Putting a note in with the coasters is a wonderful idea. I never thought of that. I will start doing that. As always, thank you for your beautiful artwork and tutorials.
I've just found your channel and am loving it! You have such great ideas and designs. I'm new to resin art and having fun learning. You are a great teacher!
Beautiful coasters, you do such wonderful work! I'd love to know about the centre of that dandelion! I want to get some druzy silicone inserts for coasters to leave that sparkly indent in the centre but this kind of gives that effect with leave the entire coaster flat. I love that. I'm super new and just researching resin tips and tricks for now and your videos have been very helpful. Thank you ❤️💐
30 days curing is needed for pretty all resins (as far as I know) to get it's maximum scratch and heat resistance (the heat resistance of your resin should be on the bottles' labels or the manufacturer website).
Hello, I’m new to making resin coasters and I painted the edges of mine and two days later the gold peeled off. Is it the paint I used? And are markers better?? Thank you so much I love your coasters!!!
What do you do with the paint liquid when you are done with it? Can I pour it into a container, and save it for later? Or will it dry out? Those pens are pretty expensive. Lol. I don't want to waste the ink. I didn't know you could use the ink that way though. That's super cool, thanks. ❤
Yes you can put it back in the container. I actually use another product as well for edges... you can see it in this tutorial... th-cam.com/video/gQqxrYRmJxU/w-d-xo.html
I love watching you Lia. I just found you not long ago. I am interested in top coats. Some coasters do not have a shinny edge and some have matte finishes. I use heat resistant resin top coat no color but it seems I am doing something wrong. Thank you for your time and talent. I appreciate it very much. I am retired just filling empty nest time. I do not youtube I do art and crafts. Thanks so much sorry I got to rambling. Take care my dear. Hugs Sheryl 💙🎨💙 Indiana...
If they are oil based, they should be fine. If they are water based you'll need to coat them with a clear varnish or some resin.. otherwise it'll wash off
It's best to just wipe it off right away before the paint dries... depending if it's a water-based paint or oil based, clean as per instructions. Either with water or isopropyl alcohol
I wonder if any of your pieces are double sided? What I mean is that i have a lot of pieces with light behind to bring out the beauty. Your dandelion coasters would lend them selves to this very well. Do double sided pieces actually exist? Heres hoping.
I think the poured flowers and those types of coasters could definitely be double sided... these handpainted ones are generally more one side (a right and wrong side)
I love your tips and would love to see more full length tutorials!
Thank you!💕 There's definitely more on the way!😊

Hi! Sorry for the delayed response - just seeing your message now. The dandelion tutorial is being uploaded today!😁
@@LiaDiaDesigns no need to apologize, I actually found your page through a FB page and I appreciate another Canadian creator so thanks for that 🤗
Beautiful work. What kind of paint did you use?
Loved this thank you! Do all kinds of resin become heat resistant after 30 days or only the heat resistant resins?
30 days curing is needed for pretty all resins (as far as I know) to get it's maximum scratch and heat resistance (the heat resistance of your resin should be on the bottles' labels or the manufacturer website).
Thank you for sharing
Hope it was helpful!
Thank you Nadia. Will you be showing us your technique on creating faux stained glass or is this one that is only going to be on your web sight? 🥰
Thank you that really helped.
😊that's great! So happy it helped💕
Hi there. Thanks so much for this. Just out of interest, do you top coat all coasters? Bye for now
Hi, yes all my pieces are protected under a clear layer of resin
@@LiaDiaDesigns good to know thank you!

Love your work thanks for sharing J🇬🇧x
Thank you so much for this helpful video! ❤️ Why do you not use a varnish?
These are so pretty. Where might I find the molds???
The dandelions are handpainted (not a mold design) ... you can get plain round agate molds from ShopResinMolds.com my discount code is liadia10

Hey Sheryl...just seeing this... the tutorial I posted today includes top coating coasters... was that helpful?
How did you paint the design of the dandelion? And what have you used for that? Thank you! 🥰
When painting sides. How do you fix the small hollow circles?
I don't😅
Can I use varnish and acrylic gold powder?
I would think so. Test it to be sure
Can I use acrylic paint markers? I can’t find the one you use
If they are oil based, they should be fine. If they are water based you'll need to coat them with a clear varnish or some resin.. otherwise it'll wash off
I mispainted the coasters how do I clean off the paint .very desperately looking for suggestions

Thank you so much

Hi. My Deco color easily dried up when transferred our of the pen. Did you pour everything out?
