I remember hearing this when i watched TWN in Calgary when I was 6/7 years old! I find it fits in with an "Alberta Spring" (still snowing somedays and still a little cold) takes me way back
It actually started late July, early August 2006, o remember the day it started playing & was already missing the 2005/2006 theme (this one) which is by far the best!
Time to stop the speculation years ago I found this track because a friend of mine works at the music library it came from. The piece is called "Windstar" it was made on demand by Non-Stop Music which is now known as Warner Chappell Production Music.
Can't seem to find it on the Warner/Chappell Production website searching either for the title or composer. Maybe it's not on their site anymore? I'm not sure how else to locate it.
I'd have to agree with guylol104...this song gives back good memories...the new song has been on the air for 3 years starting Septmeber or October 06 iirc, with the intro switched sometime in November 06 or Deceomber 06, compeltely switched from this version to the current one... However, this song I remmeber hearing when visiting my relaives in Moncton, New Brunswick while viewing TWN and MétéoMédia! :D

Remixing it to remove the voiceover looks more like the MétéoMédia version, although theirs featured in stereo quality compared to TWN's mono quality. Even when they had the new music in late July 2006, it was a gradual transition as some LFs had the new music while other LFs still had this version in tandem. Eventually the new music replaced this one.

By on demand I assume you mean it’s a custom piece, hence it’s not available in the library?
