Great Alberto! What a deep dive in this beautiful clipping world! You’re very clear and love the way you managed to point out how subtle the use of GC could benefit our sounds! thank you so much
Thank you! I'm happy to read that this master class worked, and I'm glad to know I conveyed the info in the best way. I've spent some time planning the video because I didn't want to wing it and just leave out the tiny details under the hood!
i am demoing right now and its interesting how you describe the official soundtrack effect it had. i was just experiencing that. this plugin is def something special out the gate... great tutorial btw
Thank you! I am glad you found it useful. Thanks for writing me a message, it means a lot and this is not a cliché answer, it's the truth and it's what keeps me going. I still use GoldClip every day on basically anything I write, it's there in my template and it never ceases to provide something useful, especially now that I am faring much lighter on bus compression on my mixes, even lighter than I was already.
Great video...the best in explaining the Gold clip I've seen thus far...keep up the good work...and keep creating..your best is not behind you but in front of you.
Thank you so much! I am glad you liked my way of presenting it, along with the plug-in itself. It means a lot to me, thanks for finding the time to drop me a comment to let me know. Much appreciated. GoldClip is still on my template, no matter the latest different styles in commissions I got, it's there. No reason not to have it.
Still using gold clip? I'm wondering if there's a point in adding it to my tools if I've already got k clip, ash, standard clip, newfangled saturate.. and probably a few others in various bundles I'm forgetting. 😅🙏
Hello Locotek, yes I am still using GoldClip (and OrangeClip, actually). It's in my scoring template and I have printed a lot of cues already, with it, and it will keep going until Q4 this year, as I have a huge soundtrack project I am writing music on. On top of that I got another gig for a horror video game soundtrack and I created a sort of spin-off template out of my usual scoring template, and this one also includes GoldClip. When this horror soundtrack and its cues will be done (hopefully Summer this year) I'll talk about how I made the sounds I made and show the templates (and GoldClip/OrangeClip) settings. I cannot do it just now, I'll have to wait for the game release. I use GoldClip on the mix bus, and OrangeClip on single tracks, when needed. Both work great. From the list you have mentioned, I do use Saturate a lot, and Elevate too, and the whole Newfangled Audio bundle, I have printed actually a lot of small cues with Saturate after GoldClip, on my mix bus, and those are just my two processors, there. Thanks for watching and staying with me!
@arizzoschettino OH wow! That was plugin doctor? So funny, I see it in other videos and it looked different. It must be a "Dark Mode" throwing me off. LOL Thank you for the answer AND the awesome content.
Absolutely, and I am thinking it would do great as you noticed on the kicks and low end material it just didn't 'bulge' against the shape of the kick. If you get the demo and try it towards that genre, let me know how it turned out!
Agreed, what I mentioned on the kicks test, it has a very nice way to not interfere with the shape of the kicks and low-end while still doing its thing.
Best explanation ever... since I came across Gold Clip, thanks

What is that signal analyst software around @6:00?
It's called "Plugin Doctor". Thanks for watching!

Thank you for the answer AND the awesome content.
This was an excellent breakdown man. Bravo 🔥🔥🔥 absolutely love both of these "clippers"
Thanks for the kind words. Glad the video rocked as I intended!
Would love to see a pop / dance type of track being mastered through this, tracks with heavy low end.
It has a trial. I own the plugin, it does wonderfully on heavy low end signals as well
