    Did this to my FJ and really like the look. Thinking of getting the winch that hides in the stock bumper, but maybe I’ll go with a new bumper eventually. Thanks again!!

      Awesome! Glad you did. I enjoyed it while I had it. Now I have a Smittybilt bumper

    FYI If you put some fuzzy side of velcro taped to the bottom of your saw it wont scratch

    Great look and going to do this to mine but the hell with screws, double sided emblem tape all the way around and those are never coming off until yo want them to.

    • @LegitRaceCraft
      @LegitRaceCraft  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Steven Stritenberger I thought about using the tape, but I didn't want to worry about it after going through deep mud or water. I would rather just screw it in

    I'd like to see you install some of the fj cruiser light pods with mounts

    Sorry to ask a question on an old video, but just got my FJ. Did you set these into the 'pocket' the original ends were set in, or does it ride flush with the rest of the bumper? If the latter, the folks talking about using tape would need to inset it into the 'pocket' or there's not anything for the tape to attach to.
    I'm thinking about doing this with maybe more bolts (or black rivets) - so the connectors look somewhat decorative
    Thanks for the video - I've heard people talk about doing this mod, and how much the commercial packages for it cost, wanted to find an alternative that felt more like I did it myself :)

      Mine fits in the 'pocket'. The black rivets should be a nice touch too.

    Did you drill through the bumper to install the bolt hardware? Were the holes within the recessed portion of the part removed?

    • @LegitRaceCraft
      @LegitRaceCraft  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Gus Vignart I did no drilling. I used the previous holes and "remove the old holes"? Do you mean to ask if I filled them in? I didn't fill them with anything.

    Well done! Im doing this mod to my 07 titanium. Any more tips in removing the end caps?

    • @LegitRaceCraft
      @LegitRaceCraft  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Jim Welch accidentally running into a low pole will surely remove it..lol..that's how i "removed" my passenger side one. I tried to put all of the tips in the video, I can't think of any more.
