Don't just take the technology, but also improve the gas turbine lab within DRDO so that it can not only absorb the technology, but also develop the next-generation variants. This is human resource development issue where dynamic young PhDs in turbomachinary area are hired from world-class universities around the world. Then they should be given freedom and funding to sink their teeth into the technology and develop the future versions of the engine. This requires a BIG change in DRDO mindset, which is notorious for losing its talent to software companies in Bangalore.
We must get Rafale F4 some or latest F5 version remaining under MRFA and ACCEPT SAFRON technology for our AMCA2 Tedbf etc engines of 120 Kn thrust. This will be ideal, economical , viable & trustworthy decision keeping in view DUAL TECHNOLOGIES (engines) at our service
Why not GE 414 - EPE in AMCA MK 1 which generates 116KN thrust and it is sufficient for AMCA MK 1 to Super Cruise ??? GE F- 414 EPE consumes 3 to 5 percentage less fuel and its weight is also less and generates 18 KN more thrust when compared to GE -414
USA will not give its 100% technology at any cost, all take time, more time, it takes 7-10 years for AMCA, in between we got news that india going for old F35😊😊

M88 based engine with a higher thrust is still a 4 th generation engine. We need new 5 th / 6 th gen technology.
