The Rift drops all the gear normally. You can get the set pieces, the gold items etc. There is no mark/medaillions gain. You get the same loot in T1/T2/T3 which is quite dissapointing and 95% of the loot is sadly not good.
@@Dystopie173 I think Osgiliath instances are 95 or 100, i dont remember. But to be honest, we would have beaten rift duo T3 with normal gear too. It was way easier than we expected. WIth normal gear it would have been harder and would have resulted in dying and finding new tactics, but probably doable.
@@swiiz409 You have to do all 3. Each instance drops 2 different ones. But its not an 100% drop. If you open the boxes the gear shows low stats, but after having it in your inventory the stats will increase.
Impressive run, well done! We also tried to duo Rift T3 with captain and beorning. We were successful. I uploaded the video of our run as well, we are excited to hear your opinion. Greetings from Gwaihir
I have not touched Live lotro for 2-3 years now. It is nice to see that there are still people out there who are interested in doing this type of content. I checked out a bit of your video, and noticed the Beo works alot different now, and also there seemed to be a stat squish, because you guys only had like 3-4 k health. I have to say the Rift T3 looks with the stat squish way easier than it was. (Not like it was hard before). There was never a threat of the tank dying at any time. I remember that Thaurlach was basically impossible to tank when he is in the phase with the debuff of increased crit damage. Also the poison attack could oneshot the tank if you are unlucky. And we played with all the store buffs, the weird Osgiliath gear and old Lootbox jewelry. The damage on the elf seems also lower. We had to position her in that weird spot where his attacks go above her head, because she was at risk of getting 3 shot. I dont know how strong the Beorning is now, but it seems like its now possible to do solo on T3 maybe? The Beorning in your video could kill all the ads solo already, and if the elf is now tankier than before she could tank the Balrog for a while. Also the everseer room is possible to finish quickly without actually killing anyone and locking the ads in the room, if you pull the levers quickly, so that room wouldnt be any issue.
@@AriamaAruven The Beo here. First of all I want to thank you for all your videos. If I wouldn't have showed this video to Mel (the Cappy) he wouldn't have come up with the crazy idea to ask me to do this duo challenge. I only recently completed my first full clear of T3 Rift on-level just 1 week ago. (Yes, I'm quite new to LOTRO only having played for 1.5 years.) We needed a whole 6-man group with all the necessary roles. You can watch a playlist of this run here th-cam.com/play/PLVYep0WnXoK5ZLKHRfMpdzJR13_29Y6JR.html (also includes several wipes on Thaurlach with some obvious misplay by us also ^^) *splitting my comment to prevent it from being auto-deleted by TH-cam*
The idea to do the duo run started this past Monday. We completed up to Thaurlach but we had to continue the run on Thursday before the raid reset. It took us a a total of 11 attempts to duo Thaurlach before we succeeded. We had to upgrade the Cappy's gear & Virtues otherwise he would just get 1-hitted. We couldn't even reach the 50% morale phase with the puking diseases. I can't tell exactly how Rift was affected by the stat squish, but I think in some ways it may be slightly easier, in some ways harder. I understand your point of view watching this video because it is actually hard to see that we were struggling other than the scary moment the Cappy got hit by the AoE splash. In general I think the difficulty of the instance per se is roughly the same as before, but the conditions available make it easier slightly easier. (With the stat squish it feels a bit easier to reach your stat goals. Some classes also are inbalanced early game like the Beo especially but also Cappy heals for example. We could've used the new Legendary Items to make it slightly easier, but chose not to.) Even still this was by no means an easy fight for us. So many things to be aware of. The last week I learned a dozen new things about the fight. So, the increased crit damage is still very dangerous (Cappy died to it several times before I could clear the Ever-seer). The puking diseases are still also very likely to instantly kill the tank if all 7 of them lands on him. We specifically optimized the Cappy's defences to survive this (enough morale, resistance, b/p/e rating) and being aware of the 60s cooldown of the ability to prepare for it with skill cooldowns. Glathlirel still takes a lot of damage. We have at least 2 runs where she died. The Beo is definitely OP currently. It would actually be the best tank for Thaurlach. We tried that combination once but the Cappy struggles with enough dps for the Ever-seer room. Btw, I had no idea you could skip the Ever-seer by just turning the wheels and having him T-pose freeze like he did in your video. Even though I watched it in full and analyzed the Thaurlach segment in detail I never saw this xD. I honestly am glad we didn't because this skip seems way too easy and enables even more duo combinations... But the fight is still impossible to solo due to the Elf dying in just a couple seconds after leaving the platform... I also uploaded my VODs of the duo run here: th-cam.com/play/PLVYep0WnXoK6ARtXwQWIew-5zVHMie7d5.html All in all, I wish the Rift would be re-balanced so that anything below a 6-man group on T3 would be impossible... as well as fixing bugs such as the Ever-seer exploit (same goes for many other low level areas of course). But maybe this is only something the Echoes project are willing to do?
@@LiNGeNn Well, being maxed out in every way possible is mandatory for this kind of stuff. I dont think the Ever-seer thing is really an exploit. Being able to do the 3 leavers quickly and locking the mobs in the room is a thing since forever, I dont know for sure, but i think it may be in the game since the raid got released. That the ever seer exploits outside of the room is newer tho. Used to get stuck in the room aswell. You can also lock the mobs in the rooms with the wheel if you play it correctly. Used to be a common strat, to root them all, turn the wheel and leave them inside.
@@LiNGeNn I can see in your Zogtark fight that the incoming damage of this raid is way lower than it used to be. The drakes do almost 0 damage on you guys. They used to have insane damage if tanked in range, if you are unlucky you are 2-shot. Kinda sad that the stat squish nerfed the rift so hard :(
Shame yellow Guardian got hit the way it did back when the PVP server launched. I wish I could say I was surprised they never touched FoL again, but I'm not.
@@cjwright79 All classes are overpowered compared to Lotro classic, but thats okay. The low level landscape and dungeons need to get adjusted to make it balanced again, but they wont do it, mostly because SSG doesnt care but also because the mecanics in low level lotro are just outdated. Which class in particular is stronger than others I cant tell you, I havent touched this game in a long while, sorry.

No, that server doesnt exist anymore.
Dropping this in case anyone notices, would a Captain/Champion duo manage this t1 with on level gear?
don't know but Champion-Captain is an incredible combination in my expererience! Taigen on Arkenstone
guard-cap-champ 3 manned on levl

You can wear the teal loot from the osgiliath instances with lvl 50, but it has like lvl 75 stats.
