You work too brutal. Don't need to tap the screws so many times. You should unscrew them about 5 turns, then you just tap them until they are attached to the lower legs assembly

You mean a white paste like the fork grease from Dynamic? Cause it looks like he just used fork oil.
Torque wrench needs to be used, expensive mistake if you strip or damage threads.
