    Crazy part is Pac was only 19-20 when he wrote this.

    And that's why 2pac is the best and will always be even in 100 years you'll still hear his music

    Vital thing that alot of people miss on this story is that there's still a baby even after she dies, so the baby is going to grow up in the system, vicious cycle. That's what he means by how it affects the community

      I kinda think Pac holding the little girl had kind a double meaning, including it being symbolic of the child Brenda left behind. Who could just be the next Brenda too

    Definitely gotta dive into more of Tupac’s music. He’s hands down the greatest of all time and most rapper’s favorite rapper. Long live Makaveli the Don 🙌🏾🙇🏾

    As a psychoteraphist i think you will find a lot of 2pacs music very interesting. Also he was 20-21 years old when he made this song. That just tells how special 2pac was...

    You need to do "Changes" next ‼not the official video because it's censored.

    This song still puts me to tears everytime. It’s still like the first time hearing it. No artist has never made me feel like this.

    This was my first Tupac song I ever heard, I was a sophomore in high school and immediately was a fan. I have grown kids now and they grew up hearing this type of music!

    I was in middle school when this came out and I remember how impactful it was listening and watching the video on MTV. I always loved Tupac for his poetry and activism.
    Definitely need to do the song Changes 🫶🏼

    Tom, I gotta tell you, words can’t explain the joy that your videos and reactions bring. Just to see you have fun with music. Especially $B. And the editing on the videos is always on point too. I love the zooms and added visual effects and stuff like that. It takes it a step above being just another reaction. Love you guys

    You have to do Part Time Mutha! Outstanding social commentary, but as others have suggested below they are all fantastic choices. Changes and Dear Mama are tearjerkers.

    Love that you are doing more Tupac !! Tupac was the first rapper/person to bring attention to young teens having babies and throwing them in dumpsters, because they didn't know what else to do. This catapulted the SAFE HAVEN Law , in which a person (adult or teen) can surrender their baby they do not feel they can take care of ; safely through a hospital or fire station or police station, without any kind of prosecution. Tupac had many meaningful songs and songs about important issues. You should do " Keep Ya Head Up" and "Unconditional Love" and "Letter to my Unborn Child". You already did Dear Mama, which I loved. But start with those songs to get to know more about him. Then you can delve into songs where he talks more about the people that tried to destroy him and things he went through that led up to his demise unfortunately. There was and has never been no other like Tupac, the GOAT!! ......... "If an Angel comes down and takes me away....Memories of me and my songs will always stay....Until the End of Time.....Flyyyy....Until the End of Time"

    I don't think Pac meant they were related when he said cousin because back in the day, it meant a gangster that was close personally.

    • @profanepersonality
      @profanepersonality ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @prettylildoll2299 , and cousin doesn't always mean blood or legal relation, especially in the early to mid 90's. Cousin is commonly used to refer to gangsters in the same set, or someone you have an affiliation with, but not related to. Similar shit to when it comes to using the word brother. It does not always literally mean sibling.

    This is a real story he read about in the paper and it disturbed and touched him so deeply he made a song about it to share her story and bring light to the situation. The portrait shown at the very end of the video is actually the real womens picture from the paper. I don't know wether her name was really brenda but that was actually HER in the very last part of the video with the portrait.

    This a is tale of which came first the chicken or the egg. The father is a drug addict how did he get that way? What happened to her mother? Could it be the situation their parents found themselves in? Generational trauma is hard to break and spreads like cancer.

    You missed the most important part of the story. She was being molested by the cousin, she is being abused, and molested. But good song tho.

  • @nicjones2273
    @nicjones2273 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Bro breaking in the middle of a verse (damn, in the middle of a sentence) is hip hop blasphemy. There's a cadence to the music as well as a meaning on the beginning of the verse and the end. When u break midstream like that you just ruin it. Makes zero sense to me, but hey, what do I know?
