WCFV 05 The Road to Boulia

In 2016 my wife Ruth and I toured through Western Queensland including Birdsville, the Central Australian area round Alice Springs and Ayers Rock , Flinders Ranges, Gawler Ranges and North-Western New South Wales.
I started to put together a series of videos to record the journey but for some reason left the task incomplete. I found the files again a couple of months ago and have finished the task.
This series of seventeen videos show the areas as they were seven years ago with some areas still dry, and others flooded. But we saw more wildflowers than we had ever seen before, including our around Australia trip in 2009.
Section 5. After Longreach the towns are further apart and smaller, although Winton is a fair size with good facilities. Midleton is only a pub and the only habitation until the town of Boulia. The drive took two days, with an overnight stop at Midleton. But the roadside scenery is spectacular in places, making it a very pleasant drive. This is real big-sky country, with only low mountain ranges and much flat country to the horizon.
