I would love to buy tortillas like that from the grocery store. Pancheros literally squeezes a ball of dough right before your eyes to make their tortillas. Their entire cooking process takes less than 20 seconds once the press is hot.
I used to make a BBQ bacon cheeseburger at my snack shack that people loved. It may sound funny but it was really good . An 8 oz bacon cheeseburger with pulled pork..no salad toppings . Just the cheeseburger with bbq and slaw on a grilled bun

Rice in a burrito is just CHEAP Ass Filler Material used by Mexican style /Mexican impressions "food" from "Taco Bell" to make it look like they actually put some beef cheese and food in your burrito, when it's nothing but cheap ass filler material. And unhealthy process cheap white rice carb bombing with the processed white bread flour tortilla. 😝☹️ No cheap ass filler material in my burrito! You might as well put some styrofoam packing peanuts in there. Well that or the rice is used for poor sad vegetarians that "can't" eat anything Good 😢. 😅 Personal taste is just a little bit of pinto beans in the burrito, not mashed "refried" beans. BUT only because way too much refried beans if you ask for some. Kind of like a cheap filler material and replacement of the beef in your burrito. The refried beans can end up absorbing eating up all the flavor of your burrito. I once order to beef burrito with some refried beans in it they put so much refried beans it just seemed like a refried bean burrito with some chunks in it... Turns out the chunks were beef😅 That's a nice looking tortilla. But here's a Mexican trick/style for you. you have to heat up both corn and flour freshly on a comal or a pan. (Or even hit them up a little bit and a toaster oven if you're desperate) Yep lots of tortillas will come extra white in color, (you can also buy them completely raw now.) so that when you heat them up fresh you can cover them with all those delicious golden spots😊🤤 and if you wanted two you can kind of "Over Toast them a Little bit" and then it would slow down the sauce making from making it "extra soggy" 🙂 Dang it now I'm hungry! What seems to work for me all the time, "if needed"! Is I Google "Closest near me place selling 14" flour Tortillas to make Burritos with and it always pops up as 13.5 inch but that not what he says;😜😋❣ Try it and see if it works for you

Sam, I can relate. I’m not sure if it’s from using the same thermometer for a long time, but sometimes mine reads a lot higher, I cut it, and it’s perfect. Or it’ll somehow jump 20 degrees after like a minute. It’s annoying as shit. lol.
Sometimes it just means you put the sensor in too far through to the other side of the stake where it's hotter or you didn't put it in far enough and it's just at the top hot side surface

Sometimes it just means you put the sensor in too far through to the other side of the stake where it's hotter or you didn't put it in far enough and it's just at the top hot side surface

no, No, NO! No rice in a burrito! That is CHEAP Ass over carbing flavor absorbing mush! And that was way too much work and materials to try and put in some flavor to the carb filler mush of rice. Rice in a burrito is just CHEAP Ass Filler Material used by Mexican style /Mexican impressions "food" from "Taco Bell" to make it look like they actually put some beef cheese and food in your burrito, when it's nothing but cheap ass filler material. And unhealthy process cheap white rice carb bombing with the processed white bread flour tortilla. 😝☹️ No cheap ass filler material in my burrito! You might as well put some styrofoam packing peanuts in there. Well that or the rice is used for poor sad vegetarians that "can't" eat anything Good 😢. 😅
Personal taste is just a little bit of pinto beans in the burrito, not mashed "refried" beans. BUT only because way too much refried beans if you ask for some. Kind of like a cheap filler material and replacement of the beef in your burrito. The refried beans can end up absorbing eating up all the flavor of your burrito. I once order to beef burrito with some refried beans in it they put so much refried beans it just seemed like a refried bean burrito with some chunks in it... Turns out the chunks were beef😅

But here's a Mexican trick/style for you. you have to heat up both corn and flour freshly on a comal or a pan. (Or even hit them up a little bit and a toaster oven if you're desperate) Yep lots of tortillas will come extra white in color, (you can also buy them completely raw now.) so that when you heat them up fresh you can cover them with all those delicious golden spots😊🤤 and if you wanted two you can kind of "Over Toast them a Little bit" and then it would slow down the sauce making from making it "extra soggy" 🙂

Oh yeah heating the corn tortillas not only brings out flavor but also helps keep them from cracking when you're folding them over for your tacos 😀

I bought the set of STCG knives called The Dream Team last year and I can honestly say they're the best knives I've ever bought so would really recommend them. I live in Ireland so the delivery and customs charges are a bitch but if I lived in the US I'd be buying everything! Even with the extra costs they're still worth it. ahh it they need to be freshly heated, for nice tasty golden spots. But don't need to be crispy on a burrito. :-) But on this Wet Burrito crisping it a little bit could have helped not to "get a soggy , as fast"? :)
