I remember when Buhari was in power and Mr JD used to complain, "we don't know these people". He used to say this when insecurity was in the headline and we were talking about foreigners from our neighbouring countries. He even complained that it is a security risk to have people you don't know. You don't know where they are from. He said this too whenever there was a headline of a househelp kpaing their oga. Amazingly, he's canvassing for USA to treat aliens with kid gloves but the same should not apply to Nigeria? I have no pity for anyone whose first act is to break the law of your country because that is the first step of disrespect. If they can get away with that, they can conveniently get away with breaking more laws. It's not today USA is deporting illegal migrants but just because it's Trump, it's headline. They want us to not like him. Please stop this hypocrisy. It's annoying. What you can't accept, don't expect someone else to accept. Even Abike Dabiri always campaign against illegal immigration so what are you on to?
U dey mind uncle JD! There is a difference between Legal Immigrants and illegal Immigrants! So he should just fold his hand and allow them run over his country?
Absolutely 💯. I'm so glad there are many sensible out there who can call out the hypocrisy and dodgy "journalism" of JD regarding international politics. There are reasons countries have borders and those must be respected.
Uncle Jimi thank for your analysis about the immigration policy of the convicted fellon Donald Trump, another concern is the money given to Nigeria by the US on antiritoviru drugs for people living with HIV in Nigeria, what are the listless government of the contraption called Nigeria doing in this regard.
Why do analysts conveniently ignore the part that these are undocumented immigrants and illegal immigrants? Do you like undocumented Malians in Nigeria? We are so entitled to the US but can't take the same for our country. Your country cannot intervene here because their citizens are guilty for breaking the law of the United States. Those who entered legally are not complaining. They chained criminals but you want us to think they were legal migrants. Weren't you complaining when foreigners were accused of being behind Boko Haran? Did you defend the aliens in Nigeria too? Aren't there Malians in the country who got in legally?
Why are you all picking on American issues in this program that spanned for 30 minutes? Jimi only discussed the USA briefly. Get off the obsession with DT.

UJD, I beg to differ that countries don't have resources to take care of their people, hence the deportations; No, they just need to maintain their border integrity and curtail unnecessary spending. We are the ones tolerant of reckless illegal immigration. There are thousands of people in US that crossed by land without their names necessarily being on assylum list - it's wrong. UK had spent millions of pounds to accommodate asylum seekers over the years, it's a pressure on their economy. So if Trump says illegal people should leave; it's fine. However, plenty people would still enter US within this 4years, number might be low, but people would get visas.

CNN has made uncle jimmy see Trump as a monster. What is wrong in deporting illegal immigrants. I remember how uncle jimmy was crying on radio about the danger of a lot of Niger and Chad citizens in Lagos doing okarda riding business. Once they are undocumented they are danger to America
America does not have a dictator. He’s doing what is best for his country.
can you imagine him saying that? Distasteful.
If the Nigerians are illegal, of course they should be deported
The issue is not about having immigrant, it is about "illegal" immigrants (non documented people).
Pleasant show this morning from Uncle Jimmy and Oga Sherif. Love you both.

Obama is still reporter general. He didn't make noise but deported over 2million. Trump is still lower for now. It's normal in America.
CNN is no longer the yardstick for news

And watch Fox News? I think the better advice is to interpret CNN knowing it’s bias. All news stations have a bias.
