I kind of want him to try tell a story of some of the zombies in Stalker because some of their voicelines are heartbreaking. During one life I heard a zombie mumbling about his daughter, if I remember correctly, trying to find her or her moving on. It’s sad but I would love to know more about their story.

I wouldn't expect this level of complexity in a mainstream game. Maybe in 5 o 6 years, and that is if they open it, which I don't think so. Since ~2010 the game experience is more cinematic than active.

This is such a good showcase of the games atmosphere and how much fun it can be. I don't think many people realize how much this game influenced other games like Dayz and EFT. It's been years and i'll never get tired of the vibe from these kinds of games.
It’s funny how it’s kind of come full circle when it comes to influences, because there’s undeniable inspiration taken from stalker in Dayz and EFT. So it’s almost that the game mechanics and atmosphere from the original stalker games have been iterated upon enough that modders have been able to close the loop of inspiration and pick and choose the most suitable parts of stalker inspired games to modernize the stalker modifications they create. Pretty amazing if you ask me.
I never played this this is the first time I heard of it actually and this video convinced me to check it out , There were times I actually got jump scared and the anomalies of this game combined with Arean's story telling was a real treat
Was already willing to give GSC as much rope as they wanted when I saw the trailer. Now I'm just gonna be happy to hear that they're able to work in peace. With Grok and the rest of the modders, Stalker is in great hands.

I highly recommend start on the original trilogy (Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat), those will teach you about the basics of the game and the story. Then after that, you can play on mainly sandbox modded Stalkers like Anomaly (the story in Anomaly is not canon)
I started with the base games and disagree with the others. The base games can seem pretty lifeless in comparison. The moment I started playing modded STALKER I was sold. Yes, you'll miss some lore, but if you're like me and you're there for the story you get along the way and not the scripted story then you'll probably prefer modded STALKER. It will also take you a little longer to get acquainted with all the games mechanics like repairing weapons, equipping artifacts, etc. But well worth it.
This kind of gameplays I just adore and love to watch. No bullshitery, making jokes, finding new bugs. Just make your own story, thats what I love in your videos. Im just really happy that youre with us mate and making videos that are just pure pleasure to watch. Thank you for that.

Maybe I lack reference, but IMO this is uncharted territory: role playing gameplay so well directed. Most channels do either plain gameplay or edited gameplay focused on humor. I think this channel will be the best in this uncharted genre. The value is not in the game or mod, but in the good director! I would watch hundreds of videos in this game alone

I like that you apply audio filter when you voice in-game stalker character Cold System in winter. Nothing beats getting frozen and catching a cold in the middle of the unforgiving Zone. KynesPeace's Alternative Pseudodog seems to almost blend really well with the environment here. The iced waters won't break, but your companion(s) might not be able to traverse through some of them.
This was such great editing and storytelling! I would definitly watch a series of this. There is also a mode in GAMMA where your savegame dies if you die, for extra tension ;)

Phenomenal work, Arean. I've actually just started playing GAMMA myself, so this is super exciting for me. If you ever decide to do another playthrough, please do an Azazel run! You're gripping storytelling could really shine if you played with a group of companions and had to tell a story where friends are lost to the zone.

I had a PZ story idea. The Long Drive - the goal is to survive, and keep driving to a destination. Resources are scarce, meaning you have to stay on the road. Running out of gas could be the end of your travels.
You should do a challenge as a lost Soldier who was lost by his squad who's only goal is to regroup with them in the louisville mall, but you get there and they are all dead, and your surrounded.
This is my first time watching a video on stalker, loved it. the gamma mod is insane! 8 days later edit: played a stalker game for first time ever, and started with gamma. Hell.
Honestly with the way you navigate the world, I can't tell if You're ever playing with real people or just Npc/bots. You just make the whole world come just that much more *alive*
