yiga can pick off either one by mobilizing an army against their settlements.
One thing's bugging me. The Yiga are also very prideful, and I feel like they'd go after their opposition of the Shiekah as early as they possibly could. I understand this is a simulation, but I feel like it's most realistic to have them attack the Shiekah even before the Gorons, if not the Hylians. Their pride wouldn't allow them to let the Shiekah live for longer than they needed to. This is a really cool concept, though, and I'd love to see a Korok victory next!
here's a few criticisms I have for this video and a bit of ideas if you wanna improve this (yap alert) For Hyrule and Lookout Landing, Don't forget about the forces Hyrule has backup for at Hyrule Castle (the ones searching for Zelda); despite being scouting parties they have the ability to flank from the gate. I classify them as a fighting force as they have armor and weapons, hit by surprise. If they killed the Yiga Blademaster to the side, they can surround the remaining Yiga Footsoldiers, also noting that the cannons should target armoured vehicles first. The Hylians can be the sole survivor and stand a SLIGHT chance if they kept continuing depths research and scavenging pristine weapons. The Master Kohga one is unlikely and I would classify it as a slight bias onto the Yiga. Kohga would have no idea what he's doing and cannot end up in the surface with the mech. That only happened when Link beat him. Depths warfare scenarios should be counted. Alot of things prompted by link should be excluded. Like clearing the monsters camps. The Korok's defensive objective can be to protect the Great Deku Tree. The special quirk of the Koroks would be the extremely hard logistics of armoured vehicles, so the Yiga cannot just bomb the place to bits. Also to note the fog. Hestu can be a distraction with his maracas, however they have no direct way of fighting, so eventually they'll have to give in. Unless you count Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity Hestu who has the ability to trample with an army of Koroks, then unfortunately they won't be able to last. Another way the Yiga could take out the Gorons is if they disguised as travelers with their remaining gear, steal fireproof gear as extra disguises, sneak Yiga through the underground, to create a full surrounding formation. Although it would take long, the plant bombs and traps one is still a genius idea. Yiga defensive is good, but if the Rito did attack first, they will attack through, however in Revali's line in BotW "very few can achieve a mastery of the sky" It means the Rito can't fly forever and if the Yiga planes would last long enough, the Rito will get tired. They can't make their own updrafts like Revali, and Tulin's best can only propel forward, not upwards. The only problem with defensive is that Rito can take advantage of the highlands, and attack the ambushes set up on the highland's long hallways. A problem with attacking the Rito though is that the chasm at Rito Village is completely isolated. (not sure) making a depths attack also impossible. The Rito, besting the airplanes, will survive the ordeal. Their advantage over heights is an absolute powerful ability in the right situation. Another way the Yiga could win is by making training more serious. Serious training would negate some mental based things like getting distracted by bananas, laughing while teleporting, and aiming faster, as well as mastering their teleport techniques. This would basically violate the exploiting their abilities rule, but training should at least negate those negative factors, or lessen if not that. Yiga Blademasters still inspect around for enemies, so that should've been a sign. Including the aspect of monster camps and locations, as well as Gloom Spawns, This is how monsters can affect the war; The presence of monsters will deter logistics, HEAVILY. Monsters will stay hostile, which will stop the mobilization of them. Eventually monsters form as a mini threat. Aerocudas can deter a Rito advance. If this is set in the Upheaval, Gloom Spawns will be a horrifying threat for mobilization, and Hinoxes can destroy builds. If the monsters were to attack first, it could destroy what I believe can be the Hylians and Zora. Lightning Lizalfos, Native to the Gerudo desert can pose a significant threat to the Zora if they do manage to sneak through Hyrule, Gerudo Desert and other areas, if they made the treacherous, unlikely journey, can devastate the Zora the same way the Yiga did. In the specific scenario monsters can deter the Yiga, a Battle Talus will appear from the sides, bokoblins opening hell on it, and as it gets closer, a bomb arrow one. Yiga airplanes shot down, and Hylian forces. It would depend on which team the Battle Talus attacks first. Depths monsters are more dangerous and can largely deter the advance of the Yiga as well. Lookout Landing is surrounded by a Battle Talus, 3 gloom spawns, constructs and monsters to the front, as well as that base. The Monster Control isn't very strong in the case of a Yiga attack, however it can weaken the force due to the large amount of soldiers in it. There are a few Hinoxes too. These monsters are strong, and their monster control crew won't be able to take the monsters AND the Yiga advance. Therefore this makes a Hylian offensive way harder than a simple march through the fields. Geography of the Depths and the Sky Islands too can help this, the Depths can provide adequate control over the steady supply of prsistine weapons. Pristine weapons not ravaged by gloom give the Yiga an edge, but depths research by the Hylians should mean their strongest forces have pristine weapons too. You should also include other notable figures into the battle too; Tulin of the Rito, Yunobo of the Gorons, and Buliara, of the Gerudo. I don't think we should include Link, because he's too powerful, and he would realistically still be asleep for a century. Don't forget about the Monster Control Crew leader (i forgot his name) who can act as a general. You should atleast specify them into the battles. Tulin would change the battlefront by flying around and using the Great Eagle Bow to shoot up tons of Yiga men, Tulin being in the air also means that even if Teba + the other Rito defending the settlement would make him the last stand, so it's still a loss, to weaken the Yiga army further. That's also how he gets slightly above average, his "infinite" or longer lasting flight. Yunobo is still kind, but will not hesitate to fight. HIs mastery over Daruk's Protection or the Goron Shield Technique I should say should let him survive, being the last stand. However his brute power will weaken the Yiga army way further, lessening their ability to stand a chance against Lookout Landing if they're still standing despite being surrounded by monsters. Although being above average, he still falls. Yunobo is more defensive than offensive, like most Gorons. Gorons only have mastery over their own territory like the Rito. Buliara despite her weakened state for the fight would weaken the forces at the frontlines, before falling, this should weaken their ability to beat the Gorons and Hylians. However she is unlikely to die as they already surrendered. Being the only claymore wielder, she can clear out alot of the Yiga men then get hit with a cannon ball. King Dorephan would be killed immediately after being found, although shortly before. Sidon, would be electrocuted in a bravado against the Yiga, although weakening them a bit. Remaining weaponry in the Zora Waterworks could be used in a rebellion. As well as debris.
Huh. Come to think of it, where is Master Kohga?? Last I heard, he fell down a really, REEEEEEEEAALLY deep hole. And I think Pikongo showed me a painting of that hole once when I was staying at a stable, and it's overflowing with gloom! I think we're safe from him. Right? Right..?
Small problem, they technically did not take the Lost Woods. There for they didn't win. Yes, it would be neutral, but it's not like they couldn't do something to help
Y’know now that I think abt it, I heard that the yiga also know how to not get sick from gloom too! (How do I know this? Well- hate to admit it- but I’ve got a cousin who joined the yiga and likes to brag) TvT
it's fine, maybe they are going to introduce the yiga to something OTHER than bananas, after all, just bananas can't be healthy. also, i met link, and he has a yiga disguise, i saw him dye it at the kochi dye shop. wait, pretend you didn't hear that!
HOnestly, if the Yiga had an actually competent leader, they could manipulate the rest of Hyrule to take each other out, then rise from the depths to pick off the remaining stragglers. But we know that would never happen without a change of management so... Guess we can consider ourselves lucky that these folks are stupidly loyal.
I know it prob wouldn't make much of a difference, but what about the secret stronghold under lookout landing? Couldn't the hylians remaining hylians just go through the castle passages and regroup at the castle? The yiga have no idea it is there.
The Yiga wouldn't have to attack Gerudo City. They could attack the gerudo bazar and lure them out or just wait them out as the gerudo don't seem to be able to withstand the desert heat that well. Also the Yiga seem good at kidnapping soldiers so the safest approach probably be waiting the gerudo out.
The hygiene should really stay inside hyrule castle. It managed to keep a centuries old demon king safe, the only person able to penetrate it being Link, who as previously mentioned can solo entire armies. Its security isn’t THAT compromised.
This video kinda makes me wanna see deku shrubs come back into the series since they left in majoras mask and they are hyper militaristic kinda like slightly more serious PvZ plants. it'd be something that LoZ doesn't have and it'd be pretty neat.
13:48 I wonder how the rito would utilize their ability to fly for strategy. Would they camp out on the sky islands similar to how the yiga camp out in the depths. No other state in hyrule can easily reach the sky with the exception of the yiga with their flying machines.
I have to wonder how they would get their troops into position to attack zoras domain? above ground is obviously not an option, and there are only three chasms that would easily allow them to attack the zora: the Mishi woods, East Akkala and Under Zora's domain chasms. The one under Zora's domain wouldn't work for this exact plan cause it's inside the village. In east Akkala I doubt hudson and friends would be happy to have an army go through their lands. Leaving Mishi woods chasm which is under the kokiri another unlikely path to Zora domain's outerwalls.
Question. On a full blown civil war where the sheika actually betray or hate the royal family or hylians (dunno due the shadow temple thing, or their attempt of erradication on TP or the dismantling of their sheika technology) wouldnt they join the yiga or the other way around if the sheika are doing tbe attacking? They are the same race and people (see mazkoshia)
*Is* health equal to a blue bokoblin necessarily weak? Sure they're no problem for Link or a Champion/Sage, but we've seen that even much weaker red bokoblins can still be a threat to experienced Hylian travelers with swords and shields and light textile armor, while themselves being butt naked and usually just armed with a tree branch. Blues are probably at LEAST an equal to a highly trained and well equipped soldier of most races.
Listen, the Gerudo fight in HIGH HEELS. They live in a DESERT. Sand. SAND. They cannot run or walk. Also. The Gerudo DONT USE BOWS. Therefore they would have been destroyed by the Rito

Edit: Should probably have looked at more than 5 comments before writing this and found out others have already pointed this out way better than I did 💀
About the footsoldiers not being very strong, I would like to point out that they are specifically meant for stealth-based tactics.
Yippie another upload finally!!!
And Nintendo says “there is nothing left to do in this version of Hyrule.”
Could maybe pose as mediators from the Hylians trying to arrange an alliance, or refugees whose villages were destroyed by other armies
Tekor has his new plan….

How to defeat:
The rito, explode the top of their peak, it crumbles, they die.
The zora, make the giant fish statue fall, they die.
The gerudo, make their springs fall, no water, most of the central town wi be crushed.
The gorons, explode the rocks with the faces of their great warriors, they most likely will suffer non négligeable damage
Lol
Step 1: crush
Step 2: win

Yoooo welcome to the GSC!
I think that master coda riding in on a Mec is a stretch because if you have to have him you should at least have someone equal to his ability like Link love the video❤ also think another cool one would be the Highland trying to take over
The only rule was that their POWERS were limited. Master kohga MADE that mech. Truly shows how op the yiga are
new video idea. what if all of the Hylian nations teamed up to fight link, would he win, or would he be overwhelmed by the sheer number of his opponents. rules: link doesnt get sage ability's or auto-build, the sages are as op as they are before link shows up.
or how link could beat every nation one by one

Hello there
Question: Why did the hylians run outside their castle defenses to fight the yoga head on when they could’ve stayed in the castle and most likely withstood a siege.
I mean, there’s a reason they’re basically trapped in the depths in reality 😆
He finally got down from the great sky island
18:31 they could also just repeat the same trick they used on the rito and use the chasem under zoras domain to surprise them
Okay but could the Yiga stand up to my doo-hickie?(thermonuclear warhead)
The problem with any 1 side getting absolute victory is their military and supply lines being spread too thin to effectively hold all that land
The fairies both normal and great should be considered one of the races of Hyrule
This is a really cool concept, though, and I'd love to see a Korok victory next!
here's a few criticisms I have for this video and a bit of ideas if you wanna improve this
(yap alert)
For Hyrule and Lookout Landing, Don't forget about the forces Hyrule has backup for at Hyrule Castle (the ones searching for Zelda); despite being scouting parties they have the ability to flank from the gate.
Including the aspect of monster camps and locations, as well as Gloom Spawns, This is how monsters can affect the war;
The presence of monsters will deter logistics, HEAVILY.
These are some great points
I now want a Zelda game where Link has to lead a resistance against the Yiga/Gannon
That’d be so cool
Link in a Beret would go so hard.
loved this video !!!
I think you forgot to mention one thing - causualties. Every battle would cause some Yiga losses, which might have caused some difference in outcomes.
Huh. Come to think of it, where is Master Kohga?? Last I heard, he fell down a really, REEEEEEEEAALLY deep hole. And I think Pikongo showed me a painting of that hole once when I was staying at a stable, and it's overflowing with gloom! I think we're safe from him. Right? Right..?
21:31 your forgeting once one is set off they wont be so easy to defeat again
12:15 yiga turning this medieval conflict into desert storm
Small problem, they technically did not take the Lost Woods. There for they didn't win. Yes, it would be neutral, but it's not like they couldn't do something to help
Y’know now that I think abt it, I heard that the yiga also know how to not get sick from gloom too!
(How do I know this? Well- hate to admit it- but I’ve got a cousin who joined the yiga and likes to brag) TvT
Nooo not your cousin!
it's fine, maybe they are going to introduce the yiga to something OTHER than bananas, after all, just bananas can't be healthy. also, i met link, and he has a yiga disguise, i saw him dye it at the kochi dye shop. wait, pretend you didn't hear that!
@@Beansprout595 hmmm, maybe I'll get link to collect some intel for us. I've seen him passing by in town.
does your cousin happen to be a scout? because, well, I captured a yiga scout the other day. I haven't seen him since I captured him.
I have a idea, do another video like this but on koroks
There needs to be a part three
HOnestly, if the Yiga had an actually competent leader, they could manipulate the rest of Hyrule to take each other out, then rise from the depths to pick off the remaining stragglers. But we know that would never happen without a change of management so... Guess we can consider ourselves lucky that these folks are stupidly loyal.
From what i understand the Yiga do get killed. They just get resurrected with the Blood moon.
I think the yiga can only teleport to other yiga or in a short radius from where there teleporting
I know it prob wouldn't make much of a difference, but what about the secret stronghold under lookout landing? Couldn't the hylians remaining hylians just go through the castle passages and regroup at the castle? The yiga have no idea it is there.
you forgot the chasm under zora
The Yiga wouldn't have to attack Gerudo City. They could attack the gerudo bazar and lure them out or just wait them out as the gerudo don't seem to be able to withstand the desert heat that well. Also the Yiga seem good at kidnapping soldiers so the safest approach probably be waiting the gerudo out.
Obviously the Koroks would win. 900 solders+hestu would be overpowered
The hygiene should really stay inside hyrule castle. It managed to keep a centuries old demon king safe, the only person able to penetrate it being Link, who as previously mentioned can solo entire armies. Its security isn’t THAT compromised.
*hylians, because my tablet won’t let me edit my comment.
This video kinda makes me wanna see deku shrubs come back into the series since they left in majoras mask and they are hyper militaristic kinda like slightly more serious PvZ plants. it'd be something that LoZ doesn't have and it'd be pretty neat.
Interesting Video.
13:48 I wonder how the rito would utilize their ability to fly for strategy.
Would they camp out on the sky islands similar to how the yiga camp out in the depths.
No other state in hyrule can easily reach the sky with the exception of the yiga with their flying machines.
2:54 i thought that number would be way higher.
Dose this number include all the yiga in the depths or just the ones on the surface?

Every zonai item will disappear when used for 30 mins (max, wing 45 secs)
I have to wonder how they would get their troops into position to attack zoras domain? above ground is obviously not an option, and there are only three chasms that would easily allow them to attack the zora: the Mishi woods, East Akkala and Under Zora's domain chasms.
The one under Zora's domain wouldn't work for this exact plan cause it's inside the village. In east Akkala I doubt hudson and friends would be happy to have an army go through their lands. Leaving Mishi woods chasm which is under the kokiri another unlikely path to Zora domain's outerwalls.
Tbh i dont think link would just stand and do nothing after hearing about the yiga defeating his friends.
