Re: DBeckham… the admiration wasn’t that he stood in line for 12 hours. He was admired for waiting his turn when he could have bypassed the long line as many celebrities had done. It is naive to assume just because he is an athlete, standing for 12 hours isn’t a big ask for him. I would imagine as an athlete, his physique has taken a beating and standing in line for 12 hours was far more difficult than many realize! Rather, what he gave was respect not only to your late queen, but to every visitor and citizen waiting their turn. This showed great humility and frankly, I admired him for it. When I was a young “Typical dumb secretary” I had no idea I had more brains and knowledge than the average Hollywood starlets of today.
