The auto-answer feature you are referring to is called Interphone. By pressing the mute key when the phone is idle (not on a call), any intercom call to the station will automatically answer. If your phone is also auto-answering calls when they come in from external callers the feature has been enabled in programming and will need to be turned off by your system administrator. You will know interphone is active if the blue LED above the mute key is illuminated when the phone is idle. Press the mute key when the phone is idle to enable/disable the feature.
