Oh that's AWESOME! We had a team event recently where a bunch of lads did that. All Sons of Horus. Their armies linking to each others and covering different aspects, and the same kind of paint scheme. It was SO cool! What Legion you thinking? And will do!
@@blackbriargaming5483 we’ve decided on World Eaters, going to be centred around a ragged force of loyalists who’s chapter was partially traitor and chose to mutiny before escaping the Istvann III Blockade. Hence, we have No commanding Praetor for our narrative event, which is centred around fighting a Guerilla war with no communications to other loyalists. Can’t wait to see more videos!
Very ballsy to have your entire army out in the open on turn 1 😅. Well at least you paid for it, yeesh. Great video report! Excited to see more. For feedback I'd say you might want to look into stop-starting when needing to lookup rules or check things so you don't have dead time, I dunno if you can pause recording or what-have-you with your camera setup.
for a first battle report that was ace, and I'm sure you guys learned a fair bit on the mechanics of filming it. would like to see more HH battle reports.. good job

Doing something else while watching is probably a great idea! The cam is a bit unsteady once I ditched the steady cam (cause of course it is... rookie move) so if you're painting at the same time, it should avoid any feelings of nausea :P What's your list looking like??
Good game and nice to see Thallax being used in a legion list. They are just excellent and versatile troops, bringing line/deepstrike/jump-shoot-jump, some solid weapons and topped off with amazing looks. Working on adding a few more to my own Iron Warriors.
Beautiful armies! I love seeing my beloved XIXth on the field, especially when they look that good. (Mine are mostly infantry, as well.) Iron Warriors looking spectacular as well- both armies are super well done. Nice! 👍🏻
@@blackbriargaming5483 Yeah- love the classics! I’ve only built and painted one 10 man squad of MKVI from the 2.0 box, the Contemptor, Spartan, and converted one of the Praetors. The rest of my Legion is all from the Calth and Prospero boxes and Forge World- mainly FW. I’ve got a couple of hundred infantry, with a Storm Eagle, some jetbikes, outrider bikes, and some Mechanicum allies, but I think the only one on a base smaller than a 32 is the Titan Tech Priest model, as he’s supplied already attached to it. I can appreciate a lot of the new plastics coming out, especially the jetbikes being so much more affordable, but I love my resin! There’s just something special about the older kits- I’m a bit of a relic myself, maybe that’s why I prefer them 😆. Anyway- great work on both armies, and I enjoyed seeing you guys doing a battle report. They’re usually not something that I watch past the army showcases on most channels, but I have a lot of respect for your channel, so I gave it a shot. Looking forward to whatever you’ve got next!

Funnily enough, I got absolutely annihilated by Raven Guard at Adepticon today. 2000 pts, Corax included, landed right in the middle of the 76th Grand Battalion’s lines at the top of turn two. Before then, I couldn’t do anything because of Night Fighting.
@@blackbriargaming5483 I'm not an expert and and am not comfortable giving advice on a purchase like lav mics which tend to be fairly pricey, just stick to reputable manufacturers and you should be fine.
@Sanguine Rayzel gotya, yeah, so I got an $80 set and you can definitely hear the discount deal 😅 After a better table and backdrop, a better mic set is probably the next purchase.
This was interesting to watch. Having been told that 30k was the simpler version of 40k and watching your game, I now have no interest in playing any game that GW has designed. I'd be interested to see more similar videos just so I can live vicariously, but I would recommend getting a better room mic for this kind of thing. Nice work on the video

absolute pleasure to watch. Only tip I can think of would be to maybe get a pair of lav mics, since the audio was touch and go at a few times.
Yeah I got some Bluetooth mics of Amazon but I don't love them. Lav mics? I'd love a link to a good set..?? 😁
