Great mid game. I never used the Falchion because of this video here. You and your opponent had fairly weak openings, but it didn’t matter because the drop pattern for any “waste” breakers is so poor when using a Falchion. When it’s Falchion vs Falchion that’s okay, but with any other sword it’s a major issue. I used and abused the three S’s (Saber, Skull Dagger, Scimitar) for a long time because the Falchion was viewed as the best sword when in actuality there was only 1 or 2 players who could truly use it to its potential. Great games, but I think this video shows more a) you’re really good but b) the Falchion drop pattern did not help you much in these scenarios.
These games were literally played between 2 ~GM players on a now dead ocean. The falchion & the non reversed Saber are astronomically broken swords in the metagame. The game has been min-maxed, and those 2 swords excell the most. Any other sword (including SD/Scimi) are worthless dogmeat with 0 kill pressure. On top of that, the gameplay seen in the video is very bad. If these 2 were decent SFers, the games would be a lot shorter and much more frustrating.
