    Fun Fact: This is Peter Dinklage's true size and voice. It's only through cinema magic that he was able to play a dwarf in Game of Thrones.

      It's not CGI, Peter Dinklage is just that great of an actor. Let's see Daniel Day-Lewis gain thirty feet for a role.

      I learned my lesson for Endgame. Got tickets months in advance for me and my best friend, breaking from the past where I would wait to watch with family…I deleted every social media app except youtube from my devices a month in advance knowing that Philippines people somehow always get to watch these movies weeks in advance of the rest of world and can hence spoil the rest of the world, and then turned off everything on youtube, every setting, and barely even used it, my main source of entertainment. Something I only picked up with this watch through - one of my previously least like parts of the movie was how Loki and Gamora both had the same choice of, what I originally saw as: proving their love for their sibling bu giving up a stone letting them live. I felt like it watered down both the moments by having them play out the same.
    It only just clicked, that's not what was happening - the movie is constantly showing the our heroes aren't willing to bend, and pick the hardest path to stop Thanos. But when confronted with the same choice Thanos' conviction was stronger, sacrificing Gamora for the soul stone and allowing him to win.
    Probably picked up by most people, but I only just picked up on it

      @@dmidkif There are a lot of different things that could have affected the story in a major way. That is why I don't buy Dr. Strange's assertion that Thanos only loses in 1 out of 14 million futures.
      Thor's Ragnorok growth was retconned, Dr. Strange was nerfed and never used the time stone. In retrospect I'm kind of disappointed.

    • @dmidkif
      @dmidkif 3 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      @@mechanomics2649 My read is there are certain actions that would never occur in any reality that Strange foresaw. I am convinced that Strange saw no timeline where Quill did not lash out at Thanos for killing Gamora. I also expect there was no scenario where all the Avengers reconvened, given the events of Civil War.
      As for the time stone, I think Strange and the Ancient One were more guarding the time stone from those who would seek to misuse it. Any story involving time travel creates all sorts of problems, and I think Strange realizes this. And I just flatly disagree on Thor. While the execution may have been a bit corny, it was necessary to bring Thor down to a sea of depression and grief for his arc to be fully realized.
