That's why Judy Nunn quit her role as Ailsa, as Ailsa was a strong character at the start and the writers made her weak. The good thing about this storyline was it was great to see Bobby appear as an hallucination following Ailsa's attack.

rosebankross We got it at 5.10pm on UTV 6.25pm on RTE Ireland which always aired the eps uncut. There were so many edits on UTV I dont know how people did not get confused with the storylines. Remember Laura getting hit with the train? Totally cut out. Remember the school seige. Episode dropped completely then talked about in later eps. Remember chole and brad? The season finale. Ending totally cut. Froze on everyone singing a christmas song . ITV were so bad for that

rosebankross True. To be fair they aired an evening soap so early in the day BUT......Ireland aired it at 6.25pm straight after kids tv from 4pm until 6.25pm and there was no gap......sign off and straight into the show. Just stupid over the top ITV. I was so happy when it moved to channel 5.

rosebankross I mean they totally cut Lauras death out and anyone watching on UK television would be like what happened to her? Then a few years later some editor didn't do his job properly and it was all shown in a flashback. They really ruined a good show. I would hate to think what would have happened post 2001 as it started getting darker. Probably moved to a 2am night slot!!
