Worth bearing in mind that Bobby is now officially suffering from dementia and hearing loss, the symptons of both must have started years back, that must have been very scary for poor Bobby and I think he tried to hide it for years with bravado. He has sang on some all-time classics but we all get old even those who like being on stage, it must be hard to quit the stage when that's all you know how to do and all you want to do. Get well Bobby
Thank you very much for a message with height, those of us who work with Bobby Kimball not only appreciate him as the great human being that he is, an active animalist and a human being who participated in all the aid campaigns that I can in the world, but the singer who made famous the great songs of Toto.
I love Bobby did so many amazing vocals over the years I would put money on it that he is suffering from a problem related to tinnitus. There's definitely some sort of a hearing problem. He has a tendency to go sharp not flat. Just my opinion
Youre right there, I was wondering if anyone else would notice. He still has a good range, but if he was struggling he would be hitting more flat notes. He's good on some melodies then his pitch goes up alot, which is because of hearing loss, it must have got worse over the last few years. Seems to struggle more in loud live enviroments, obviously with loud PA, however when you watch him in some interviews where hes singin with piano or quieter rooms he seems fine, still got a damn good voice. Theres a vid on here somewhere in an interview an he does a crackin version of Rosanna, take a listen at 1:01:40 - th-cam.com/video/OKCqIGNxBF8/w-d-xo.html has a lot of positive comments on this vid about his voice, tho you can tell his hearing is down, as in interviews, some people say he misses some questions or speaks slowly at times. And he seemed good in 2013 when he was doin a Retro festival - th-cam.com/video/B_t2xEOSb64/w-d-xo.html, which had some other 80s stars performing at. Unfortunately more comment on the vids of his off days than the good vids, btu theres a few of us who can still give him some support
@@ryanaj69 I agree with you buddy I wish people wouldn't be so harsh on these guys. There's part of me that knows that some of these singers are reading these comments and probably feeling terrible. I've been a musician most of my life and I played professionally for over 20 years and I would still give anything to be on stage performing with Bobby even on his worst day. 😀
Io penso che Bobby debba rassegnarsi all idea che ormai per lui non c è più nulla. È stato un grande cantante forse uno dei migliori ma sarebbe bene per la sua immagine terminarla qui.
Its great that he's doing the choruses better than recent times but what a terrible band he's got. Id love to see Bobby just playing a piano and singing. Toto make him and his band look very novice.
Bobby was great back in the day. Unfortunately, he is battling and no longer able. Thankfully Steve (original) and Joe, (might as well be original) are carrying the TRUE Toto forward, thank god Steve can still here.
OMG Bobby is a train wreck! What is he doing? I understand the keyboard player is not a native English speaker, but he brutalizes the lyrics, they are flat out wrong in the first verse. Bobby's voice is shot so he just screams. It's really sad. And no one 70 years old has hair that jet black.
Jesus, get Autotune into Kimball fx rack, pronto. Not much of a Toto fan but I think anyone can appreciate what a great piece of songwriting Africa is, but this is just horrendous excepting the reasonably authentic keyboard sounds.
Scotty 2 Hotty that's a pro. When you're on stage, no matter what, you have to look like you want to be there. Even when you're dealing with this... Lol
@@bag2289 1:10 You can see that he see's him pull the mic closer and you can see him stifling laughter a bit because he knows whats about to come but he's also still giving that look and nod of encouragement because he knows as embarrassing as it is, he's making an old man happy, I respect that
How about this - he is giving lessons on how to use the voice as an instrument.... I'm not kidding, you can get singing lessons from Bobby Kimball. Bobby -- retire dude. You had it, you hit the wall, and I still love your past effort, but this is bad bad bad.
I feel like this is never ending
the keyboard guy is just like,, ahh fuckit...im getting paid
OH my GOD BOBBBBYYYYYY??????????????? WHAT ARE YOU DOING ????????
He's living the life of a musician. If you got a problem with his vocals then you should leave this video and not come back.

The best thing about this video is the Korg Kronos and the dude whos playing it.
Me parece una buena presentación. Lo dio todo, como siempre hizo. Grande Bobby ❤
Bobby appears to be able to vocally hit the notes, but having trouble maintaining the melody. Not sure if that's something he can remedy.
SUre he can its called Bleach
Tan bello Bobby, dejaste un legado, los años pasan factura, pero sabemos que alguna vez fuiste el mejor
I miss you Bobby
The old boy's vibrato has gotten way from him. Reminds me of the senior ladies in church.
Drummer has no idea how to play this song with a rhythm that suits the song.
The drummer could be playing Disney's greatest hit rhythms or Michael Jackson's Beat It to this and he looks like he could care less!!!!
Trust me, the drummer should be the least of their worries here.
Jeff Porcaro is literally rolling over in his grave!
Drummer isn't into it much.

I love Kimball, but someone should have told him the truth.
Heart breaking.
So sad to think how amazing he was. Look at the performance from Paris I think 2007.... I think 2009 also. Such a shame
the man on keyboards is quite a bad singer
the man on the vocal too
Which one on keyboards? :D
Aside from Kimball being an obvious train wreck, the keyboard player sings the wrong lyrics in the first verse
Cool guy.

Was this a rehearsal or an actual paid event?
Bobby Kimball He's still a great singer.
Sounds like a high school band.
it does too
Its great that he's doing the choruses better than recent times but what a terrible band he's got. Id love to see Bobby just playing a piano and singing. Toto make him and his band look very novice.
i would love to see him do a acoustic thing that would be awesome
The band isn't top notch, but the sound guy's mix isn't doing anyone any favors either.

😭
I think he made A DOODIE IN AFRICA
😲😲😲😲😲😲
He’s embarrassing himself. This is sad
What's happened Bobby?
What should Steve Lukather think about the guitar solo?
The solo came in from out of nowhere. Lol!!
Bobby sings africa during his lunch break LOL Plss bobby just go silent into the night
That water bottle must be full of vodka! Wow! So bad.
I wish it would end lol
Shame on you Bobby....😥😣
Palau...ya no digas q tocas con Kimball...por favor 🙏😥
Ouch. All that water he's drinking indicates some sort of drug abuse.

Feel better now?
Lol give him some grace he's 70, not like the audience thought they were seeing him back in 70s/80s form
lol that's worst than suicide. back then in the 70's & 80's he does have a great voice but now he needs to retire (no offense).
So in 2015 he sang all parts of the song and couple years later he only sang the reff part of the song. No improvements have been made apparently.
In his head thinking he is Mike poscaro hahahah 4:28
Lol
bobby can sing about 3 notes now
2 more than you can😂
“Cocaine is a hell of a drug!”
I mean he's not that bad
How come bobby always drinks water on stage??
Jon Y trying to help lung
I'm positive there's actually rum or vodka in there
He drinks to forget.
:”v
Dont do drugs kids! When Old people start dyeing their hair and look the Way they sound, like shit! #exithero

Omg como destrozar una cancion en 3 minutos.....hicieron la del chavo ....cada uno x su lado ...

My God, take this guy to the mental institution.
Stop it !!!!!!

I could never play in this band because it would be too embarrassing to be a part of.
You’re commenting on every Bobby Kimball video on youtube, with the comments being months apart. Are you regularly searching for new videoes?
Yes. Are you?
@@wesleystafford8521 No, just today.

Cambien si o si a ese batero... Cero seguridad en el groove, cero consistencia en los fills...
woah that's so shit
This is absolutely cringe worthy awful. Best to Bobby but this shouldn’t have been posted.
Looks like a bad cover's band, and I'm not just talking about Bobby's voice...
Horrible!!!!!!
