    I was very surprised to see such content from you, but positively. I was also faced with the decision to switch to a fully electric car for the next car (in my case a BMW iX3 - the i4 is too small for me and the i5 too ugly and expensive). Since I commute between Berlin and Mainz several times a year, these long journeys were a point that made me think for a long time. If I currently drive off in the evening, I can cover the distance of 630 km in 4:30 hours with a BMW G21 330d. With the iX3 I would have had to charge it 2-3 times and I could not have set the cruise control to 200 km/h, which is almost always the case from Berlin to Erfurt. The diesel is quite fast in German autobahn conditions. Driving through the Netherlands at a maximum speed of 100 km/h during the day is almost irrelevant. In the end, leasing the iX3 without the government discounts for new electric vehicles was so incredibly expensive that I had to take the G21 LCI 330d again. But the 6-cylinder is simply a dream.
    Enjoy the rest of the journey and I look forward to the next parts.

    This was fascinating, especially the shuttle.
    80mph speed limits? We seem to have wider lanes and lower speed limits.
    In NYC, 25mph and they want to lower it to 20mph. Can take an hour just to get out of the city because of anti-car activists.
    Most of the highways around NY are 50mph with people driving 60. One highway linking NY and NJ is 65 with people driving 80.
    I wish we had 80mph speed limits.

    • @Bitdynasty
      @Bitdynasty  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting that is even lower than 70mph limit in UK...

    • @officiallyfall
      @officiallyfall ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the more crowded the road is, the lower the speed limit. Like in Edinburgh city centre in Scotland the speed limit is just 20mph everywhere. The civil engineer is pushing everyone to think driving is not a good idea by making it super slow so people take the public transport as first option

    • @ookamikun
      @ookamikun ปีที่แล้ว

      @@officiallyfall That's awful. The wokes in NYC are trying to get rid of cars too and they're now very open about it.

    Nice one and quite a journey you have planned. I’ve been to Croatia only once but it’s beautiful during summer!
    Do you find it difficult driving with a UK car in central Europe? I am surprised how easy and fast it is to get from near London to Germany tbh. Also, can you sum up all the cost for the journey and compare it to a flight, pls? Would be interesting to see the difference tbh.

    • @Bitdynasty
      @Bitdynasty  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh nice, we go to Croatia every year for the summer! Not a problem at all to adjust for me, you just follow the flow of the traffic! Yeah I was planning to sum up all the cost and compare to diesel / petrol cars as well as compare to flights also. We travelled last year by airplane so I know exactly how much that cost us also :) Be on the lookout for Part 4 for financial details :)
