In my nearly 30 years on this earth, no piece of instrumental music has moved me as much as this, outside of a soundtrack to a movie I'm nostalgic for or something like that. The first time I played this record through beginning to end, this song stopped me in my tracks. It floored me.
The violas and cellos at 4:08 is some of the creamiest, silky smooth playing I have ever heard. Just a triumphant yet incredibly delicate sounding piece of art that I can't get enough of.
Idk what to say, i never thought I would at some point being in love with this kind of music, this track in particular solidifies this album to be a 10/10 in my heart.
I feel the emotion and power, rise from the deep sea, burn. As bright as the sun. Then burns out, leaves the ash and the world goes back into darkness...
I first listened this song on a road trip from Kansas City to New Orleans. The sun was setting, and we played this song, It was Amazing. Whenever I hear this song I think of that!
I listened to this album just a week before I tested positive for COVID-19. TBH, it didn't do so much for me. While in isolation, I gave a listen to several music... Current, older and all time fave. And then I decided to give myself another chance to check this out. It felt way different... I mean, yes... My Bloody Valentine, Radiohead, King Crimson, Coldplay, Adrianne Lenker, Bon Iver and Black Country, New Road amongst others were strongly meaningful... But this album was truly poignant... the movement 6 was a highlight for those dark days of lockdown while being alone hoping not to die. Luckily, the virus seems to be gone by now... I'm still on the mend and glad to be able to hear this genuine work of art for another while. Cheers, people! Take care.
My DM for Spelljammer used this a lot during our campaign (which out of the many I've been in, was my favorite) I've always thought of this song as our theme; and always brings back good memories
Litterally had a mental breakdown in the showing while listening to this. Even when you’re a happy person, this song makes you feel things I can’t even describe, as if you were remembering something you have never lived. As if all those things you were covering with a smile, or you were not even thinking about were coming back and… That’s both destroying and amazingly beautiful.
Love Pharaoh Sanders and have listened to his music for years. Met and talked with him personally at my home in Oakland, Can at the time over dinner about his music in the early 80s. This collaboration with LSO and Floating Point is a sacred magical work of art, that is a gift to humanity at this critical time on Mother Gaia. I am in absolute awe of the meditative power it has on my spirit and how it takes me into the depths of my Being. Calming, nurturing, transforming the toxic atmosphere we all are experiencing at this time. This song in particular shifts me into higher state of consciousness and a knowingness that all is in perfect and Divine Order. I love the entire album and will purchase to listen over and over again until full disclosure! Much gratitude to all who participated in this musical jewel. 💟❤🎇
I feel like Alice and John are calling Pharaoh home in this movement. He is responding to the call. I can hear them both, here. Especially Alice. Floating Points has brilliantly omitted the modulated thread in this movement as an homage to this calling of these souls...and it's stunning! Pharaoh transcended shortly after the completion of this project. He was leaving at the very end of the LP. Floating Points is a genius. This is a masterpiece

honestly not that great of a piece imo . I read the comments and got very hyped up , this this wasn't even an average track . Even simpler music from a lesser known artist can emit more emotion than this song . It got a little cool toward the end but it wasn't THAT good

Listen to my last instrumental song, maybe you'll love it too :D
I really understand what you mean
Weird way to say you're only in your 20's.

Haven't been able to listen to this part of the album without bursting into tears. Beautiful piece, cathartic.
Same. Twice now it has opened something within me emotionally and I just can't hold tears back. Even on first listen.
the strings do the work
It's like, you go to an abandoned place full of memories and remember them one by one.

This is the greatest piece of music of the 21st Century
I get so emotional when I listen to this. If I hum along, I cry.

I just cried a lot listening to this
Absolute masterpiece art itself
This is undoubtably the masterpiece of one of the greatest albums ever made, would love to have them perform this live some day
sadly never going to happen now... :(
It was just performed (2023) at The Hollywood Bowl. Shabaka Hutchings was on on sax. A real WOW moment. @@atomiste4312
Zero dislikes.. it’s just one of those pieces of music that everyone can agree it’s breathtaking
Breathtaking piece of music, it takes the album to another dimension.
Masterful.
Melon.
Music has peaked with this piece
This is staggeringly beautiful. Always leaves me in awe.
Never have mid-tempo strings gone so hard, and multiple tracks of buildup have been so worth it.
4:22 my soul leaves me every time...
Me too.
beautiful... beautiful.. beautiful!

so much emotions, surrendering to the emotions this gives, gives the ultimate experience no song has ever gave me.
Such an underrated masterpiece...
Nah my friend it's not underrated.. anybody with soul and ears knows what time it is. Peace
actually it's highly regarded
I can't believe I'm this moved. My heart...

This song sounds like it could be used as a sort of Firelink Shrine theme in a new souls-like game

Beautiful...
Absolutely stunning piece of music

Incredible!!!

CRAZY, it reminds me of a passage from the album octave minds by chilly gonzales & Boys noize - done deal
The final moment on the track is eerie in a way most horror films of late have unsuccessfully captured
Even tho the lp is really just one piece of music, this is my fav track of 2021
Dj francus in the mix
I need more music that sounds like this… any suggestions?
Alice Coltrane - Galaxy in Turiya
Lonnie Liston Smith - Let us go into the house of the lord
Pharoah Sanders - Harvest time
Holy fucking shit
0 dislikes, as it should be
I hate how people over share their personal struggles or problems seeking for attention just admire this piece of art in silence please

Does this not remind you of Glass Eyes by Radiohead? Great music!
Yes.
